Diane Gregory

Female

She is proper when she has to be, a princess needs to know the difference between formal and family. She does what she is told but on certain occasions likes to sneak away. Either to the gardens or the village. Diane is kind to all but may accidentally offend what she doesn't mean too.

Jepitha Walters

22

Male

Jepitha tends to be serious at times. He will do anything the king or queen tells him to do. Whenever he's not doing something for them he's training. Either it's sword and shield, Judo, or Karate.

Jepitha was awake watching the sun rise on the balcony to his room. Today was the day that he was gonna meet his 'wife.' Then tomorrow was his wedding day. The wedding day that he wasn't expecting. He wasn't expecting to marry the princess of the enemy kingdom. But he will do whatever the king and queen ask him. That's life that he's been living for six years. And he ain't planing on ending now. For all he know the princess could be a ugly old hag. Or the most beautiful maiden in all of the land. But either way he'll marry her. Since it's for the good of his home.

A simple guard walked onto the balcony and spoke. "Sir knight. Your things are ready." Jepitha nodded. "My hound?" The guard nodded. "Your friend is in the carriage waiting." Jepitha smiled. "Good. Can't go anywhere without him." They both headed down to the front of the castle.

Diane sat at her vanity brushing through her hair. Her kalico cat laying on the velvet pillow grooming herself as well. Very literally she would meet her knight in shining armor today to end a 4 year war between kingdoms. Sending his youngest daughter off to marry a stranger was the last thing the king wanted to do but it was a last resort. In one corner of her room was her wedding dress sitting neatly on a mannequin. It was costumized just for the wedding, as well as the dress she wore now, made only for their meeting. All she knew was that he was a knight, he's probably killed many men. Her image of him was a cold silhouette, she didn't think there would be any emotion in a man who's stared death in the face. A sigh escaped her lips as a maid knocked on her door, that was her signal to go the great hall where she will meet her date. The princess out her brush down and stood up slowly walking to the door, her precious cat following after as they made their way to the great hall. @Robin man

Jepitha got in his carriage and there was his trusty friend Tyrone. Tyrone was a wolf that Jepitha found when he was a puppy ten years ago. With lot's training he became his loyal hound. They've been a few battles together. They both saved each others life's several times. Jepitha scratched behind his ears. Tyrone wagged his tail. Jepitha smiled and chuckled. The carriage finally stopped and and the carriage driver opened the door. Jepitha walked out and Tyrone followed him. Jepitha's heart was pounding.

Diane stood tall in the middle of the hall with her father and mother by her side. All of her other siblings were older and already married off ruling kingdoms of her own. Prim, her cat, sat tall by her feet her tail swishing from side to side. Diane held her hands tightly around a small trinket her grandmother gave her for luck and the grip only tightened when she heard the horns blare signaling his arrival. Her eyes were locked on the door, her body stiff to try and hide her anxiousness.

Jepitha and Tyrone slowly walked up the marble steps of the castle entrance. Some servants opened the large doors. Jepitha entered with Tyrone right behind him. He walked up and saw the family. He stopped when he was a few feet away. Jepitha stood straight and Tyrone sat straight up then growled when he saw the cat. Jepitha cleared his throat and he stopped. He nodded. "My lord." He kneeled. "The names Jepitha Walters. The knight that my king told you about."

Prim quickly scampered to hide behind Diane's dress. Her father gave the knight a smile and nodded giving him the ok to stand up "yes I know, why else would you be here" he folded his hands behind his back "Jepitha, I would like to introduce you to my daughter Diane Gregory" he motioned to the princess standing beside him and watched as she politely curtsied "we are all anticipating the events of tomorrow, it will be a day of unity and peace"

Jepitha stood up nodded. "I agree. Tomorrow will be a good day." He walked up to Diane and held her hand and kneeled. He kissed it. "My lady." He was relieved that his wife was beautiful. He stood up and backed up a few feet.

"Sir jepitha"'Diane replied with a soft voice "it is an honor to meet you" she added knowing that she was supposed to say that. When he let go she drew her hand back and took hold again of the trinket holding it tightly in her hands. Her father smiled at the two, though he didn't have much choice in who his daughter married the two seemed already get along, even if it was just greetings. "Well tomorrow is a big day and maybe a walk in the garden is appropriate for you two to become aquatinted more, I have made arrangements for you to rule over the kingdom of the summer isles, Diane's eldest brother will meet you there and stay for a while to make sure you have everything under control. It will be known as the kingdom of unity" he nodded and turned leaving his daughter and the knight to themselves

Jepitha nodded as the king spoke. That's a lot to take in at once. Becoming a servant of totality. And now he's considered royalty. He doesn't know much besides what he's picked from the king and queen. But Jephthah is still nervous. "Shall we go to the garden my lady?"

Diane watched as her father left wishing he would stay, but with a sigh she turned back to jepitha and nodded "us, ofcourse, it's this way" she motioned to the two glass doors at the top of the steps behind them streaming light in through their windows. Now her fate seemed to be closer and she was questioning if she accepted it or not. As they headed up the stairs and butler opened the doors for them and they walked out onto a marble terrace. In the garden was a large rose bush labyrinth and smaller little plots of flowers or trees.

Jepitha followed Diane to the garden. Tyrone was right behind him. At least he has his best friend while he goes through this. That made him slightly better. He spoke up. "Beautiful garden my lady."

Diane looked around with a small smile of pride "my great grandmother started it the night she was married. We've been growing and adding to it since" she nodded and walked down the stairs to get the actual garden part and looked briefly at the animal by his feet "so you have a dog?"

Jepitha followed her down to the garden. He scratched Tyrone behind the and shook his head. "No Tyrone is a wolf actually. Found him when he was a pup."
@JJennibee

Diane hesitated a little bit but kept walking "a wolf... How.. Nice" she said a little wary. A wild animal was always a wild animal, and wolves were dangerous. "Just curious I guess.. But what were you told when you came here?"'she looked at him

Jepitha thought about it for a moment. "Well they told me about the marriage. And the possibility of me ruling some land. That's about it."

Diane sighed "of course they would mention land, and ruling your own kingdom, who would say no to that" she muttered the last part and looked back forward "i know this marriage Is a part of our duties, but... I don't know, I could be a fool for saying this"

Diane stopped when she found he wasn't walking beside her anymore. She turned to look at him with a hit of confusion "and what is that?"

Diane blushed a little and looked down, though she didn't smile "so.. Then you're just like the others" she nodded and turned back down the path continuing their walk
