A steady alarm began to pull a young man with dark black from from his slumber. The covers were pulled tightly over him and strands of his blacks locks stuck out crazily all over his head. For some strange reason it had been hard to sleep the night before and when he finally found it, the sun was beginning to peak above the horizon and taunt him from the window. Now it was 9:01 and the alarm clock was still blaring in his ear. With a grumble, Cameron switched off the alarm with a little more force than necessary and sat up, running his fingers through his hair. Laying back down sounded wonderful. Maybe then he could continue the lovely dream he was having about meeting an angel and going for a flight. Who was he kidding? It was just as likely that an angel would float down from heaven and take him around as it was that he would lay his head back down on that beautiful looking pillow and go back to sleep.

About thirty minutes later, he was showered, dressed, and ready to go. His attire consisted of no more than cargo shorts, slides, and a semi loose tank top. This was how he dressed everyday, or any day that didn't require him to dress differently. If he showed up to a job interview like this, he could be certain he wouldn't get the job. Checking his phone as he walked into the elevator for his department building, he saw that it was 9:45. If Cameron stuck to his usual morning routine, he would leave the apartment at 9:50, head to the coffee shop a couple buildings down and pick up a coffee. Then he would proceed to leave the coffee shop at 10:10 and make it to his humanities class at 10:30 sharp. Cameron was always punctual and, thinking about it, times could be pretty boring. Nothing out of the ordinary happened aside from a pop quiz in class or the coffee shop running out of his favorite flavor from time to time. It didn't bother him but it didn't please him either.

Lily awoke to the sound of birds singing outside, her eyes fluttered open and she groaned slightly. Lily wasn't much of a morning person, but once she was awake, she was fine. Lily pulled her comforter off and swung her feet to the side of the bed, she decided she would go to the local coffee shop. She stood up and walked to her closet, she grabbed a red blouse and light blue skinny jeans. She went into her bathroom and put on the clothes she chose, then she proceeded to brush her hair and teeth, and do her makeup. Once she finished, she walked to her vanity and chose a yellow, white and purple yarn bracelet and a brown yarn necklace with a dark silver half-moon charm on it.

Once Lily was satisfied with her outfit, she tried to find her phone. She usually slept with her phone on her bed, but today she couldn't seem to find it. She looked under the mattress, in the blankets, in her closet, everywhere she could think of. After hours of searching, she finally found it. Plugged into the wall. Lily sighed and sat down on her bed. She looked at the words that were permanently on the inside of her wrist, <p><a href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2015_11/cooltext147960466072273.png.822343e97e6239756b346011054c7672.png" class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image"><img data-fileid="85038" src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2015_11/cooltext147960466072273.png.822343e97e6239756b346011054c7672.png" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt=""></a></p> , it read. Lily always wondered when she would meet her soulmate, and how she would respond. It all depended on the person, she was hoping she didn't get someone too. . . Bad? Lily stood up and walked to her car, she brought her laptop, her laptop charger, her phone, her phone charger and her wallet. She decided that she would figure out how to open the door with all her stuff in her hands later and started her drive to the shop.

KEVIN REID

Kevin woke up to the sound of a lawnmower going off in the neighbor's yard. He was quite irritated as he was having a good dream. He looked over at his alarm clock that was sitting on a dark coloured nightstand, it was currently 9:15 AM, however the alarm wasn't supposed to go off for another fifteen minutes. Kevin laid back down and stared at the ceiling for quite sometime. He wasn't deep in thought or anything of that nature, he just enjoyed the silence because it made him feel at ease. As some time went by, Kevin sat back up and noticed his phone was vibrating. He reached over and noticed he received multiple texts from a girl named "Lucy". Lucy was Kevin's girlfriend for a brief period of time, until he learned that she was seeing someone else behind his back. It's been over a month since that day and Kevin has slowly started to move on, even though Lucy has been trying numerous times to force her way back into his life. Kevin didn't hesitate, he deleted the messages and set his phone to sleep mode. It was over, he was finally starting to move on and that came as a relief to him.

Kevin sat back up on his bed and reached over for his alarm clock to turn it off. He took a quick shower and began to brush his teeth. As he was getting ready, he began looking over his textbook to revise a few things before the upcoming test. Normally, Kevin didn't bother with studying and slacked off all the way through high school. His grades weren't anything to be ashamed of, but they weren't anything to be proud of either. But lately, he's been taking it more seriously due to the fact that he was on his college's hockey team. If he wants to continue playing, he has to make sure his grades don't slip. Kevin put on a white shirt, followed by a pair of blue jeans. He made sure he got everything with him, his phone, his wallet, including his college ID, and of course his bus pass. Before finally making his way out of the house. The weather was nice and calm, it was already starting to feel like a good day. Kevin noticed he had some time to kill before the exam, so he decided to make a quick stop at the coffee shop. After all, he knew he would need it, if he was going to put that brain of his to work.

The walk didn't take long and it gave Cameron a chance to enjoy the nice weather. The sun was shining brightly but not enough to burn and there was a cool refreshing breeze that blew past, ruffling his curly black locks. Sometimes he wished he had a car and sometimes he enjoyed walking around this. He did have a small sports motorcycle, one he purchased at a steal price a couple years back but it really wasn't practical. Still, he loved riding on the thing. It felt very free, contrary to his normal lifestyle, and it exhilarated him. Sometimes he would drive around just for the hell of it. As he walked, he kept his head tilted downward. This is the way he usually walked, not because he was necessarily closed off or timid but because he was never the best at interaction. He wasn't charismatic or charming, but he could treat someone very gently and say kind things to him. Often times he found this better than being popular.

He entered the small, quaint coffee shop a couple minutes after he had predicted. The cute little chime sounded above his head and echoed around the shop. The employees gave Cameron welcoming smiles and he returned them. As he approached the counter, he saw they were already busy preparing his favorite drink. After all, he came in her just every day or more and ordered the same thing. They were kind to him and he was to them. The coffee shop was probably one of his favorite places to hang out besides his apartment. He paid for his coffee, wished them a good day, and began to head towards the door.

Lily pulled into the cafe parking lot and parked her car in a space as close to the front as she could get. She sat in the car for a few minutes, trying to figure out how the hell she could possibly get everything into the shop without her dropping at least one item. Lily sighed and unbuckled herself, she took the keys out of the ignition and put her wallet and phone in her pocket. She then stepped out of the car and walked to the back seat doors, she opened them and took out her laptop, laptop charger and phone charger. She held the laptop on bottom and the two chargers on top. Struggling to keep the chargers from slipping off the computer, she walked to the front door, only to find out that there was no possible way she could open the door by herself, for the doors were not automatic.
