First Arc: The Island of Big Monsters and Big Swords

In a castle surrounded by plentiful forests was Sora Knightwalker. He was saying goodbye to the home he had known for about 20 years. He knew he probably won't be back here until a long time. He turned and was heading toward the door when a man in a black cloak that concealed his face completely appearwd between Sora and the door. "Son, must you really go against me, you know what awaits you if you do. So why do you oppose, why not join me? We're father and son shouldn't we be on he same side?" The figure said. Sora glared and said "Like hell I will join you. You don't even see what your doing as wrong. I'm gonna stop you no matter what. Nothing you say will change my mind." The cloaked figured shifted and said "Well I see I can't breach your resolve. Well I get going then seeing as I can't convince you otherwise." The figure disappeared. Sora stood for a moment then smiled opening the door.

He left his room, he had already made sure this land and castle would be well taken care of and protected. As he marched out the front gates he could see Cassandra(@Caits ) Standing outside waiting for him. "Well shall we go?" he said to her.

Cassandra spent the first few hours of being awake out side, despite the little light. She enjoyed tending to the horses her family owned. She fed, exercised and brushed them down, taking her time, knowing she had enough time. She then looked about the place she called home, and found that she didn't regret having to leave it. She would miss it, yes. But she couldn't stay there forever. Shouldering a pack, she began to walk.

Cassandra always found that walking was good for you. You could think, or you could just enjoy the scenery. Either way, to Cassandra it was peaceful. It didn't take her long to reach the gates to Soras place, but she didn't go in. She thought it better to stay outside, and when Sora came out, she nodded, "yep. Ready as I'll ever be"

"Glad to hear it. So in order to gain sufficient forces to oppose the Underwold, we need to unite Midworld. There's one man I know who can possibly unite the many kingdoms and nations of this Midworld. He's quite the way from here though." Sora said as he started walking down the path leading from the castle. "It's quite far from here though, we should pick up the pace if you get my drift." Sora then suddenly broke into a high speed sprint.

Cassandra listened as Sora spoke. In her time, Cassandra had found that sometimes it was better to just listen, and think, even if you didn't speak for a while. So she began to tackle the problem of gathering and uniting forces. As Sora picked up the pace, so did Cassandra, managing to stay close and match his pace. After a time, she said softly, "Even if we do manage to gather forces, we need to have the skills to maintain them, to maintain leadership, and inspire trust"

"That'll be left to a certain Hero King we're on our way to visiting. We'll take a Jump Gate, the Gates around here aren't linked directly to the region where we're going to we'll likely Portal to neighboring region." Sora said. He took a left on the road and sped up seeing as Cassie could match his speed without difficulty. It would be about 30 minutes of running at such a speed before they reached the Jump Gate. Sora held up his hand and a magic circle appeared before him. He tuned it to specific a destination and said "Okay here we go."

They hopped into the portal but noticed it changed color for a moment which means it just glitched and they were probably not going to wind up at their destination. They apparently we dumped in a snowy town that was all but destroyed. Sora said "This is a serious screw up, damn old ass Jump Gates." He looked around seeing no one. He turned to Cassie and said "I'm gonna have a look around." He sped off around the town searching for anything. Then he stopped when he saw them. He yelled "Cassie!"

Cassandra continued to follow, not at such at fast pace, but deliberately slightly slower, in order to keep a look at what was around them. To her, it seemed wise. She nodded and replied in ways that enabled Sora to know that she was listening, and contemplating what he said.

When be created the jump, she followed without hesitation, but when they landed in a snowy, empty town, she very nearly spoke up, to ask why they had ended up here, and what they were meant to do from here, but Sora said he was going to look around. She nodded, looking about herself,'taking a sip of water as she did so.

She looked over when he yelled, quickly making her way with a "coming!" She jogged, and had soon reached him"what is it?"

Sora gestured to the many swords planting into the ground. They were thick triangular and beared symbols on them. Sora couldn't help but this it's a graveyard the way the blade were placed into the ground. "Doesn't this look like a graveyard? But I detect no bodies around the swords. Weird." He told her.

Cassandra frowned. She walked around the swords, but not through them, circling where they were, not going to far. "It's almost as if they put the swords here to mark where the bodies were...hang on" she shrugged her pack off, and took out a sketch book, and her drawing utensils. She began to sketch the marks she could see, quite quickly, "we might be able to figure out why, if we have the marks" she said, looking up

She seemed to hesitate now, and said softly "should we get closer to them?"

"Maybe we should go, I feel bad violating this grave site." Sora said in all honesty backing away from the swords. He tried to distract himself from them by looking around but locked on to a strange energies hwe felt off to the west. He focused with his mind and saw the outline of giant beastly creatues. He tapped Cassie and said "We should go check that out." He could also make out two humanoid figures that seem like they're going to take on the monsters.

Cassandra stood up, slipping her things back into the pack. Maybe just having a few sketches would be enough to figure out what happened here. She didn't know, but it was worth a shot.

She looked whereSora said and nodded "alright. Let's go. But be careful. We don't know where we are, after all" she said, shrugging her pack back on

Sora nodded then dashed off using the part of his Absolute Speed that he can actually use to arrive their in seconds. He stood perched in a tree. To men in black uniforms with two swords each. These swords were giant and thick, they were clearly the same as those in the graveyard.

About a dozen or so monsters versus these two men. One of the monsters attacked with tentacles to try and skewer one of the men. But he was gone leaving some sort of afterimage, The othwr held one sword in his hand but the other remained in the sheath. He gripped the one in the sheath. Though to the monsters it would as if he didn't even draw the sword Sora saw the rapidly cut the tentacles to bits. The other showed himself by loping on of the giant monsters heads off at the neck. Finally Sora got board watching. He summoned his sword and leapt into the battle making lightwork of the monsters in one fell swoop without a drop of blood on him.

Cassandra sighed as Sora darted off, leaving her behind to try and catch up. She began to run, being careful of the swords placed in the graveyard, as well as being careful of any uneven terrain,, not wanting to fall and twist and ankle or something. She also dropped her pack, not wishing to take that into battle with her. She took two seconds to make sure it was safe, before proceeding.

"Having fun without me? Seriously? Oh well" She said to Sora, bringing forth her own sword. While she didn't have the highest level of skill with her blade, she was confident enough in her abilities to be able to help, without being a hindrance, but she sighed when it seemed all over..
