Fantasy A Nation In Havoc OOC (2.0)

Plot twist. George wakes up and it was all a dream. He puts on his crown and walks to his balcony where everyone in Dalania cheers him. And he lives happily ever after.

Bigger plot twist, not as satisfying: Kruziik is making his epic final speech before he lays the heroes to waste only to trip on a rock and break his neck by accident. Oops.

All suggestions are welcome, from the mundane to the game changing. This is your world to play in as well, feel free to help build it.

Im available throughout most days and most of the night, because I have too much free time and my sleep schedule is fucked. Perfect lifestyle for world building. ....as far as I know.

Not to interrupt our worship of the Dark Lord Cthullu, but when all this bandit stuff is through and this never-ending RP day finally ends, are we still intending to split the group up like before, or are we thinking it's better to have everyone stick together instead? Because if we're still splitting up, I have a proposal.

I say we send one group West to Askary, for the purpose of getting military help from their government to take back Dalania from the Cult army, and another South to Fenwood, to find a way to counter Kruziik's magic.

I suggest that Team Askary consist of Nia, Jenny, Ambrose, Samuel, and Armandio.

-Nia makes sense on the Askary route because she's the only character in the party with experience in politics (unless you count Armandio sleeping with the president's daughter), so sending her to negotiate with a governing body for military aid seems to fit.

-I doubt Jenny would leave Nia's side since, from her perspective, the princess is her cash cow; she has no reason to follow the rest of the group if her goal is just to get on the crown's good side. Besides that, there are likely more opportunities to show off her goods to important people in a city like Askary than a small series of rustic elven villages like in Fenwood.

-Ambrose wants to set up his criminal enterprise once more in a city that's friendly to underhanded enterprises. No place better than Askary for that. Aside from that, having Ambrose on this team and Esen on the other would give Augmentedspartan the opportunity to contribute to both story arcs.

-Armandio may not want to go to Askary for personal reasons; however, his grandfather explicitly told him to go to Calcia for answers about how to deal with Kruziik, and to get there he'd have to go West through Askary. Further, he may be compelled to go to Askary even if he doesn't want to just because he doesn't want to leave the princess's side, being her royal guard and all. Lastly, Askary is a city full of duplicitous characters, as I understand it, and I feel a setting like that is more Armandio's element than a forest of isolated elven settlements.

-Samuel could probably fit in either route, but he admittedly gives me more of an Askary vibe than a Fenwood vibe. Plus, his inclusion on this side would give each team an even five characters.

Team Fenwood would be Gavin, Decius, and Raimi to start and then eventually Esen and Lillian would join as well.

-Gavin is a mage and, I suspect, a method of info dumping lore about the world when necessary. I think the magic-y, possibly more world lore intensive area of Fenwood would make more sense for a character like that. Besides that, as with Ambrose and Esen, it would be good for TCW to have one character in each party so he can contribute to both story arcs.

-Decius is another character who could fit in either route. He might have contacts in Askary from his military days that could help Nia secure a political alliance on that side; however, he's at a point right now where he likely suspects that he's not acting as he usually does and his axe is somehow the cause of it. He might want to go to Fenwood, an area with likely a lot of historical knowledge about enchanted objects, just to figure out what his axe is doing to him and what he could possibly do about it. Of course, he might want to go to Calcia for the same reason, which would put him on the other team. Again, he can probably go either way.

-There's nothing for Raimi in Askary or Calcia, and they're in a completely different direction from her family's farm, which is her top priority at the moment. She wants to go South toward Fenwood. Ordinarily, she would leave the party once she got to her farm, before they even got to Fenwood, but I'll come up with a reason for her to stick with them for the long haul.

-We'll have to engineer how the Esen and Lillian team end up colliding with Decius, Raimi, and Gavin.

So this is what I suggest for what happens next. Objections and alternative suggestions are appreciated.

Thoughts?
