A group Tag?

I am not sure if we have this, so here is the Idea.


You can create your own groups tags and put multiple people in it instead of tagging everyone over and over again.

If you have an rp and you wish to make an announcement.


Calling up your rp crew

Would be a cool idea, but I don't think their is add-on available for it. That said, it would probably be get awfully confusing when people started overlapping group tag names.

There is, yes. You can make your own add-ons, but it's incredibly labor intensive and, as far as I'm aware, only Wizard and Ghan are capable of doing so on the staff team. Unfortunately, they usually have bigger fish to fry (like being the site running).

There isn't even a program that allows for regular users to make tag groups at all, at this point in time (at least none that I've seen).

My uncle does programming stuff. I could try asking him next time I get to see him.


And as for the multi-tag confusion thing, it could tag everyone who's made a post on the thread.

I mean, it's definitely a cool idea. But anyone who is in a thread is alerted anytime someone makes a post (unless they turn off the alert themselves), so it would just duplicate out alert system, which wouldn't make sense. It's a neat idea. I'll definitely keep an eye out and do some research but as of right now, we don't have the oomph to enact such a thing. And, even if there is an add-on, it has to be compatible with all the gobbledy-gook in the back-end (which I honestly have very little understand of).

That program is much like we have. Administrators, like myself, can create group tags. For example, we have one for staff; however, it cannot be enabled in a way to allow non-admin users to create them.

You can actually do this with post macros I believe.

I mean, it's not gonna be a single tag. But you can create a post macro titled "The Crew" and include a number of tagged usernames in it. Then using the post macro you can tag them.
