A Way To Not See Posts/Threads I delete

Loke Fullbuster

The Language Enthusiast
When I own a hosted project, how do I keep from seeing posts and threads I delete? I know I can't do it by hiding them since I have semi mod permissions in a hasted project. Any other way? They're an eyesore and make my rp look bad to me. It's also unnecesary clutter.

You could possibly ask one of the staff members to permanently delete the posts for you.  I was told that you can post in the thread and tag one of the staff members to get their attention since there currently isn't a roleplay support forum at this time.

Another alternative?  Unhide them and edit them with the new content that you have!

We don't like to perma-delete because it messes with the database counter, but yes, it is possible for staff to do so.  Please don't tag a particular staff since they may not be available.  We don't have a "roleplay support" forum but we do have Support; you can make a ticket there and one of the staff will attend to it as soon as possible.

Personally I endorse the idea of editing rather than deleting, particularly if you're going to create new content anyway. ^_^

Many users are also creating a subform to move all their Hidden items into, kind of like the Recycle Bin on a Windows desktop.  That seems the best of both worlds to me - it's out of the way, you don't have to look at it, and if you need a new thread, you can always move one out, edit it, and un-hide it!

I personally love this idea, but all of my rps are currently at the limit already for subforums so that doesn't exactly help.

Any suggestions for someone already at the subforum limit?

Make a support ticket and ask for more. ^_^   The limit is for user-created subforums.  Staff can add more as needed.

If all you need is to no longer see deleted posts you have, they don't need to be perma deleted.

All you have to do is to go to you Roleplay Homepage=>Roleplay Management=>Manage Roles

Then you must edit your GM role (or equivalent). Click on the the 'Forums' tab besides permissions then scroll down and unselect 'Can view hidden posts/answers?'

That should make you stop being able to see hidden posts in your Hosted Project.
