He found me last week.. That brute that... I have to uproot my life AGAIN to get away from him... My aunt Jannette offered me to live with her in America and I accepted but only because I can't uproot my parents lives over a problem that has nothing to do with them. They want to understand why I have to go but they don't know the full story and I don't want them to. The things that monster did to me and threatened to do them, especially my sister Allie, if anyone found out has me as worried as it does pissed off. I have to protect them even if they don't fully understand WHY things are as bad as they are. I can only hope that he doesn't find me again...
Goodbye Canada, hello America here I come....

So the whole idea behind this lies in a sort of domestic situation where the main character, my oc, has to leave her home in Canada to escape an ex whose has no understanding of the word 'no'. Being new to the US at the time of the start of the rp, Melody is going to be starting college with no friends or acquaintances to her name or credit. She's not quite mensa material but she is a smart young woman who tries to be sociable but can't seem to click with most people and hopes college can remedy that.
Hopes and expectations:
*Please for the love of all things holy give me something to post to! I don't care if you can't write novel length responses but at the very least PLEASE give me a paragraph
*I'm sure that it doesn't need to be said but don't pester for responses. We all have things going on in our off-computer lives
*I would like multiple posts a week but if you can't do that for reason x y or z, please give me the courtesy of a message saying 'hey, I got stuff going on so I won't be as active'. I am a reasonable person, show me that respect and you'll get it right back from me
*I'd REALLY like the other character in this to be female to explore the closeted sexuality of Melody but if you make a male character I can make it work
*Be understanding that I may or may not be using anime images to represent different various things throughout the rp be it different looks, location images if the rp jumps from one place to another for story images etc. Just because I do does not mean you must.
All that said, feel free to message me if you want to take a stab at this. I really miss rping since my last site shut down their forums and writing fanfiction is no replacement.
