- It was around the 12th century when people had started developing ideas and opinions of people who aren't exactly human. Early native americans made sacrifices to gods and goddesses hoping to bring good fortune or appease their anger while others hoped and prayed to them in order to reach the afterlife.
It extended to around the early to late 1500s when catholicism took over most of the population and any weird or strange occurrence was linked to ghosts or witch craft. They were often tortured and "burned at the stake" for these accusations. Anyone who seemed a little off, or weird to just one person was convicted of being a magic user. These events have created a new era in society and it's actions.
Seeing as how things have gone this way, you would assume that society has learned from it's past mistakes and has moved on from it's tragic past and matured into a people that respect each other. Unfortunately, that is not the case. If anything,
it has gotten much worse. In the late 1800s it was a man by the name of [use your imagination it's not really relevant here] and he had decided that the world needed not to suffer any longer fearing the power that these magic users held. Thinking up an elaborate plan, he had decided to wipe out all magic users. Of course, he failed and the class of people are very little.
Presently, in the late 90s, there is heavy prejudice against what is left of the magic users. Some are sentenced to death while others are deemed as useful and put to work depending on said abilities.
- - Try to refrain from making a super heavy backstory. (eg: parents "died and has no family left" is something I tend to see a lot)
- Try not to make your character overly sexual. I understand if it's their personality but ir shouldn't make everyone else uncomfortable.
- Please no over powered characters. Even fictional characters have their limits. The same goes for weak characters as well.
I don't think anyone would like a completely incompetent person in the roleplay. (e.g: can't die and has intense visions into the future)
- I understand that everyone wants to be the good or minority character but please I would like this to be a dynamic rp with dynamic characters. I don't care about gender but if that's the case then try to make rude personalities as well. And don't be afraid to make a human that hates the minority or a cop that enforces the laws against them. Mix it up!
- You can make up to two characters
- No one liners. I know everyone says that but we shouldn't have to. If you don't know what to write, talk about the area your character is in. At 5+ full sentences is good. - Characters
