Pin Prick House is a strange label to most, given it's ever changing and in-your-face aesthetics and displays. Their guerilla fashion shoes/rock concerts, along with political displays gives the brand a hard edge that many other fashion houses don't have. Started and owned by the infamous Madame Georgiette, Pin Prick House is more than just a brand - it's a lifestyle. Literally. All employees, designers, models, etc., even Madame Georgie herself, are Mutants.
In 2345, a long distant future much like the aesthetics of the Late 20th Century, humans have evolved to manifest abilities much like super powers. It started small, with some interesting mutations appearing around the 2100s. Being able to walk on walls, hearing peoples thoughts, photographic memories. These people were written off as head cases, for the most part, with many of these people not being believed or put in psychiatric hospitals. The stigma around these mutations started in their infancy, and it only worsened with each generations. Mutants make up only a small number of the population, around 10 to 15%, though a concrete number is yet to be found due to many governments' lack of recognition of the species. When stronger mutations began to develop, like Telekinesis or Weather Manipulation, Mutants began being arrested for their powers, especially because they would manifest in inappropriate times, often violently. Instead of helping these young teenagers, atypical adults scrutinized them, sometimes going so far to hunt them down for sport. Since the mid-2200s, the state for Mutants has not changed much, though as the 2320s dawns, more is being done to make the truth unavoidable.
That is what brings us to Madame Georgie and her Merry Band of Mutants, as they're affectionately called. Starting out as a seamstress, Madame Georgiette has since grown into a very powerful Mutant, offering a safe space for her fellow man, along with bringing to the forefront issues that have long since been ignored. Pin Prick House is racing to the top, polluting the public consciousness with refreshing designs and the truth about their kind.
This roleplay will follow a select few of MG's little helpers as they navigate the tough-as-nails world of fashion and the harsh reality of the world around them. Beyond producing content for Pin Prick House, these characters will have to learn to manage their powers or use them for the protection of their kind, which will see increased targeting as Pin Prick House becomes more and more vocal and popular.

Pin Prick House is known for their unique designs and the campy quality to their works. For the past four years, they have supplied the trendsetting themes for the season. They are the blueprint, quite literally. As a model, your responsibility is to represent the brand well, getting to wear some of the most future-minded designs on the planet. As a designer, you get to express oneself as freely as possible. When designing a new collection, creativity is the most important for Pin Prick. That's why, ever since the inception of the brand, Madame Georgiette has had every designer propose a collection theme, picked the best, and then had designers use the theme for inspiration. While MG designs her own ensembles for the collection, often adding the little details to the collection that set it over the top, the brand is still known for its inclusivity. Its model breeds creativity.

Taking major inspiration from the X-Men, the Mutants of this RP is based on a similar lore from the franchise. Mutations are genetic, manifesting around puberty. Think of Madame Georgiette as our Professor X. You can only develop one discernible type of mutation, though they don't have to necessarily be from a list or even have a technical title (i.e. Telekinesis).

1990s x 2320s
The roleplay takes place during 2321, starting in January. The future is stylized much like 90s cyberpunk, in terms of fashion and the design of products. Overall, the future has a late 80s to late 90s aesthetic. As for technology, most screens are holographic, and most diseases have been eradicated and all that jazz. People still die from the new ones that crop up, but you're hard pressed to hear about the mumps or mono getting anyone sick these days. Additionally, cyborgs exist in this world.
Cities are multi-leveled, much like the look of the city scapes of Blade Runner and Blade Runner 2049. In fact, Blade Runner 2049 is a huge inspiration for the type of future we are looking at here, though less dark. However, interior design looks very much like the 1960s interior designs, though perhaps with less wood and much cleaner designs and space-age technology.
