Hi there!

I'm Em, millennial filth long-time RPer looking to snag (consensually, of course) another partner or two. Not looking to replace any current partners, and if we've played together before and I lost bandwidth, feel free to message me!

The bullets below apply to me and are also what I'm looking for in a writing buddy.

  • 21+
  • OOC friendly (I won't hit you up all day to chat, but I like to get to know my writing partners outside of the RP)
  • Lazy lit-advanced (third person past tense, 3 paragraph post average-- ability to do more/less depending on scene)
  • LGBTQ+ friendly (open to any pairings)
  • Moderately active (I can usually post once a day, and while I don't expect this from my partner, 2-3 posts a week would be great)
  • Willingness to plot, world-build, etc.
  • Willingness to double/play supporting characters (doubling isn't always necessary, but I'd love for someone to be able to throw in some NPC types to keep things interesting)
  • Character sheets/face claims nice but not needed (if using FC's, no anime or furries please)
I'm sure there are a million other things I could put above, but in an effort to keep this short(ish), let's move on to genres and ideas!

Genres:

  • Fantasy (high, low, medieval, modern, supernatural, eldritch, WHATEVER)
  • Sci-Fi (to some extents)
  • Action/Adventure
  • Some horror/mystery
  • Some fandoms (this is a pretty limited list, so please inquire if you're interested)

Ideas:
Muse A & Muse B have each been selected by an experienced magician to be brought up and trained in whatever veins of magic they see fit. The magicians aim to, when the time is right, pit A & B against each other in an age-old challenge that has, historically, been surrounded by mystery. The only thing known for certain is that at least one challenger never survives the game. A & B don't know of each other's identities or the fact that they're supposed to be opponents in the challenge. So, when they meet beforehand and actually kind of? hit it off, it undoubtedly creates issues down the line.

How will their dynamic progress as the challenge ensues? Will they try to change their fates, alter the rules of the game, take things into their own hands?

This idea loosely explores time travel and breaking fate. A group of explorers (scientists, soldiers, etc.) set off on some kind of world-saving expedition. Maybe it's to find an energy source to substitute the planet's depleted resources, maybe it's to find hospitable life elsewhere. Regardless, this attempt at saving what human life remains sparks a chain of events that, apparently, brings an end to everything.

Muse A & Muse B are two of the individuals on the team. The idea is that they'd become close through their journey (friends, found family, lovers, it doesn't matter). Through B's ability to time travel (this could be through supernatural powers, tech, etc.) they discover that A is seemingly responsible for the, cue dramatic music, end, and the only way to prevent that end is to eliminate A from the equation.

How will the characters try to find this seemingly unavoidable end? Will they alter time? Will they sacrifice the one to save the many, or will matters of the heart interfere?

Once upon a time, an underground government entity tasked with creating the "perfect soldier" went rogue. They started performing unsanctioned tests on young orphans: biomedical enhancements, DNA splicing, etc. The results were largely catastrophic, with death rates through the roof. Unfortunately, everything was swept under the rug, ignored... until tests started showing signs of success. "Success" of course, was a relative term.

Some of the subjects responded to the tests, showing signs of powers and enhancements beyond what anyone expected. Their mental stability, however, proved questionable. After being subjected to the atrocities of rigorous testing and alterations, the addition of their powers made most of them loose cannons. One day, some of the subjects got loose. The result was a bloodbath, ending in the death of many faculty and other subjects. Only then was the program discovered and promptly shut down, with all evidence-- living and non-- being incinerated.

Muse A and Muse B, however, were among a small group who managed to escape. The escapees scattered, left to forge their own paths. Now, years later, A & B have built quite different lives for themselves. While one has tried to use their abilities to help people, the other has channeled their pain into more destructive projects. The escapees have always had an idle awareness that others are out there existing in the world, but either due to safety, personal preference, or otherwise, they haven't sought each other out. Until now. Rumors have started surfacing about a resurgence of the program that made them. A & B are both desperate to bring and end to this, or stop it before it can begin, but their methods are very different. Can they work together to try and prevent what happened to them from happening to others? Will they get in each others' way, and if so, how will their fighting aid the endeavors of their common enemy?

These are just a few ideas. I'm happy to hear any that you might have or come up with something from scratch. DM me with your interests and a little bit about yourself, and let's get this show on the road!
