The story is simple
UNIVERSE
.Magic is real
.Magic came from the blessings of the Axiom. An entity that embodies the will of all living things.
.The Axiom can materialize figures of myth and legend into reality.
.Magic Wielding Humans eventually began to designate themselves as "Mages".
MAGIC
.Mages have formed associations in order to band together to further the study of magic and maintain order in their respective countries.
.All Mage families are expected to have a child succeed them.
.Mages have different titles based on their countries and practices.
.The Church is an organization which have footholds in all countries. They are responsible for executing any mage that threatens the public
.Magic is hidden from the general public
GODS
.Legendary Entities (Sometimes called "Gods") can manifest themselves in the real world
.One of the sacred duties for Mages and their organizations is to protect the world against these threats and the trouble they bring
.Humans (Or Mages) can take on the power of these beings by killing them in a fight to the death
.The mortal body can only handle the powers of up to three legendary entities
.Each slain being grants 3-5 of its unique powers to the individual, which then reshape themselves to fit the personality of the Godslayer
.As the Godslayer is more or less a mortal, limitations are imposed upon each power. Each of which cannot be used more than once a day
.Most kinds of magic have a weaker effect against Godslayers because of their special nature
.Depending on where they rank in their pantheon or where their loyalties lie. Gods or by extension Godslayers can have their Authorities sealed by a higher ranking God
