So, I draw constantly. Meaning most of my characters get a nice character portrait at some point, or at the very least a digital sketch. Here are some of my favorites!




As you can see, I love historical fashion, and that love bleeds into my artwork as well as my storytelling! The first character is Daphne, the second is Josephine, then Celestine, then El, then another Celestine look. Feel free to ask me for more details about any of them.

I love the colors and the overall style, the minute I saw these, the Hamilton soundtrack popped into my head.

Recently, I've been using my costume design thread more than this one, but after the feature in the news letter, maybe I should change that. Anyway, have a character portrait!! Her Royal Majesty, Mabynn the Queen Dowager of Lyss, as appears in Rusty of Shackleford 's rp, War of Dragons.

So, in my D&D game last night, we rescued a pair of 10 year old Dragonborn twins from being sold at auction. And instantly, my character (the lady) and my friend’s character went into instinctive coparenting mode. It really helps that both characters have massive crushes on the other.

It is... Incredibly shippable. This is a Victorian inspired campaign and Celestine is a sheltered noble girl who became a warlock on complete accident. Asthir is an incredibly charming sorcerer who grew up on the streets and is the ringleader of a circus that’s also an illegal organization smuggling magic users out of the very anti-magic society that Celestine grew up in. He’s helping her flee the country, since y’know— realizing your a warlock like two weeks before your marriage to a very old and boring but very wealthy human business man is........ not the best look for a noble lady.

A bit more of my girl, Celestine, this time pictured with her mother. Lady (Saint) Josephine.

Josephine died when Celestine was a teenager, and was quickly made a saint of the state religion that Celestine grew up in. She was an activist, philanthropist, and volunteer combat nurse during the big war that really defined the societies that our campaign is set in.

In order to make sure it happens in campaign, I made a solemn vow to the player behind Asthir that I would not draw Celestine and Asthir kissing until it happens in campaign. However, I can and will get tantalizingly close.


I will go down with this ship.

Celestine appeared at the top of the stairwell in her ball dress. Surprisingly, it was one of the simpler dresses the girl had brought with her— with almost no ornamentation of any sort. Deceptively plain though it may be, there was a certain air of opulence to it. The pale silk seemed to shine, even in the mundane light of the inn, and the fit, the craftsmanship, the construction of the garment, were all technically perfect. This was a dress that had been made with utmost care and attention to detail. It was the sort of dress that was made to be as fashionable as possible for as long as possible, with the simple knowledge that a flattering cut, perfect fit, and high quality fabric and craft would never go out of style. Paired with glittering sapphires and pearls around Celestine’s throat and dangling from her ears, she looked like something out of a fairytale. Slowly, gracefully, the girl descended the staircase, reaching out one gloved hand towards Asthir.

They're very tender and wholesome with each other in sessions, and I know the other player is as committed to this ship as I am. So, it's hopefully inevitable.
