Double Luck
So, several years ago I had an rp idea that I think was inspired by a Manifest plotline. I never got the chance to rp it in full and it has come back to me with a desperate desire to find someone to rp this story with me. Here's the general outline:
Character A and B were together (maybe engaged, maybe married, maybe just dating but very in love) when A got into some sort of accident and fell into a coma. The doctors said that they would never wake up, but A's parents insisted on not withdrawing life support, hoping for a miracle. That happened years ago at this point, and B eventually realized they had to give themself a chance to move on and be happy instead of constantly grieving and waiting for A. So they never really stopped loving A but they found someone new (Character C) that they are also very much in love with and maybe married. Now a miracle has actually happened and A woke up with no real sense of all the time they've missed to find that the world and the love of their life have moved on without them.
So the rp will be kind of an exploration of what happens to their relationship. Do they get together again? If so, what does that mean for B&C? Do the three of them explore a poly relationship? Or does B have to choose, and what does that mean for them if they do? If B doesn't want a relationship with A anymore, presumably B doesn't want totally abandon A all the same, so what does their new relationship look like? There's also the possibility of A&B having a kid together and seeing how the kid responds as well. Do they get mad at their parent B for moving on? Do they get mad at their parent A for waking up and disrupting their life? Are they just happy A's awake? Which relationship do they route for and what trouble do they make to try and push their parents in that direction?
This could be a realistic/modern drama/romance. Or we could put it in a fandom - it could easily fit into a different world. I had originally envisioned it as a Wolfstar (Harry Potter) rp but I am happy with any setting or characters. Though I would ask that at least one of the relationships not be mxf. I imagine that one or both of us will need to take two characters since there are three main characters, maybe a fourth if we decide on a kid. I
PS I tried to leave the plot pretty vague but I'm also very open to making modifications.
Some information about me:
I go by Martzi or Gertrude and use they/them pronouns. I'm in my mid-twenties and I've been rping for about 15 years. I'm in EST.
I write in 3rd person past tense, and I generally post about 2-6 paragraphs a post, maybe 150-500 words. I think for this rp I'd ask that you be able to fall in that range as well, as I like to mirror how much my partner gives me and I'm enjoying pushing myself to write at least a couple paragraphs but don't think I'd enjoy pushing myself past 6 paragraphs for every post. I'm generally on quite a lot and much of the time will post many times a day or even an hour. There will be times I can't do that but I'll pop on at least every few days if I can't post to let you know what's going on with me. I'm enjoying rping on Discord right now. But I'm also open to other venues for our rp such as dms, a private forum, or maybe a thread on here (I'm a little hesitant but I might be open to it).
I love open communication and ooc chatter. I love plotting and talking about our characters, and value building a friendship. And I really appreciate constructive criticism and being called out when needed. In terms of boundaries, I don't have many at the moment but will let you know if things come up. Please tell me what your boundaries are as well and I will be sure to respect them.
