seeking 1-2 more writers!
some essential fun facts: i'm twenty two years old and am a second year stem phd student (i hope i get hit by a car before qualifying exams later this fall). some of my hobbies include online shopping, going to concerts and art museums and the movies, and scrolling twitter.
most importantly - i've been writing and roleplaying for 10+ years now! but i think i'm over my multi paragraph, pretentious "i'm so literate, you need at least 500 word replies for me to look at you" phase: i've grown to appreciate the art of saying more with less.
hot girls write lazy lit. i think taking pressure off myself will help me have more fun with this hobby and creative outlet! and i just genuinely have better things to do with my time to worry about meeting an absurd minimum word count.
please send me a direct message if you're interested in writing with me.
about you
i'm excited to meet people i can create with! i love the collaborative aspect of writing with a partner - it's so fun to co-create everything from the setting to extensive histories between characters to vital npc's. if the vibes are right, you can expect stream of consciousness style musings about our characters, subplots, pinterest boards, spotify playlists, etc. i go hard when i'm into it.
i generally use the platform discord to connect with writing partners offline (pls include your discord tag in your message to me, if you have one) and i can post in-character replies either on this site or over discord - so that's really up to you if you have a preference.
rules
i am a busy person and i will never, ever prioritize my hobbies over my work. i can guarantee that you'll get at least one in character reply per two week period, at the very least - if that's a problem, i'm not the partner for you. i don't appreciate high pressure or nagging to reply. understand that i enjoy writing and it's a positive creative outlet for me, so if i'm not doing it, it's because i'm simply too occupied.activity
know that this is a safe and progressive space. i'm pro black, pro queer, pro choice, pro immigrant, and pro diversity - and that reflects in my character creation. i myself am a black queer woman, and i need to protect my heart and my peace: respectfully keep your distance if these aren't values you share.inclusivity
re: my "lazy lit" thoughts above, i want to make it clear that my standards for writing partners are still high - the only difference is that i care less about whatever the final word count ends up being. i believe the length of in character replies should be context dependent (ex: high action/dialogue scenes should be shorter, bc duh). i'll give you tantalizing, punchy, illustrative writing, and i expect the same from you. (i'd love a writing sample from you if you have one you're proud of, or a writer's style that you enjoy/want to emulate!)literacy

something is very, very wrong at home: in a town of just a few hundred, the recent disappearances of five teenagers is cause for panic. completely off the grid, tucked away in the scenic wilderness, it’s just the locals, destined to born and die there, screaming cicadas, and something violent moving in the darkness just behind the trees. the outside investigators brought in by the sheriff's department just so happen to have been born there who left for private reasons, and aren't exactly excited to be back.

a seemingly intellectual secret society at a top academic college slowly reveals itself as a cult through initiation tasks that grow increasingly intense and harrowing. by the time the new initiates find out, it’s too late to leave—they’re marked for life by something much, much bigger than themselves. that won't stop them from trying, though.

silver city is a hardcore, corrupt, high-crime urban jungle that has attracted its fair share of both criminals and vigilante lone superheroes determined to stop them. after the very public death of the city's premier hero, a symbol of pure goodwill and humanitarianism, more minor, hidden figures are prompted to step out of obscurity and work jointly to investigate a growing string of violence against the "good guys."

this year’s quarter quell is a district’s choice game. there’s a very specific type of tribute chosen to fight to the death: guilty of some heinous crime, severely misunderstood by their fellow citizens, and absolutely ravenous for the possibility of redemption in the nation’s eye.

thanks to advances in technology, anyone can move their consciousness into a virtual environment. people near the end of life use it as an escape from hospice—to inhabit their younger body, to sing and dance again, and to take a last chance at love.

an unspoken but palpable resentment builds in the up-and-coming art community when the whitney museum biennial exhibition decides who makes the cut, and consequently, who makes it big in the world of art. a trio of artists—contemporaries, longtime friends—knows some, but not all of them, will be picked. after a wild night out, the remaining two realize one is missing.
today, i will wear my white button down. i'm tired of wanting more. i think i'm finally worn. for you have a way of promising things, and i've been a forest fire
i am a forest fire, and i am the fire, and i am the forest, and i am the witness watching it. i stand in a valley watching it.
