Fantasy A Cry of Blood and Pilgrims

Danwin

Defender of Ereldoth, House of Gildenheart
The year is 1212 A.D.

Dark rain falls on the southern forests of Germany. You huddle at the base of a large cliff, clutching a cloak around your face.Your sword lies bare across your knees, the rainwater cleaning away the flecks of blood and dirt. To most, you are a mere child, just 16 years old, but you and your companions know better - as do the corpses of the ruffians you left to guard the entrance to the canyon. You have become a hardened soldier despite your young age. The harsh weather, slavers, bandits, marauders, wild beasts, sicknesses and disasters have claimed many of your friends, but those of you who have survived are strong. You will press on. You will reach the Holy Land, and when you return, riches and glory will be yours. You close your eyes and shut out the cries of the wounded as you dream of peacefully settling down on a farm someday...and perhaps even forging your own kingdom.

Joining a Crusade is not for the faint of heart. Make sure ye read the rules below and accept them before posting characters. There is a section on DO NOTs and a section on DOs.

1. DO NOT include explicit language/sexual scenes.

I get the gritty and brutal setting of the Children's Crusade, but keep it from getting too graphic. Honestly, using cuss words makes you sound a more immature writer. Also bear in mind that this is adventure/drama fiction, not erotic fiction (though romance will undoubtedly be present). Fade out sex scenes and put a filter on your character's mouths!

2. DO NOT use an Imperio curse in any way, shape or form.

Also called Bunnying or God-moding, an Imperio curse is where you control another Player Character. (PC) Do not do that, as it is the darkest form of role-playing magic, punishable by death and/or torture (usually in the form of forcible listening to the music of the infamous bard Justinian Bieberus). Non Player Characters (NPCs) are totally fine to interact with, however.

3. DO NOT employ the use of bad grammar, poor spelling, or sloppy writing.

I know you're not Tolkien, but if you're lazy, I have to clean up the thread. And I don't want to. Because that's no fun.

4. DO make sure your character is under the age of 20.

This is a tale of the Children's Crusade, so create your hero of the appropriate age. 10-18 is usually best, and keep in mind they will grow up.

5. DO be creative.

I want to see an epic story and brilliant characters emerge. I know this community, and I know you guys can do it!

6. DO be polite and courteous.

Your fellow players e are your brothers and sisters of hardship and battle now. At least treat them like that.

7. DO have fun!

If you can survive the adventure before you, you will surely meet with glory and riches! So enjoy every step, and put your heart into it!

Now to prove you have read the rules, include a Dragon anywhere into your character sheet before posting.
