A Tale of ValkyriesThe life of Warriors

Throughout the ages there has been warfare, and no one would expect the future to be any different. Many wish for peace, but peace- in it's nature, is simply temporary at best. There will always be conflicts, differing opinions and interests, who may lead to the greatest conflict ever concieved- this story is based on one such event.

A Tale of Valkyries plays out in the year 2205 and the world looks as divided as it possibly could be. The roleplay will center itself around a group of factionless 'nomads' who originate from every corner of the world, they are known as the Valkyries- the Warrior Angels. Before I go further into the setting of the world and the most basic of information concerning the idea, I'll just mention some basic requirements that I'll have from my roleplayers (should they participate).

1. I hold high expectations, this roleplay WILL be under the detailed tag, which means that I desire at lot from you people as writers. Whilst this may seem off-putting at first, I can honestly say that you won't get anywhere if you don't push your current skills to the brink. I'll do my best, so I hope you guys will as well.

2. This roleplay will be a group roleplay- meaning that there will be multiple people roleplaying their character(s) as part of the same group. At the very beginning I will not approve (nor allow) a lone-wolf idea. Drama may errupt in the middle of the story- causing a person to go his own direction. In that type of scenario I can approve of such actions, I may even help him on his way.

3. You will not start off in the most insane thing imaginable. Initially you must remember that as a member of the Valkyries you do not have any sort of funding, high quality software, equipment, nor much experience. There may be exceptions to that with the addition of former pilots, or soldiers- but they will be limited. As to the extent they will be limited is what I'm unsure of as for now.

4. I may improve on, or edit, even add to these rules in the future.

Onto basic information then. This roleplay, as some may have understood, will mostly center around the Valkyrie group (they're a sort of anti-current world order who are classified as terrorists by everyone). The roleplay will also include all sorts of environments such as social interactions in urban areas to desert conflicts in torn battlefields.
However, the most important part of this world are the Maneuverable War Frames (commonly refeered to as Frames or War Frames).

These
Frames are the corner stone of everything in the practical departments of this world. Everything from building, transporting, and even warfare is dominated by these frames. Their universality has proven a great asset and through 100 year of evolving this technology, it has finally blossomed into something seemingly mythological.

Now, if there are some questions or concerns then I will gladly respond to them on this thread, but also via PM. I'm (always) on the teamspeak if you'd ever need me.

So for anyone without a Frame, battling another Frame would be impossible unless they had a whole bunch of people or some tricky strategy up their sleeve right? Also, if we were to participate in the roleplay, would we start off with our own low budget Frame, or without a Frame at all?

@InsaneAsylum It is possible to fight a frame, as in there are ways to fight a tank in current day times. It'd simply be difficult due to the agility of the frame itself, hence why it's possible, but never really advised.

As for the beginning I was thinking that the team starts off with a small amount of construction grade Frames, I have a plan on the board for how things will advance on.

Alright so we start off with mechas like this?

So ways they would get better robots would be to steal them, make them, or buy them off some black market type thing? I'm sure the enemy won't sell them any.

A detailed rp, huh? Well, don't mind if I do. I'm a fan of large robits shooting at each other as much as the other guy. But let me change my vote real quick to a more hybrid style thing..

This is a very correct assumption.

Wonderful, good to have you.

Thrown my lot into this vote and my interest as well. Love a story with influence of robots included.
