Realistic or Modern A hunt for military themed RPs

While I'm still looking for people interested in a group RP, I think doing a few 1-on-1 RPs would help to keep my hunger for RP from being too great.
I'm looking for someone to play with as crew members of some kind of military vehicle, be it on/in/under the ground, sea and air.
The time period would be between the mid-ww2 to the end of the cold war in an alternate universe where men and women are both serving in the world's militaries.
Mainly looking for soldier-on-solider action, but wouldn't really mind doing something with civilians included.
