Harman gets his horse and gets it out to trot.


'It's not Windstriker, but it's a fine horse either way." the spirit in the shield says to Harman mentally, thinking of his old horse. With a silent agreement. 'A good horse is a good horse, master.'

 

[Verdas]

Valdus stops halfway and soaks his sword in the red liquid once again let it soak in

Harman stops his horse and turns to his companion. "We'll have plenty of time to feed your blade when we get there, you know. I didn't plan on immediately barging in." he says to Valdus.

 

[Verdas]

"It's just in case we get attacked. I don't want to fight with a dull blade." He says sheathing his sword and then letting his horse trot once mote

 

[CoreyXIX]

"Ah, alright then." Harman says, beginning his trot once Valdus catches up to him.

 

[Verdas]

"Destination in sight." Valdus says standing on his saddle

Sure enough, the forest area gave slight way to several caves opening all nearby each other. From the looks of it nobody was outside the system. "It looks like they are holed up inside." Harman says. "I'm willing to bet all those caves opening are connected below."

 

[Verdas]

"I must say I have a bad feeling about this..." Valdus says looking at the caves

 

[CoreyXIX]

"Yeah, we'll be heading onto their grounds." Harman says, appraising the situation. "A full-frontal assault isn't a wise choice. I suggest we spend some time scouting before we head in." he suggests, looking around.

 

[Verdas]

"Hmm..." Valdus ponders over the idea of setting up traps

'Simple scouting may not be enough. The two of you could probably lure some of them out here.' says the mentor spirit to Harman as he ponders their options. there was a good chance they would be outnumbered at least 2 or 3 to 1. Those weren't the kind of odds that went in the favor of two people hoping to cash a bounty. "Do you think maybe we could lure some out here and pick them off a few at a time? At least until they notices something is amiss?" Harman suggests.

 

[Verdas]

"I suppose so. My sword is getting hungry... I'm going in. If I don't come back out in 30 minutes, think of me as dead, dying, or lost." Says Valdus, tying his horse to a tree and then rushing into the cave

Harman dismounts his horse before tying it as Valdus charges in. "Only to 15, not to 30." he says to the horse after Valdus goes in. "I'm not so keen on letting your master risk himself without my aid."

 

[Verdas]

"Hmm..." No signs of any of them yet." Valdus thinks to himself

Harman waits at the ready, counting the time as he readies his sword and shield.

Rinoa walks by ignoring what was going on "I must find her.." Rinoa mumble to herself

 

[Verdas]

Valdus goes deeper into the cave an finally finds some bandit most likely guarding the place and he quickly but silently runs up to him and slits his throat with an extra knife and lets his sword suck the blood out of his dead body

Harman looks up at the sun, then to the cave. He has about 5 minutes left before he starts poking around.

Rinoa stop walking and looks around "what is that noise..." She ask herself while turning away "Must of been nothing.." he continued walking alone into the dark forest

Mia sits in her shrine pondering for a while looking up at the sky she grew bored and started to walk to a tree and climbed it.

"hmm?" Rinoa notice the spirit around her are scared "what is happening why the spirit are acting like this?" Rinoa walk deeper in the forest

Mia see the spirits and smiles softly as the amount grew when she see them some off them start to form around the tree she is in

 

[Verdas]

"I'm quite sure I've taken care of them all..." Says Valdus, cleaning his knive with a trail of bloodless bodies behind him

"3..2..1.." Harman's countdown finishes. Well, time to head on in. He quickly approaches, trying to not make much noise despite the difficulty. As he gets to the entrance and sees no living being he quickly heads down into the cave system. Stopping for a minute he readies himself, taking a deep breath and stopping to sense evil. The faint taint of evil could be felt, but none nearby. He picks up his pace as he heads in, using his ability to keep himself from being ambushed.

Rinoa walks slowly deeper in the dark forest "I must keep going it my duty as a summoner to protect the spirit of this world" As soon Rinoa she became deeply afraid of the forest "mother.. father.... please protect me" She mumble in fear
