Help About Nation-Building..

Honeyed Tea

No, I am not served cold.
I've spent a few minutes browsing the Nation-Building section, interested in how it works. All I've managed to come up with is that, instead of playing a character or two(or three.. or however many some of the super-humans on this site can manage at once), you'll control a large group of characters, a "nation", I guess. Is this really the only difference? I'm interested in trying one out, but I'm not exactly sure how they work. I'm also not entirely sure this is where my post should go. So help on both fronts is appreciated.

That's pretty much it, yes. ^3^ The action tends to be on a much larger scale that way. More "Axis and Allies" than "Clue," to put it in boardgame terms.

And this post is in the right spot. ^D^

Thanks, and thanks!

I was thinking more like "Risk," than "Axis and Allies." Anyways, thanks for replying. I thought it was right, but wasn't completely sure.

Some roleplays tend to be more structured, with statistics and resources to manage, while others can be quite open form.

They also tend to move a bit slower then other forms of roleplay here from what i've seen.

Yeah usually you take control in the direction you want to take your country however the GM usually dictates what happens as a result of what you are going for. Or if it's an event that is dictated by player responses that obviously changes things slightly.
