Fantasy A Bedtime Story (Doughnut and Mewbot)

DoughnutDistress

Really Gay
Vaughn had just moved into his new apartment. It was his first time ever living away from home and he was scared shitless but also kind of excited for it. He'd spent his first night on his own and he'd hardly gotten any sleep. It was different from his parents house, all the noises and even the smell of it. It made it difficult to sleep because of that but he didn't regret moving. He was old enough now to live on his own and it looked better to other guys if he was on his own. Plus, they wouldn't have to sneak around or be quiet that way.

More than anything, though, Vaughn could see the lights of the city. He was into photography at the moment and this new enviroment and the pretty skyline gave him a lot to photograph. In order to do that, he needed a camera. Most of his stuff was still packed away so he'd have to go through the boxes and find it. Unfortunately, he hadn't organsied them or labeled any of the boxes. He sat down in his empty living room and got started on searching for his camera. Instead, he found an old book from when he was a kid. He opened it up and looked through the worn pages. It was something about a blue and white monster who would eat kids who stayed out too late. Vaughn wasn't really interested in that right now so he threw it aside, the book still laying open to a page of the monster sleeping.

Vaughn continued his search for his camera, eager to get a good shot of the sunrise. Seeing as he couldn't sleep, he wanted to make the most of his time awake. Little did he know what he'd just set in motion.

N Nonexisting

The book on the floor started to shake just a little and the picture of the monster moved sitting up on the page stretching with a tiny yawn. It began to walk across the page before vanishing at the end. What sounded like a old lulliby could be heard coming from inside the book as small specks of blue light flickered around the book like sparks. When he wasn't looking that was when the monster appeared behind him. Zebby was curled up sleeping behind him and rubbed his eyes sitting up with a yawn. "What took you so long? It feels like I've been sleeping for ages....i'm starving..." he mumbled tiredly trailing off. He then looked at vaughn. "Who the hell are you?...why are you in My- wait....where am I?...where is---" his fours when wide then he groaned in pain with his fur on end holding his head with a wimper. He couldn't remember anything. He was drawing blanks. "Why dont i remember anything..."

Vaughn didn't notice anything weird happening to the book as it was now out of his line of sight. It wasn't out of earshot however and as soon as the monster had opened its mouth Vaughn was screaming and running to the opposite side of the room. This monster who he was pretty much traumatised of as a kid was now in the middle of his house, looking fairly calm about it. Well, he wasn't screaming like Vaughn was. Hopefully, the neighbours hadn't heard anything, he didn't know how to tell them that it was just a monster coming out from one of his childhood books, nothing to be concerned with. Well, probably nothing. It was pretty late so maybe he would end up getting eaten.

"What in the living fuck is going on...?" He mumbled to himself, eyes still wide, keeping a close eye on the monster. They were just as confused as each other.

Zebby looked up at vaughn who started screaming with wide eyes and his fur stood on end and he jumped. That really woke him up. Surprised him even. He then grabbed his head again with a whine it started to hurt again. "Please. Stop! " he growled and shortly pushed himself up to stand as he started to approach slowly with his tail behind him. He tilted his head and stopped with a hand on his hip narrowing his eyes. " How am I supposed to know, one minute I was taking a nap the next I wake up here....also, I can't seem to remember anything for some reason.." he told him with a deep exhale shaking his head. He then glared at him. "Also,I'm not going to hurt you unless you try to kill me...." he told him with a huff and began to turn around. He began to take another step forward. "Who are You? Where am i?"

As the monster stood up, Vaughn inched a little closer to the door, ready to run at a moments notice. He'd grown to fear this thing, of course he'd be scared. At least he seemed to be able to talk, maybe Vaughn could convince him not to take him away. Then the thing walked towards him. Vaughn immediately took two paces towards the door. Kill this thing? He didn't think the other understood exactly what kind of situation they were in. Vaughn was the weaker one right now, not the monster. It might be best to not tell him that, though.

"I'm not even going to touch you." He started off. He stuttered through some words, although e didn't normally have a stutter. "Stay there! Don't move anymore." It wasn't Sou much an order as a desperate plea.

Zebby tilted his head raising his brow giving him a rather confused look. His large hands sat on his hips. "I already said I wouldn't hurt you..." he told but gave a sigh. He then sat down where he stood crossing his legs ."very well,if that is what you wish I will just sit right here, though I really don't understand what you are so afraid of...i'm just as clueless as you are about all of this. " he stated simply putting his head in his hand tapping his chin. Zebby's eyes moved around the room with quite the curiosity. So far he hadn't the chance to fully take in his surroundings noticed the place was quite bare and full of boxes. He then slowly got up beginnng to investigate the apartment more. His hoves made small taps on the floor."Huh, nice place but it's a bit spacious and dull...just move in? Hmmm... though these walls could use a different color I would suggest starting with something pastel...." he told him walking around and picked up a camera eyeing it. He the. Set it back down gently. Zebby then walked over stepping on the book. He knelt down and picked it up. He looked at the cover with wide eyes and started flipping through the pages. The monster on the sleeping page was now blackened out as a shadow. He wasn't liking what he saw. Zebby looked disturbed."why am I in this book?...."
