K so I'm gonna preface this by saying I was really pissy when I wrote this out for reasons I'd rather not get into and looking back on it I wrote this really stupidly. My problems with the site aren't really genuine issues, and it was basically me just fuckin nitpicking because I'm a bitch. I know the creators of the site put a lot of hard work into this update and my stupid ass feedback was unnecessary at best. I didn't really have a place to say all the shit I said here, especially in the way I said it, and I'm really sorry for being such a jerk about it. I love this website no matter the looks, and my opinions were unneeded.

In fact, I'm actually really starting to like the dark theme in the new setup, and I should have given this a chance before immediately posting something stupid and rude.

Again, I'm really sorry for this being stupid and lengthy over things that didn't ever actually matter.

I absolutely love this website. I think it's amazingly moderated and the majority of the people on here are really good. This is by far the best roleplaying site I have every been a part of and I love it for that.

But what were they thinking with this update I'm sorry

I love the people who run this site I think they're great and this website is amazing

But this change is...bad. It's like going from an iPhone 8 to an iPhone 3...It feels like they took several steps back in the design of the site and I'm sorry it sucks. It feels...crowded and hard to navigate. The old site was really well put together. Everything flowed really nicely, it was centered on the page beautifully...and now it feels like everything is just getting smashed together. It's hard to focus on an individual section of the screen. Before each of the thread sub-categories were nicely defined and it was easy to tell that each sub-category was for.....and now they kinda mush together. This feels like what the website would have been like before an update...not after.
Everything feels like its being forced all the way to the left of the screen. Like I keep wanting to scroll sideways but there's no scroll bar because it's just because of how the site it. I've zoomed out because the top bar is very large and it takes up quite a lot of the page, which diverts my attention to it instead of to what I'm reading or writing. Every design element in this new update feels like when someone makes their first website...not the update to an already beautifully run site that had a really nice look and feel. Maybe I'll get used to it, but overall it' just...not nearly as good as the old one. I don't understand why this is so...lacking to me.

Obviously, the design of the site doesn't change the people on it or the way its run....but it's just quite annoying to go from something really nice to something that feels...sub-par.

I love this website and all of the people on it, and the moderators and creators of the site are great...but this update just isn't what I hoped it'd be...

Overall the design of the site actually isn't awful when not in comparison to the old one. It flows okay, and it's not like it's impossible to navigate or read, it's just more difficult is all. You can still get to everything you need, it's not like you have to dig to find things, it just doesn't look as nice as it used to in my opinion. I still am in love with this site and the way that the leaders and moderators run things, despite not liking the new theme, and I will continue to use it no matter my issues with how it looks. And who knows, maybe I'll get used to it and come to love it. I'm known for not being great with change, so that's a v big possibility...

The dark theme is better, I admit. I don't mind it, in fact I think it's probably on par with the old light theme, although it's quite different. But I still stand by what I said about the light theme. I'm not sure why the dark theme isn't so much of an issue, it doesn't really make sense but I felt I should add that. If you agree with anything I said I'd say to try the dark theme and see if you like it any more.

I am not sure if there are other people who feel this way, or if most people love this...this is just my opinion and you can do with it what you will. Personally, I don't like this new look, but if you do there's nothing wrong with that....I just think that, as a user of the site, I should give feedback on things with it, whether they're good or bad.

The dark theme, for some reason, isn't nearly as much of an issue, like the top bar doesn't get in the way at all and actually a lot of the otherstuff isn't really as much of an issue, but the light theme is just kind of...off. And tbh it could even be my laptop or browser just not displaying it correctly but idk...?

Most of my issues are really more of an issue of habit I think, but that was one that drove me a little nuts, although the dark theme definitely isn't so distracting.

Actually it'd be appreciated if the top bar could have an option to hide it (maybe in itself, or in the settings page); or could be slimed down; or maybe both? Because I kinda am forced to use the web in a very large size (since I can't read small fonts!) so that'd be cool if it could be implemented!

I'm sure it would require a lot more work, of course, but if they were able to that would be a helpful feature...

The "new light" and "new dark" themes are both beautiful. Better than the other two themes from this update, but also better than the themes from the old one. I like the way things are setup...it's very clean in both cases.
