Character Races:
Below are the races that characters can be, bear in mind, not all races are created equally, and some have advantages over others, a racial choice may also affect your innate social standing as well as how you grew up.

Race	Race Description
Human	Your bog-standard human, humanity is the most numerous sapient species on the planet, inhabiting most of it and adapting to almost any environment in the world through a combination of ingenuity and simply outbreeding the other races. Humanity has ruled the world as a whole for so long that inhuman creatures, magic and the like have long become nothing but a myth to much of the populace.
Ghoul	The result of Vampire blood being fed to a human being, the virulent blood can warp and change a human, gifting them with abilities similar to that of their vampiric maker, though these attributes are still duller than there true-blooded counterparts, a ghoul is still a force to be reckoned with, displaying extreme levels of strength, reflexes and possessing a natural instinct that rivals that of many animals. Considered to be lowly thralls in vampire society, many ghouls make a name from themselves within human society as fighters, sportsman or Olympians, being visually no different than there human origins.
Akashi	The Akashi is a race of half-breeds, part human and part mammal. In truth, Akashi is a blanket term for a number of species, with varying origins and aspects. Generally, however, Akashi has at least one clear visual aspect of them that relates to the animal they are a hybrid of. The more difficult to hide features of an Akashi can make blending in with human society quite difficult, and they often find trouble being accepted by other monstrous races, who generally see them as being on the same levels of ghouls in inhuman society.
Vampire	Extremely powerful creatures of the night that possess physical abilities that dwarf the humans they feed on, Vampires are immortal beings that have very few things to fear, age will not kill them, nor will a mere blade. This is true of 'Trueblood Vampires' who can only be slain by sunlight. Due to low birth rates amongst vampires, the majority of Vampiric society consists of half-breeds, having grown weaker with each consecutive generation. Most current vampire blood is so diluted that a mortal weapon could slay them if it's strike is placed well, though they no longer need fear the sun, prolonged exposure only so much as giving them mild sunburn. A vampires blood also contains very powerful regenerative abilities, healing potentially fatal wounds when ingested by a being other than a vampire. As virulent as a vampires blood is, to maintain their strength, they require the ingestion of blood themselves, though many vampires that have integrated into human society feed on animals, the higher-ups of society continue the traditional practices of feeding on humans.
Greater Daemon	Born from the sin of other living beings, Greater Daemons are a culmination of emotions. This makes them quite emotionally wild creatures, either being overly sensitive or merely embodying a single emotion much stronger than others. The difference between a Greater Daemon and a human is often more obvious than other races, there skin has a reddish tint, varying from very light to a deep crimson, Daemons also possess horns and bat-like wings that grow as the Daemon matures, though many Daemons do not possess wings suitable for flight until the age of 30. The expected lifespan of a Daemon is 500 Years.
Angel	Supposedly holy beings, most Angels grow up without knowledge of their true nature, most often left in orphanages as babes until they are old enough to be called to the heavens above, better able to make their judgements on mankind after living amongst them. Generally, an angel discovers there true nature during puberty, developing white-feathered wings that they often quickly learn to hide, the wings usually small enough to hide underneath thick clothing. By the age of 15, angels are contacted by a more mature member of the species, offered a chance to reside in Heaven when they turn 20. Those that accept this offer are brought to the heavens when they come of age, whilst those that refuse are deemed Fallen Angels, some losing their wings, whilst others merely develop darker wings, a mark by God that they refused the heavens.
Kabaal	The Kabaal is a species of Lizardfolk that originated in Egypt, originally hulking, scaly things that were seen as lizards that stood on two legs, their ever-continued integration into human society has even lead to some physical changes, most Kabaal now possessing far more skin than scale, what remains of their true heritage are there prehensile tales and claws, though even these claws are often filed down. Whilst they are naturally stronger than a human and possess a heightened sense of smell and hearing, they cannot match up to creatures such as Vampires and Angels, as well as this, their cold-blooded nature means that they are often strongly affected by changes in the weather, becoming slow, both physically and mentally when there temperature drops below 5 Degrees Celcius. A Kabaal has a similar lifespan to that of a human.
Deminala	Immortal beings in the truest sense of the word, a Deminala is a truly unkillable creature in the guise of a human. However, there is nothing else that defines them, creatures that possess no abilities other than their immortality, completely unable to use even the foundations of magic that many other races possess. It should be noted that a Deminala can be injured just as easily as a regular human, though the moment these wounds become fatal and they would otherwise perish, they instantly regenerate, brought back from the brink of death.
