So recently I've been working off site on a dog show sim and one of the things that has taken up a lot of my time is building an OC to show my dogs.
We're talkin' at least two to three hours a day workin' on the backstory and researching different aspects of pet care and even farming.
And the people on the site have recently been givin' me hell for it. Since it's not an especially worldbuildy or roleplay heavy kind of game.
But what can I say I like my research.
So I was thinkin' have you ever been in a situation where you've done just a little too much. Gone above and beyond for a roleplay without any real pay off other than you just liked whatever you were doing.
This can be makin' elaborate backstories for minor characters , researching real life equivalents to minor world building elements , coming up with fancy and intricate BBC code just because.
I'd be really interested to here any feedback.
Us over-achievers gotta holla at each other.
