A bit of wrap up... [Halcyon 2nd Ed]

Ten Thousand Club
A couple of questions for the story...

1.  Were just those five dead, or were there others?  (I'm trying to see if we have significant holes in the roster)

     a.  We only have one pilot, correct?  Falling Rain, the assistant pilot, is dead.

     b.  Are we going to assume that those that went to town are all on the ship, or are they on the Island (I figure if Thorne came back...)

2.  Do we have a destination?

3.  Is the Halcyon damaged in any way?  We took out the mast of the Icy Jade, but did they hurt us?

4.  Are we playing next week, or are we skipping a week and starting normal?

1. As I recall, there are only five dead.

    a. Yes. We currently have only one 'official' pilot. Both Sèvatuan and 'The New Guy' both are qualified to Pilot the ship, however.

    b. I defer to Mu'ad'Quinn.

2. Ayup. We haven't actually named the destination, but we've picked a spot on the charts and are sailing for it. Our destination contains both a port, and 'Ten Tigers.'

3. I believe the answer is 'not in any significant way, beyond the loss of an Anchor'. But I defer to Mu'ad'Quinn for the ultimate answer.

4. As of right now, I'm game for meeting on the 24th. I may be late, again, as I have an appointment with my eye-zapper after work that day, but I shouldn't be terribly delayed.

1. a. I thought the count may be a little higher than five but not of 'significant' NPCs.

b.  It was said that this had gone on for a while (including enough time for Flynn to make it acroos town, find us and return with us) so if they could return, I'm guessing that they did, but agree again that it's a Maud'Quinn call.

2.  I thought the target was Ten Stripes, but do agree that the name hasn't been designated  . . . Yet . . . I'm guessing a POV will take care of that soon

3.  Nothing was reported other than arrows in the decking, and the sudden airborn-ness of an anchor.

4.  What's this normal thingee????  Does it taste good or is it better petted?  I'm all up for playing next Thursday . . .

Alright.

1.  That's what I thought.  I didn't know if one of the DragonKings was dead--there were three on the roles, but only two (including Taree, my fave) were on deck.  I imagine the other was the cooper, and he was fixing the ship...

Although loosing Falling Rain is significant to Yngwie, if only because I wrote her into stories...

2-3 are just for the fic, it really doesn't mean much besides that.

4.  I'm game.  That is finals, so no real homework.  But I'l be in gestapo mode...

1. There were other casualties, but most of those were city guard who rushed onboard to try and stop the fight before the fight went iconic.

a. One experienced pilot, plus two competent exalts.

b. Most of the crew was still on-ship when the commotion started. Those that were belowdecks stayed there, having received an order from the captain that they were not to come to his aid (given, of course, after he realized who it was he was fighting).

2. The destination has been set, but not 'named' yet. Balota likely has the name somewhere.

3. Yes, the ship has received some minor damage. In addition to arrows in the deck (each of which has a white jade arrowhead inscribed with "For the Empire" in Old Realm), there are a number of small holes in the sails, some of the deck is charred where Frei stood for too long, the aforementioned anchor did get tossed, and there is the matter of some burned/cut/damaged rigging to attend to.

4. Likely, we'll be moving back to our two-week schedule now. How's the 31st for folk?

31st...

Honestly, the 31st might be a problem for me.  My last day of school is Tuesday--last day of work is Wednesday--but because I didn't chaperone Prom (ew!  I want to see them all prettified, but definitely do not want to see them dance.  Does that make me old?) nor am I going to Graduation (Six Flags over Jesus makes me uncomfortable), I need to work Thursday.

And then the English Wrap Party happens.  They have a keg and are bringing in a karoke machine.  It all depends on today, really.  If I do well today, then this might be my last year in McKinney.  Then I really need to go.  If not, then I can skip it, as I'll see most of them the next year...
