Reincarnation and Long Lives
We always hear about this idea of “soul mates” and how they reincarnate to be with each other. What about a twist on that – two people that hate each other, being reincarnated with each other, every, single, time.
How long can their spite and hatred last?
Or perhaps even the idea of the “soul mates” falling out of love, or one of them falling out of love? They’ve gotten to know this person, they’ve built their life around this person, but a chance meeting with a stranger allows them to discover…options. That they can be someone else, and move on, and start a new life, without their “soul mate”.
I’m also up for using long-lived creatures, and telling stories over time, like vampires who meet up periodically during a variety of time periods, and playing out those shenanigans. What I’m looking for, in sum, are stories that transcend many periods of time.
So, a bit more details are below, including my rules!
Rules:
1. Don't God-Mod. In other words, don't make my character speak, don't make my character, don't make my character take damage, and don't control my character. If you want something to go a certain way for plot purposes, just PM me and ask. Usually, I accept "god-modding" during travel and the like. It is usually acceptable to assume movement if a character is already committed to the journey.
2. Please be able to play both genders, and play multiple roles. Your main character(s) may be just male or just female, but I expect all the side characters and NPCs to have life and flavor, too.
3. On the note of characters: I will always play one female character. So, be aware of that. With that said, I usually also always play one male character, and I do MxM, MxF, and FxF pairings, though I prefer MxF.
4. I only RP on threads, so no PM rps with me. So that I know you’ve read the rules this far, please tell me about your favorite food!
5. Please be able to write more than a couple of sentences as responses to me. I have tried to do “simple” RPs, but I end up not feeling motivated to respond or continue the RP. I will need you to be able to write a paragraph or two, each post, at least.
6. PM if you are interested. The only reason for you not to PM me is if you cannot do so due to the fact you haven't reached 24 hours/10 posts.
Guidelines:
1. I do not like to be hassled for posts. Especially if I have already posted that day or the day before. Do not bother me for posts until at least two days have passed. Otherwise, I will start to resent our RP and lose interest in it.
2. I enjoy OOC talk, however I will not respond to "hi" or "-poke-" or equivalents. Have substance to the chatter, even if it just asking "How are you?".
3. Do not bump our thread if I have not posted. I will not post out of spite. I have a problem with this, I acknowledge it, I'm not fixing it.
4. On that matter, please keep OOC to PMs and not on our IC thread. IC is for posting. If you have a question, concern, or comment, just shoot me a PM.
5. In general, I do not enjoy immediate romances or "slice-of-life" RPs, so do not come to me expecting I'll do either. I may make rare exceptions.

"Hate Mates"
Reincarnation. Hatred Rules All. Historical figures, "OC" figures, Earth or Fantasy world.
They hated each other from the start. Perhaps they were once friends, and one betrayed the other. Perhaps there was a love involved. Whatever the case, they hate each other. And now, they can’t escape each other. They are their own personal hell, following each other through their lives as they are reborn. Sometimes, perhaps, one or the other remembers. Sometimes, they both remember. Perhaps other times, neither remembers – they just have this “bad feeling” about the other.
Whatever the case, they are always reincarnating in the same life time, and always meeting.
Can they stop this cycle of reincarnation? Can they learn not to hate each other, or will this powerful emotion keep driving them to follow each other, and ruin their lives?
I’d love to do this with historical figures (especially Romans), like Markus Antonius and Gaius Octavius, Cicero and Catalina, Pompey and Caesar, but I am open to others as well, or even just using totally OC souls and building up the start of the hatred that would then take them through many other lives.
I’d also enjoy them reincarnating in different genders. Perhaps their first life was a male, and so was their second, but then their third is female, and so on, perhaps with a couple of traits always sticking (like for Octavius, I could see asthma sticking around). I would also enjoy them periodically remembering their former lives, and then not remembering them, and not always have both remember – just to add to the problems. I’d like to take it up to modern times at least, and build on an “overarching” plot – I’m just not sure what that would be. We’d have to discuss it.
This could also take place in a fantasy setting, with a curse in play or something – a villain and a hero follow each other through lives or something, haha.

Broken Red String
Lovers. New opportunities. Falling out of love. Historical figures, "OC" figures, Earth or Fantasy world.
Based on the idea that people fall out of love – what if soul mates who kept reincarnating to be with each other, fell out of love? One, or both of them, could have had a chance meeting with someone else that showed them that, perhaps, there is another life, another choice, that they could lead. I think this would work best if both of the soul mates had some “idea” that they were destined for someone/something, but then are presented with a second option.
I’m fine with this being historical figures as well, OCs, or in a fantasy setting (not Earth), but I think it would be an interesting concept to play with – especially if one was still madly in love with the other, or something like that.
This can be combined with “Hate Mates”, too, since we can make this a huge reincarnation issue for a larger plot, or it can be on its own.

Once And Again
Long Lived Creatures. Small World. Rivals, Hatred, Lovers - through many times. Earth or Fantasy Worlds.
I really kind of just want to do some stories throughout time with the same character(s). What’s the best way to do that? Involve some long-lived creatures, like vampires or demons, or what-have-you, and put them in the same places periodically, and follow their shenanigans. I don’t have a set plot for this, and we can add new characters to the plot as well – could even have one of them be reincarnated and that be how they all come together at different points in time (“Oh hey, so-and-so is back, in Florence, let’s go kick it with them for a bit”).
Obviously we’ll need a larger plot to foreshadow to, but playing through time with long-lived creatures, developing hate, love, and rivalry across the span of time, sounds like a good time to me.
