A note on submission authoring

The Most Electrifying Man in Sports Entertainment
When you are wiriting submissions, please capitalize proper names and game terms (such as "Martial Arts", "Charm", "Willpower", "Lunar", "First Age") as appropriate. Look to the way the books do it if you're unsure.

I spend more time capitalizing entries than anything else in the approval process, and it can be rather time-consuming and annoying on long submissions.

Thanks.

Actually, the more I think about it, the more it might be useful for Lore5 to have a "Help" page, editable by moderators, where we can post a brief run-down of the Lore5 functionality, as well as a set of submission guidelines.

If you write it, I'll link it.

Speaking of Submissions.

Right now there a whole subforum for Character submissions. Why not collect all Submissions in there instead?

Uh.  Character submissions have been on my TODO list for a long long time.  They're just going to be a pain in the ass, because there's so many fields to work with.

I know (that it's on your todo) :) . That's not what I was talking about. Right now there's a whole forum dedicated to character submissions, while there is a thread simply stating when new submissions have come, and I guess there's a couple of threads dedicated to submissions around here as well.

Why not just either put all those threads in the Character Submissions forum, or remove the Character Submissions forum and make it a stickied thread somewhere else (Redux Project Board I guess).

Having them in one place if all submissions are placed there; Removing an unnecessary forum otherwise.

Here's what I have planned for part of it. It's based largely on the old forum-based submission guidelines, with a few edits. I will write another segment on basic Lore5 usage and ratings shortly.

Submission Guidelines & Procedures

Note: Lore5 does not yet support Character submissions. While this is in development, characters should be posted to the forum.

When an item is first submitted, it is not publicly viewable, pending approval by a moderator. If it is found to be acceptable, it will be marked as “Approvedâ€

Okay.  Put that into a file called something like "general.tpl" under ~lore5/templates/help.
