to any man
to any time
to any god or devil - aboutthanks so much for stopping in to check out my search thread. i'm glad this caught your eye - i hope this is interesting enough to keep you here for a little while longer.
feel free to call me sav. i use she/her/hers pronouns and i’m twenty one years old. i’m a recent college grad and i’ll be a phd student this coming fall. i’m currently in eastern standard time (utc-5:00).
i’m excited to fall back into a semi-regular creative writing schedule again! i had to unfortunately take a bit of a hiatus due to a really busy last semester, but now it’s over and i’ll be transitioning into a more regular 9 to 5 schedule. i missed my favorite hobby! and this is basically the only thing keeping me literate at this point
i have a lot of wild stories that i like to share with friends. i have horrible taste in television and in men. i’m a real-life manic pixie dream girl. i’m a lazy jock, a nerd stoner, and a book smart bimbo. i’m cool and hot and am basically perfect, but most importantly, i’m very humble. (/s)
i'm looking for a small handful of compatible long-term partners! if any of this is interesting to you, please send me a private message.
- general expectations
agei’m a hot dumpster fire of an adult with a foul mouth and a penchant for more mature plots and scenarios. i don’t want to engage with kids/minors for responsibility’s sake. (i give strangers the benefit of the doubt, but i would really appreciate your honesty.)
writingi consider myself advanced/literate, but i’ve also been trying to say less than more (that's what the real good writers are able to do). my word count is on the longer end, but varies depending on the context. starters can be 1k+, longer scenes 500-800, high dialogue or action around 300-400. i’m not unreasonable, but make sure you can hang with me - you're the best judge of your own talents!
activityregarding activity, i don’t respond well to unrealistic high expectations and demands for something i consider a creative release. i’ll generally take between a week or two to reply - i'll be working two jobs and i have my own life, chores, outside obligations, and health to manage. (it often won't take me that long, but i also don't want to promise what i can't deliver.)
diversity & inclusioni hate cliches. i hate forced romances and completely white/cishet plots and pairings. i want diversity in every aspect of the word: sexual orientation, gender identity, ethnic background, nationality, socioeconomic background, physical abilities, etc.
related to the above - leave your bigotry and tendency to make stereotypes at the door. knowledge is power; rely on good research to make a character with identities that aren’t yours, not on popular tropes.
(it is so incredibly disappointing that several individuals and instances on this site have forced me to be so up front about what i think are very basic expectations.)
out of characterbe my friend? i’ll bounce so many thoughts and ideas off you in my free time if i’m really rolling with an idea. only helps make me more comfortable with reaching out (and incentivize me to reply) if i like you. just sayin.
- a short disclaimeryes, these are intentionally kind of vague - it's meant to inspire discussion and brainstorming between the two of us. these aren't static. i'm very open to multiple interpretations, different spins, and suggestions.
cold julya classic, twisted case of wrong place, wrong time. two teens find themselves the victims of profiling in the aftermath of a horrific murder within their community. the only way out is through: they have a major crime to solve if they want to clear their names, and the clock is ticking.
status: open
themes: southern gothic, crime, socioeconomic status, police corruption
dead ringerthey say it takes one to know one. two people who are seemingly above it all, textbook hedonists with no intent of changing, cross paths for the first time as they finish rehab. how can one make up for years of selfishness and deceit - how do you apologize? where do you start?
status: open
themes: mental health/substance abuse, trauma, difficult healing, self-realization
rare heartsit’s never been easy to be a creative soul in the unforgiving landscape of new york city. it gets even more complicated when you’re young, broke, queer, alone, and the year is 1982; a new mysterious, remarkably patient, invisible, and lethal enemy is beginning to wreak havoc.
status: open
themes: found family, societal/medical invisibility, historical/based on true events
outer darkthe ill-timed and unexpected death of a family patriarch demands that his straight-laced, well-behaved children rise to the occasion. everyone is surprised by how quickly they fall from grace as a result; desperate times call for desperate measures, after all.
status: open
themes: organized crime, historical (either nineteenth century western or twentieth century urban), family loyalty
heavy eyesyou’ve been sent to an atypical rehabilitation center on a remote, idyllic farm away from modern life’s stressors. something is wrong. the dog is dead—no, was killed. you wake up with muddy boots on. just when you think you're losing it, another patient shares their equally unsettling experiences with you. it warrants investigation.
status: closed
themes: psychological horror, unreliable narration, trauma, healing
