Dragon Type: Abyss Wyrm. A most fearsome breed of dragon. Incredibly fast and strong, with wings that beat fast enough to propel the dragon many miles in mere minutes. It can breathe fire, but also gathers energy from the sun or moon through it's crystals to give of high energy beams that can cut through stone. The tail has a blade of scales that stick up for some unknown reason. The scales are not particularly tough, but vitals are usually covered with some sort of crystal. Crystal colors are are varied, but are generally darker, such as blues, reds, greens, and the occassional black.


He is the last of his breed, and in his prime, as these dragons can live for close to 15,000 years.

This breed of dragon is nearly impossible to locate or pursue. It's whereabouts, environmental preferences, travel patterns, and intentions are shrouded in mystery. It's odd appearance can either be miraculous or devastating - any being who crosses it's path should pray for it to be the former.


'Stamen', when translated, is Latin for 'thread of the fates', a fitting title for this breed. It is said that the Stamen Draconian has other-worldly premonitions, and appears to certain beings to either warn them, or to bless them with future circumstances. It is always unknown whether or not seeing this creature appear before you is good or bad - only time can tell. The best you can do is prepare for the worst. One of the reasons the Stamen Draconian always is seen with a mask, or facial guard, is for the reason of blurring the boundary between a helpful or harmful warning. These creatures are by far the rarest to accidentally encounter, or to search for. With such little known about them, many search their whole lives for one, and never find one. These creatures are masters of subtlety, silence, and keeping hidden from the eyes of dragons and humans alike.


The typical life span of a Stamen Draconian is estimated to be about 23,000 years. This breed will often choose one and only one life-long mate. Though usually, mates are of their own species, it isn't impossible for this dragon to feel attraction towards other breeds.


The Stamen Draconian resides in a simple range of two colors - silver and gold. Their scaly hides are thick, and very difficult to penetrate without extreme methods. These creatures are strong and quick, with muscle mass clear in their bodies. During development, while within their birth eggs, a strange, metallic material, said to be the same material that their bone structure is forged of, creates a 'mask' of sorts over their faces, one that grows with the developing dragon both in the egg and outside of the egg. They are able to eat and bite if necessary, seeing as this natural mask only covers the top portion of their heads and necks. Size-wise, the Stamen Draconian resides from the middle range to small range in height. Though not the largest of breeds, the Stamen Draconian uses unique methods to combat other dragons if necessary. This species is rarely seen challenging other dragons; they only fight when defending themselves or their young.


Stamen Draconians will often hunt or fight singularly, unless they have a mate. The main method of combating is by first confusing their opponent, mainly with their unnatural-appearing facial shroud. They attack when least expected, either by lunging at their prey themselves, or by having their mate attack from behind or from the side. Stamen Draconians are very forceful, and can pin down opponents with ease, leave nasty marks, and deliver brutal, sharp blows. The element of surprise has been mastered by this species, and as they can never be seen coming, nothing can ever escape their attention - threatening or harmless alike.


Stamen Draconians are said to be excellent sprinters, as well as skillful climbers. Though their flying capabilities aren't quite as speedy as other breeds, their capabilities on the ground cannot be matched. Speeds can reach up to ninety five miles per hour when at a full sprint. They can climb nearly anything set in their ways - their claws, which look rather stubby and short, are able to extend in order to gain better grip on a variety of surfaces. This also provides for sharper claws to slice with in combative situations.


Personality:


Aurum is a solitary dragon, whose premonitions have led her to new places throughout her life. She can become very curious, which battles against her breeds' mysterious status, and though she can usually control it, she will sometimes crack and observe whatever she's curious about from afar, if not up close. She gets easily intimidated by male dragons of any breed; females aren't quite as bad, but males are always creatures who keep her hidden. Whenever she gains a clear premonition, she cannot battle the urge to warn the subjects of them, and will travel far and wide to deliver whatever signs she feels she needs to. She's a unique specimen of her kind, one who can show herself far more often than others of her kind.

Fridgidus Beast


This breed of dragon is known, and feared, far and wide across the lands. Tremendous size and strength, combined with it's frost flames and nearly impenetrable scales, make for a fearsome and powerful opponent. Though there are limited numbers of this specific species, each one alive is a force very little willingly reckon with - only the simple-minded or the arrogant will go up against this monstrous beast and find the ultimate challenge.


As the name would suggest, this breed of dragon is native to the tundras and snow-capped mountains of the world. They are able to be seen in other habitats, as well, but never has a Fridgidus Beast been seen in deserts, or excessively dry/warm-weathered environments. They can thrive in cool environments or snowy environments only.


The typical lifespan of this species is 50,000 to 55,000 years. They are said to be one of the longest living breeds of dragons. Mating is not breed-specific; these dragons can gain attraction to any species, in fact, and there are many diverse half-breeds and sub-species of the Fridgidus Beast to be found because of this.


The Fridgidus Beast's natural colors range from dark silvers to light and dark grays, with a mix of pale or dark blues on the underbellies. Their scales are legendary for their thickness, and with a whole hide of them, penetrating their outer skin is a strenuous, nearly impossible task. Their underbellies aren't quite as strong as the rest of their scales, and is considered the weakest point of the dragon. The Fridgidus Beast's sizes vary, but always remain in the large end of the scale. Ancients of this breed are rumored to grow the size of a small mountain. Their strength surpasses many species, though their reflex speed isn't ideally sharp, a weakness to dragons practiced in tactility and quick reflexes. This species can breath a very unique type of fire which does not burn, but freezes, always colored a bright, chilled white. It's temperature is so low that being hit by a blast of this 'flame' will encase your body/limb in a strong covering of ice, used to demobilize opponents and provide for easier, more direct attacking.


This breed is aggressive and dominant in nature, meaning that they do not fear being challenged and are drawn into battles frequently. They attack alone or with a mate, but never in packs. Their attack methods are brutish and direct, with blunt blows of the tail, swipes and hits with the hands and claws, pinning and crushing opponents, breaking limbs at the first chance. Their tactical knowledge and their elements of surprise are their weak points - they prefer attacking without the restraints of planned-out moves or techniques.


Fridgidus Beasts are master fliers and diggers. They have adapted to burrowing underneath snow and dirt in order to keep warm in freezing climates, with long, curving claws for both stinging gashes and stronger digging. Their wings are quite strong, and usually very wide and long, providing for long periods of flight and, if necessary, tremendous speeds.

She tears the souls of her enemies for a good meal and to keep her terryifying appearance on the marks of their skeletons. They have large horns, a shadowy presence of evil, and a bad attitude. Mostly found in caves, and can hide in any rocky mountain.


Personality:


You just ran into a hot mess. Axelmeus is a very short-tempered, furious, and destructive dragoness. Her rare shadow abilities inflict scarce bravery within these very lands. When it comes to other dragons, she is very territorial and and will most likely kill them on the spot. The only time she has made contact with humans, is when she raided a village, used her shadow fire, took a few souls, and when the merchants and nobles interfere with her domain.

~Celestial Dragon~


Celestial dragons are known as the oldest dragons in the world. They are called Celestial due them being able to go past the sky, to the heavens when they fly. No dragon really knows how they handle the coldness but it is a gift that earned them their names. They have extra long tails, almost twice the size of their body (minus the tail).


Celestial Dragons love to stay above the sky, gazing at the world below and the stars above. Some believe it grants them wisdom. When they return, they shoot down from the sky and because of their long tales, they can be mistaken as a shooting star. They are much larger than the average dragon and their scales and wings sparkle brilliantly, which also helped earn their name.
