A negative thing

Sometimes when I am in rp i would like a tool that says like, Needs work, or ,not enough detail, but as a button like Fun rp post, or Great scenery.


Just a thought but having those would make it much easier to give help during rp without tagging them in the OOC section

I can see why you would suggest something like this, however, sometimes features like that can create dissonance in groups. For now, if you're looking for advice on your writing and roleplaying styles, you should post in the Workshop forum.

As I mentioned earlier, if you're looking for criticism on your work, you can always post your concerns in the Workshop forum.


With the way the like system on RpNation is built, it can include "negative" ratings, although I am not entirely sure how customizable the different icons are and whether it would be something that the administration would support.

Using a button to give a critique is a really poor way of giving feedback to someone who probably worked really hard on something. If you want to give feedback, that's great, but it should be mindful, thought out, and polite not a generic "needs work" like.


It's very condescending and as Musician said earlier, not very helpful. A critique should explain where the issues are so the user can make changes they see fit. A generic button wouldn't give them any advice on what's wrong or how to fix it. Lastly, people would try and abuse it just for the sake of making another feel or look bad. Ergo, something like this will never be implemented. .

True, true. Thanks for the imput. Never thought of the negative ways it would be used.
