Absolutely Nobody!

Hey, so, I've been a member here since Monday now... Is it just me, or is absolutely nobody interested in roleplaying? I can't tell if my threads aren't showing up or what, but no matter what starter I post, nobody ever says anything at all. Is anyone else having a problem with finding roleplays too? And if so, does anyone have any advice that could help? Am I doing something wrong?

i love nick check]What's your roleplay called?
It's called "The Thing About Machines..." Here's the link to it [URL="https://www.rpnation.com/threads/undertale-the-thing-about-machines.189382/ said:
Detailed - Undertale: The Thing About Machines...

Have you posted an actual interest check for the rp? Typically you post the ic, receive interest/responses, and then you link the rp for people to come and submit character applications. Note that the interest check is separate from the rp itself.

No, I haven't. Thanks for the advice, I'll try that out!

If you click on a genre of rp you want to create an rp for, at the top of the page there is a subforum called "[insert genre] Interest Checks." Click on that and get an idea of what people are doing for their IC's and then you can post your own. If you don't post an IC no one will know your rp exists, so that's probably why you never got a response! Glad I could help.

I started my RP with an interest check... I've had more prospective players than I could take on

It's also a good idea to join other people's roleplays in order make connections. If people have played with you or talked to you elsewhere on site, they're more likely to be interested in what you're doing.

Yes, as with all things people are more likely to follow your lead if you've shown yourself to be capable and consistent with less responsibility.

Honestly, sometimes people just never see the threads! I've made a few threads before that get no one, and I decide to link a few people who are online at the time (I don't link to EVERYONE, but I link to a few people asking about a RP invitation) and then I see what goes from there. It's usually helpful, because there are people interested in the RPs everyone does, but sometimes people just never see them.
