    Early Life:
    • Philip Christopher Maynard was born in May 1956 as the eldest of three siblings in the English town of Ascot.
    • His father, Christopher Maynard, was a successful industrialist, whilst prior to marriage, his mother, Beatrice Maynard (nee Clark), had built a substantial real estate empire across the south of Britain.
    • As a child Philip was homeschooled by private tutors across several academic subjects before being enrolled in Harrow School, a full-time private boarding school for boys, at age 13.
    • Philip saw little of his father but doted on his mother and the attention she would give when he would return home through the holidays. From an early age he was instilled with a sense of responsibility as he was the eldest son.
    • Philip has never known a life without money and prestige.
    Adulthood
    • Philip pursued Economics and Mangement at Oxford University. He enrolled in Balliol College where he would unknowingly befriend some of the next generation of the world's leaders in politics, science, and business.
    • After graduating, Philip worked for his father, aiding in the management and operations of hundreds of companies and factories across Europe and Asia.

    • Besmirching the Maynard name in a DUI means Philip casts his brother Reece out of the business, and the family. The rest of the Maynards are forbidden from communicating or aiding Reece or his children.
    • Ruth succumbed to a terminal illness in 2010 at the age of 50. Philip was heartbroken. Incapable of dealing with his grief, his emotions turned to anger. Anger at everything, everyone. It was all for nothing. All the money he had could not keep his wife healthy.
    • Philip gains word of young Lucian's intelligence and acumen. With Ruth gone and society's opinions changing, Philip took to centre stage to announce the discovery of his secret son. With questionable subtlety, Philip excused Lucian from his mother in Italy, and reinstated his blood claim to the Maynard name. He saw Lucian as a useful asset in future plans for the business.

There are few traits in Liam that can't be traced back to another Maynard. He's a keen opportunist, duplicitous diplomat, and openly despises sharing despite the numerous charity campaigns he's headed. Gaudy, rich people bore a man like Liam, whose tastes have been simplified yet refined as a result of his old-money upbringing. He opts not to adorn himself in gold and jewels, instead surrounding himself with more subtle nods to his old-money fortune: tailored suits, thousand-dollar wine, and a dense, highly-guarded investment portfolio.

That being said, not much else about Liam is subtle in the respect that he claims to provide complete and utter authenticity to the public. Those closer to him tend to learn the truth sooner or later, but in the public eye, truth-teller is his persona. He's unashamedly brash, sarcastic, and obstinate, which also lends itself to his remarkable drive and conviction. Having gone to great lengths to see through the eyes of the average consumer, he markets himself as a palatable concoction of grandiose and down-to-earth. As a public figure, he's a great time—the camera and the microphone love him.

A piece of Liam's enigma is his status as a romantic less promiscuous than meets the eye. He takes great pleasure in teasing, goading, and raising hopes while remaining nonchalant about whatever attraction he's likely planning not to act on. Being a wealthy, carefree bachelor is just part of the image. On the other side, the pageantry and hidden agendas of marriage repulse Liam, much to the dismay of his relatives. Everybody wants something, he says, and marriage is just a means to an end. Though that isn't to say he's totally closed-off...

In terms of business, it isn't a question of what lines Liam would cross, but when he may have to. From the start of his life, even without being told, he felt entitled to his father's position and fortune. It is often remarked upon how similar him and Philip are, even as children. Between their trademark glares, stance, and matter-of-fact tones, it would almost seem like Liam has been intentionally parroting his idol and greatest adversary for years. In truth, within Liam is someone far more ruthless and power-hungry than he feels his infamous father could ever be. And thus far, that hunger has gone mostly unchecked.

But he maintains loyalty. Anyone who has stuck around long enough doesn't always receive his love, but they do earn a place as another one of his obligations lest he faces an offer he can't refuse. Morally, Liam can't stand to backstab the people he cares about, but that isn't to say he hasn't and won't again. But maybe, somewhere, he still hasn't figured out what he's doing it all for.

— As far as young Lucian was concerned, he had only one parent. His mother had long ago told him that it was best that he forget about his father and focus on the things that were right in front of him. He had taken her words to heart that day, pouring his love and care into his tiny family of four. He was a dutiful son, in their home country of Italy he would tend to his younger siblings while his mother worked as a professor at a private institution.

— From a young age Lucian showed early signs of advanced intelligence. His love of knowledge and learning was only nurtured by his mother, who would bring home reading material for her son. She could only scold him lightly when she would catch him reading late at night, when he was supposed to be asleep for school. No matter where he went, little Lucian had a book tucked under his arm.

— Was only nine when he came across some older men playing chess while taking a stroll through the village. Lucian watched them curiously for a time, until they urged him forward to watch them play. Before long he was playing himself and even managed to beat the two men. Lucian became known as something of a chess expert, beating any who challenged him within the village.

— At the age of 13 Lucian attends the European Golden Pawn Awards, where he receives the award of European Chess Legend for becoming one of the youngest Grandmasters. Evelyn has an array of personalities. To those that are close to her, she will let her guard down just a little bit and become warm and opening. Especially to the Warner family that she grew up so close around. They know everything about her and she could never hide anything from them either, or so they think. Evelyn learned to protect herself, especially since the incident that happened, which is what makes those around her call her an iron woman, or cold-hearted. She had to do this in order to survive in this family and those that would kill to get an ounce of detail from/about this family. Evelyn made herself to be a blunt in the face of the man, intellectual that would do anything to gain knowledge, determined and confident in herself. However, all of those strong personalities often times comes with underlying baggage. Evelyn has a constant battle with herself mentally because she tries so hard to fit in, gain the approval of The Warner family and also why she can never be loved the way she would like. Her last relationship left her extremely heartbroken, and it was even worse since she was due to wed until it was called off. By whom, nobody knows, but after that day, they said the love she had seemed to have darken a bit into nothing.

Biography:
Evelyn always wanted the love of her parents, but it seemed as though it was never big enough to extend to her. Her father, who was connected to the Warner family, had enough money where he got every possible thing that Evelyn could ever need or want. But Evelyn never wanted any of that, she only accepted the things she knew that could gain her the attention of her parents. Evelyn mostly spent her Summers and Winters at the Warner estate because her parents were too busy for her, and by busy we mean going out to ski trips in Europe and just other ties that didn't revolve around her until the accident that made her an orphan. After hearing the news, the Warner family did what they could only think of doing, taking her in. Evelyn always felt like a burden to the family and that is part of the reason why she owes them more than they could know. Rumors did start around her that she didn't even cry during the funeral or show an ounce of emotions after her parents demise, but deep down she was torn that she knew the love she wanted from her parents was never going to be given to her.

Growing up under the Warner name got her places and she used this to her best abilities. She did all that she could to be the intellectual and strong-willed woman that she is now. This gained her a seat at some high places, and along the journey she's met a sprinkle of good guys, but the ones who seemed to always get her, were the ones that were after her money, or the power that her last name brought with her. One day, she had thought she met the love of her life; becoming blinded by the unconditional love that this man had given to her, that she took the emotional and physical abuse that came with it when he lost his temper. Evelyn tried her best to hide the bruises and tried to be quiet and not heard, until one day she had enough and almost took the man out with the same fireplace rod he one time tried to use on her. Evelyn ran off that night and back to the Warners estate, never talking about that night and swearing off ever loving someone because nobody ever deserved the love she gave. Rumors of the engagement ending began to spread and turn into things that were not true; stating that she wasn't lovable or couldn't handle what he had to offer and the occasional cheating rumors. This turned Evelyn cold towards the man, and she became an even bigger advocate as well for women in this treacherous business. Evelyn took this time to work on herself, and build herself up to being who she currently is now. She rather die than let another man treat her the way she used to be treated, which explains why she always has her guard up, not only around the same sex, but more so around the opposite.

While she understands that Mr. Maynard might not be the...friendliest man alive. She makes up for it 10-fold. Vivienne is friendly, charming, and wholehearted in her approach to business. She works best as an executive assistant compared to the other roles she's had in the past because of her ability to work independently, having it no other way. Refuses actually. Vivienne is a great assistant because she's able to pick up on the needs of those she works for without them even asking things from her verbally, she likes to think she has a good read on their feelings...as she's been able to do this with a lot of people through her empathy and compassion. History

Biography:
Vivienne was born to a single mother in the dead of winter. Viv's mother had a tattered and torn past that she never really understood. Though the young girl never really asked. As far as she was concerned, Viv was happy with it being just the two of them, the best duo there ever was or ever could be. Times were hard, sometimes her mother struggled to put food on the table but...neighbors took pity, helping her or Vivienne out when it was needed. Growing up, school was important. The importance of a good education always emphasized as Vivienne's own mother never really managed to get her own. Being a smart girl, from an early age, Viv worked hard continuing to do so well through high school graduation. She was never valedictorian, but she was voted most likely to succeed in her senior class, involved in a plethora of groups throughout school, and managed to get into the best universities in the area. On scholarships, of course. Before graduation, Vivienne had done a 2-semester internship with Mainline International, which she had a pleasant experience with. It helped shape her decision in deciding to major in Journalism.

But life always had a funny way of...reminding you exactly what your priorities needed to be. Or at least, where Vivienne thought they should be. Just when she was done with her first semester of University, she visited her mother during winter break around her 20th birthday...her mother was diagnosed with breast cancer which was in its 2nd Stage.

Deciding to come home for the time being, Vivienne believed that it would be temporary. But...9 years later, she never returned. In that time, she managed to secure a job with Mainline International, thanks to the connection she had through her internship. She started in a more bottom-level administrative position before working her way up to Executive assistant quickly after an opening presented itself (something about the last assistant caving under pressure -- which she couldn't imagine doing.) She's been a loyal employee of the Maynard family business since, working more personally with them than most assistants in the business as she's proven to be more reliable, competent, and trustworthy with information. Her mother has been in and out of remission over the years, leaving Vivienne walking on a tightrope of whether she's going to lose the only family she has. Still, she smiles through or tries to, at least while at work.

Early Life:
  • Rahul grew up in Upstate New York in a lower middle class Indian family with an alcoholic father who disappeared searching for the American dream around the time Rahul was 11.
  • From an early age, Rahul learned that things in this world have to be earned and was engrained with some sort of resentment for the rich people in his school because of the unfairness.
  • Since he can remember, he’s had external pressure to be good from his mother and also internal pressure to be good and different from his father, who, even when he was around, wasn’t a good father figure.

Meeting Matheus:
  • Rahul was always good at school and it was obvious that he would be going far. Only when he got accepted to Harvard on a full scholarship was it clear just how far he was going. Joint concentration—a Harvard way to do double majors—was what Rahul aimed for in college. Political science and government, and philosophy were his two majors.
  • Of course, he still had to work to pay for his expenses because his mom couldn’t support him, however, he was always a workaholic and didn’t mind spending more time working.
  • At a random sports event at the neighboring college, Yale, he met Matheus Warner. They had a wonderful time together cheering for opposite football teams and then going for a coffee to get to know each other better.
  • After googling Mathias later that night, and finding out the man was filthy rich, Rahul’s interest in the other became lessened. Matheus, however, wasn’t the type of guy to give up quickly and after some chasing, the two ended up dating before getting into a relationship.

[ Brief Family History ]
Dominic Almeida was the first in his family to be born in the US. His family hailing from Portugal, his parents moved to the US for the chance to give their children the opportunities that they were not afforded in Portugal. Dominic was born only a year after his parents emigrated. From birth his parents pushed him to work hard and focus on his studies to allow him the chance to really make something of himself in the US. And Dominic obliged, being the first Almeida to not only go to university, but graduate with honors.
After school, Dominic worked hard and built a small marketing company with a focus on media marketing. He later met his wife, Abigail Jameson and not long after they had a son Theodore. As his company flourished and grew, Dominic began receiving offers from larger companies to buy him out, but he always declined. The only thing Dominic loved more than his work and company was his son, and he worked even harder building his company with the hopes of leaving it to Theodore one day.
Everything changed for Dominic one day when he met Eleanor Warner. The mogul did not ask to buy his company but instead invest in and help grow the company. Their offer seemed too good to be true, and Dominic fell for it, and he signed the lengthy contract put in front of him without any hesitation. Unfortunately, his lack of reading the fine print would spell disaster for him. Not even two years after the “partnership” Dominic’s company was gone from him and he found himself destitute. This guilt of losing everything he ever worked for and what he built for his son, drove him down a dark path and ultimately led to his demise.

[ Personal History ]
Theo was born the only son of Dominic and Abigail Almeida. The early part of his life was happy, with a loving mother and dotting father. He lived in a very nice house in a charming neighborhood and went to top level private schools, and there was nothing he could want or need that wasn’t provided to him. His father was his hero, he wanted to be just like him and would often accompany his father to his office, just wanting to be around him and see how his father worked.
One day when Theo was ten, unbeknownst to him, he witnessed the moment his life would change forever. He was doing his homework in his father’s office as his father worked, when his father’s secretary came rushing into the room. He watched as his father and the woman spoke in a hushed tone before she rushed back out. His father came strolling over to him and kindly asked him to pack up his schoolwork and take it to the conference room to continue working. While Theo did not want to go, he would never tell his father no. As he grabbed his things, the secretary returned, this time with a man and a woman with her. Theo looked the two up and down before looking back to his father, a genuine smile and kind greeting from his father being sent to these strangers. That was the last thing he saw before being rushed from the room by the secretary. After that day in his father’s office, Theo became very familiar with the name of the person his father was so happy to greet that day. Eleanor Warner became the name that at first brought his father hope and excitement, but later became the name his father cursed.
At first, Theo didn’t quite understand what was happening. His father stopped going to the office, then he had to leave his school, and finally his family had to move away from the only home he ever knew. By the age of twelve, Theo was living a very different life. His family lived in a small one bedroom apartment in a bad part of town that his mother worked two jobs to afford. His father was a shell of himself and rarely around, as he spent most of his time away from home gambling and drinking away the money he made from whatever job he had for the moment. It was a hard time for Theo as he didn’t quite understand how or why his family’s lives had been so changed. It wasn’t until Theo was entering high school that he got the full story out of his mother. Theo’s father’s company had been taken from him and he had been blackballed from the industry that his father had worked so hard to be a part of. With this new found knowledge, Theo was changed.
Theo made it his mission to get revenge for his family and specifically his father and destroy the people that destroyed his father, starting with Eleanor. He worked hard to build himself into the type of person that could enter into the world of the Warner’s. During high school, he focused on being an excellent student to gain access to a top university. Once he received admission to an ivy league school, he changed his name to his mother’s maiden name, creating a new identity and separating himself from his father. He went on to graduate top of his class in law school, and built a reputation as a shark in media law. Finally he was offered a position at Warner’s company, giving him access to begin his revenge.
It was never enough for Theo to be a part of the company, his plan always required more access than that would be able to provide. Since aiming his vengeance on Eleanor, he began following all news of her and anyone tied to her looking for a way into the family. Eventually it became clear that the Warner daughter could be his way in. As soon as he joined the company, his intentions turned to courting Amelia, turning on the charm and working his best manipulations. His efforts seemed to pay off, and not long after the two began dating, they were married. With the newfound access to the focus of his revenge, Theo is waiting and watching for his opportunity to take down the matriarch and possibly gain control of their company…ultimately being responsible for their demise just as they were for his families.

— Her interest in dance and acting took root early on, which ultimately allowed her to escape her abusive home at the age of 14 by enrolling and receiving a scholarship to Ennis Ballet Academy, a boarding school in Massachusetts. There are spots in her knowledge missing due to the less-than-well-rounded education she received at Ennis as the Academy emphasized the learning and retention of technique over traditional schooling. The school gets away with this due to its prestigious reputation and its private status.

— During her high school years, Violet began to lie to and deceive the much more affluent and powerful students, riding off a rumor that she was related to a different Williams family from Mississippi. While she was not exactly a mean girl, her capacity to spread salacious rumors and lies earned her many debts and many friendships, allowing her to maintain this illusion. It is the first time since she had left for Ennis Academy that she is at home. This is three days into her return, and the pair had been getting along swell up until the evening where she comes home from a late lunch with an old friend to find him drunk. Not unlike the general opinion Gilead would come to have of her, Violet's father picked a fight about her new attitude and her recent successes. He does not physically harm her, technically, but he places a hand on her shoulder and attempts to push her down into a dining room chair. Violet tells him to stop, smacks away at his hand, and in return, he punches her, and she grabs the empty bottle of Jack on the table and thwacks it against his head. This moment happens in a flash, and it subdues her father. He goes to bed early, and when she checks on him later that evening to place some ice on the goose egg from the bottle, she finds him in the midst of a stroke. No one except the pair of them know about this altercation, and she leaves him in the hospital in the days to follow. She has not investigated his condition further other than to ensure that one of the members of his congregation, a woman he is now married to, took him home and nursed him back to health. Violet keeps tabs on her father now, but she has not spoken to him since she was 18. He does not know she is famous, though many in Gilead have likely heard of her name and may have made the connection

╰┈➤ oh june-bug, born in the sweltering heat of summer in the towering skyscrapers of new york city to a family with eyes of steel. she grew like a weed taking root, pushing her way to the sun in the polluted sky. the big city never scared her, and as a girl barely reaching one's waist, her eyes were peeled to the billboards and she pointed a finger - 'I'll be there.' in her palm, the world would shiver at her dedication and set out to break her down to test it. pushing through the ranks, june made her first noticeable appearance as she rushed into a top-named university in new york to major in film production and minor in journalism. following in her families footsteps they said, but she had long since set her eyes for a horizon beyond even her families power.

here, in her undergraduate degree, june met violet (played by demonology demonology ) after putting out an audition for a short-film that would serve as her thesis to complete her degree. unbeknownst to her, violet would slam into her life after being selected and plant herself there as the two of them worked on the film. long hours spent on the production led to nights dragged to june's apartment, and no matter how much june poked and prodded at violet's past, there were secrets between them that continued to linger.

after graduation, june refused to rely on opening doors with her last name, and stubbornly applied for jobs with the experiences she had gained through her schooling, successfully landing herself a small job as a production assistant for a station that was soon after consumed by mainline international. even her efforts were not enough to escape the hold her family had on media. gritting her teeth, june tried again, and again, but every road led back to mainline international and her last name was a stain on her efforts. swallowing her disgust and disappointment, june dug deep into her connections and landed herself a job at golden studios; a leading production company under her families name. not long after, a horror film carvings in the wall with her as the assistant producer took to the headlines and she finally made herself a name.

Biography: Wendy was born January 1st 2002 right at 12 am to Eleanor Warner. But Wendy didn't know this for many years she thought her mother had died cause of what her father, Troy Murphy, told her. Wendy had a very tough life growing up. Her father really did not care about Wendy he had only taken her cause Eleanor had paid him off. Wendy almost practically raised herself. Though in the beginning she did haver her grandmother. She was really the only person Wendy felt close to but unforntalty her grandmother got sick and died when Wendy was only 5. From then on Wendy was practically on her own. Her father was a gambler and a scammer that's how he got most of his money. He was the most convincing liar Wendy had ever seen and seemed to always know how to charm women. Troy had a lot of girlfriends and each own was awful and abusive to Wendy in some sort of fashion. And her father had ragging temper and sometimes would take it out of Wendy. Her school life wasn't much better for Wendy got bullied a lot because of all this Wendy was very reclusive and shy girl she always kept to herself had had very few friends during this time. Despite all of this however Wendy was naturally very intelligent and even ended up skipping a grade. Though this didn't seem to impress her father at all. Wendy was also a very observant girl and was good reading people. She hear and notice things that others would over look or miss.

Growing up Wendy liked to read a lot it was how she escape from her everyday problems she also had taken and interest in comics, manga to be exact. Wendy also had a talent for drawing which she liked doing it always seemed to calm her. Wendy also loved to draw her mother imaging what she looked like. She always day dreamed what she might have been like. It wasn't until the age of 12 Wendy learned of her real mother. One night Wendy and her father got into a argument and Wendy yelled at her father that if her mother was around things would be different. Troy laughed at her then told her truth. Wendy was angry and upset and cried half the night. There was no way that was true maybe she thought there was good reason besides her father was known liar there had to be parts of it that wasn't true. But deep down Wendy had strong feeling he wasn't. A year later her father died. Wendy found on the floor when she got home from school. What he died from could have been anyone's guess, her father was not a stranger to drugs, but it did freak Wendy out and now she really was truly alone and didn't know what to do next. But she then remembered what father said about her real mother and who she was. Without giving it a second thought Wendy packed up her things luckily she happened to find the address in her father's things. She wondered if had planned to get more money out of her if he wasn't already. Wendy set off to find her mother but unfortunately finding out the truth turned to be more heartbreaking then she was prepared for.

Eleanor was not to happy to see a long lost daughter show up at her door step and would never come to truly acknowledge her. Even though it was unspoken people knew who Wendy was. Growing up in the Warner family Wendy always felt out of place even if she was technically part of the family and living with them there was a disconnect and she felt as if she was just kind of there taking up space. Even is she did make a connection with some siblings and or cousins she always felt like an outsider. With these feelings along with the fact despite her changing schools she still had to deal with bullying it didn't do great for her mental health and there would be times where she had dark thoughts. Though that's all they ever were. Finally one day she finally snapped that shy good girl personality she had altered during her teen years. Wendy was quite the wild child during her teen years. She was always getting into trouble and she didn't take school seriously though funny enough her grades didn't really drop very low. She had gotten into partying and drinking drinking had become almost a regular thing for her. It was the only time where mind felt clear and her thoughts weren't screaming at her. On top of that it got rid of the nightmares she had started to have. They were mostly memories of her past but more intense.

  • Sutton Penelope Warner was born into privilege on November 26, 1998. Her father, Gregory Hallam, had divorced her mother, Eleanor Warner, when she was just 4 years old, winning custody of all three children. Sutton's longing for her father's love was evident from an early age, and she visited him as often as possible, establishing herself as a true Daddy's girl ™.

  • Despite attending a private school, Sutton's academic performance was rather mediocre. Her true brilliance shone in extracurricular activities such as polo, dressage, tennis, and chess, in which she achieved remarkable success, winning numerous medals.

  • Growing up in the care of nannies and her older siblings, Sutton developed independence and a flair for seeking attention, often putting on "home fashion shows" and creating her own designs out of expensive pieces from mothers closet, much to her dismay.
Adulthood
  • At 18, Sutton applied to numerous colleges but accepted into few, she decided to attend NYU, the first two years of her experience was spent with strangers, alcohol and occasionally, drugs. Her actions had caught notice of the tabloids who embellished on her worst nights and continued to create rumors of a Warner heir that was supposedly selling sex tapes like hotcakes. There are those who are wealthy and those who have enough wealth to last them lifetimes. Within their home in South Africa, the Abiola family were at the pinnacle of high society. You see, all of their wealth came from the large diamond mine that their founding patriarch had come across during his time as a simple miner. Through hard work and fighting off competitors, the Abiola family was able to secure multiple gemstone mines around the world. And so their brand, Darlings, was born and they became masters at the exploration, mining, retail, trading and industrial manufacturing of precious gemstones.

The Abiola name became household and soon the interviews came flooding in, bringing them into the spotlight even further. Darlings grew into a mighty empire that went on to open their own stores, hire their own jewelers and gemologist, going as far as to award scholarships to individuals interested in the art of geology and lapidary.

Giselle was lucky enough to be born into such a blessed bloodline. A golden spoon situated firmly in her mouth with a sign of falling out. There was little that she or her six siblings wanted for. They were raised under the loving but stern eyes of their parents, who pushed their children to be the very best that they could be. The Abiola children were pushed to learn the family business while also becoming cultured members of their clan. Lessons in dance, in music, and languages were just some of the things that they learned under tutors.

Giselle enjoyed these privileges freely. Her parents were stern but never restricting. As long as she did nothing to harm their reputation, she was free to learn and grow as she wished. Throughout her life she would travel, be it to South Africa to visit family or to far away countries as a foreign exchange student, she learned of the world around her.

And like her siblings she took to learning the family business. Her first task had been managing one of their stores and she had passed with flying colors. It was after she graduated from Spelman in Atlanta that her parents began to push the idea of marriage on her and her siblings. And while they eventually gave in, Giselle fought tooth and nail against the idea. She was not done living yet, she refused to settle down when there was still so much to go and and enjoy.

As years passed her parents’ patience grew thin and when her father grew sick, a family meeting was called. Giselle was given an ultimatum. Settle down and find a husband or be banished from the family business.
