The city of New Angeles is a city set in a fictional United States, comparable to a cross between New York City and Las Vegas. Gambling, drugs, and crime are prevalent, but those who fight their way to the top by means of luck, hard work, or not-so-legal methods - perhaps a combination of all three - can find themselves living in luxury with fame and fortune sitting in their palms. Among the most infamous criminals of New Angeles is The Artful Dodger. She is a faceless Robin Hood figure to much of the public and public enemy number one to the police force. Being the only criminal to be brought in for interrogation and released for lack of evidence, the NAPD is forced to send in their most brilliant agent for a more hands on approach. Be will this Golden Boy be successful or will he fall into the same steps of countless other victims? The Districts New Angeles is a large city, home to much of western population, which is divided into multiple districts. Below is a description of the most populous and notable districts: The Myriad District – The Wealthy District The Myriad District is one of all glitz and glam. It became the center of wealth in New Angeles shortly after IntuiTech built their center of operations there. A huge demand for technology soon sprouted and business was booming. The Myriad District is now home to many casinos, high-end clubs, and skyscraper business buildings. Though beneath all the shine of The Myriad District lie streets that you can't walk alone at night and a crime rate almost as bad as The Diamond District. The Central District – The Average District As a strong agriculturally focused society in the past, The Central District has always been a bit behind the times. However due to its centralized family-like society, it's developed strong trade network with is still prevalent today in its many business and markets. Many street performers can be found on the streets of The Central District due to its high traffic in all methods of transportation. The Diamond District – The Poor District The Diamond District was named after the large amount of diamonds found in the area during the late 1700s to early 1800s. It also become the center of operation of New Angeles - which was called Diamond City at the time - during the industrial revolution. Many people thought that the wealth would localize here, but it ended up shifting to The Myriad District when a large technological company built there. Sometimes the well lain brick roads can be seen underneath the cracked asphalt reminding the inhabitants of the area's once rich past. The Northern District - The Eccentric District Due to its distance from the majority of the city, The Northern District has never really been seen as part of New Angeles. Northern District kids often get bullied worse than Diamond District kids when they come into the cities due to offset in fashion and habits. Despite giving off the idea that it is a rural district because of its distance, it is comparable to the The Myriad District in architecture and vices. |
What I'm Looking For: - Preferably multiple daily responses - A minimum of 6 lines for each response (unless it's a dialogue-focused part in the story where response may be shorter) - A long-term partner - Proper grammar and spelling (a few mistakes are alright, no one is perfect!) What I Offer In Return: - An adaptable schedule - Fangirling and/or OOC chatting - A minimum of 6 lines per response (unless it's a dialogue-focused part in the story where response may be shorter) - A decent writing ability - A committed, ship-loving personality Your Character: Basic Concept Your character is the golden boy of the NAPD. He has never failed to close a case in his life. So when he took on the Dodger case, he expected far less time and effort to be put into it and fewer headaches to come out of it. After a long period of nothing new, he decides to go undercover and pose a interesting victim for Genevieve. But what he finds out about his mark may surprise him. Please submit a sample CS of your character and a sample of your writing to be considered. It doesn't have to be extensive like mine below. I just would like to get the general idea of the kind of character you have in mind. I put a lot of effort into this and I just ask for a bit in return. Thanks! |
Genevieve V. Shields is what some might call a criminal mastermind. Others simply call her a friend or a hero. It all depends on the side you're on. Some argue that she's simply misunderstood. Regardless of the circumstances, the NAPD see her as a threat that needs to be taken down and perhaps, in the future, an asset to be molded.
