Two best friends... an arranged marriage... love... and loss.
There is a Kingdom of people who are finely in-tuned with the magic around them- Asmeiria. The royal bloodline even touts the powerhouse of a rare magic... Spirit and it’s ultimate form called Evangelism. Their closest ally, Donagon aren’t exactly weak. While they may not be able to tape into the raw energies of the elements, they hone in their abilities with the uncanny ability of being one with a single dragon for life... even able to tape into their extraordinary senses. Together, these kingdoms have held back Drauca- a kingdom of malevolent beings- from the weaker and smaller kingdoms to the east. A decisive attack is launched against Asmeiria, the arguably more annoying Kingdom to deal with. In a single night Asmeiria falls with no witnesses to recall the monstrosities unleashed- save one. The princess. Unfortunately, she is thought to be dead... while actually being held prison and being subject to all sorts of horrors. Her best friend and betrothed, the prince of Donagon, mourned the loss of his beloved best friend. Tragically, he last words to her were full of rage as he hated the idea of not being able to find love himself.. despite living his friend. He told her he’d rather die than marry her. Years down the line, those words would haunt him.. as none could quite make him happy like his “dearest and long departed” friend...
Will the two ever find each other and find happiness? Or will the forces of darkness finally rip them apart for good?
