Hello There!
Hi, and a warm welcome to the most pretentious partner search you've probably ever lay eyes on. My name is Rory, and I'm a twenty one year old from the UK. I'm an experienced roleplayer, and a sucker for a good story, but I'm also absolutely useless in every way under the sun, and so, if we've attempted a roleplay in the past that hasn't worked out, I offer here my sincerest apologies, and an open invitation to message me and try again! Before I launch into formalities, I'd like to explain a little about the goals of this search, and my purpose in putting it out there. Other than using this as a master doc for everything role- play related about me, I'm using this partner hunt as a desperate attempt to find a partner I connect to, both when writing and out of character. I've had my fair share of writing prompted friendships, and have gone through it all: the good, the bad and the ugly, and find myself nostalgic for the delights of my writing past. If you want to write spectacular stories, traverse through tale after tale and form a genuine friendship, then I'm your girl! Read on, if you dare!Hello There!

My Loves, Hates and In Betweens
Here is a quick run down of the things I want, and equally do not want in a partner.
☑ 18 +My Loves, Hates and In Betweens
Here is a quick run down of the things I want, and equally do not want in a partner.
Simply because I'm twenty one, and therefore profoundly uncomfortable roleplaying with minors.
☑ Engagement, excitement, enthusiasm
My posts can come anywhere from once every hour to once every week, depending on my schedule, and on the wishes of my partner. I don't ask for rapid responses, but appreciate one a week. I understand that everyone's lives come first, however, and will understand any inactivity completely. All I ask is communication, and excitement and conversation OOC! I want someone who cares just as much as me!
☑ Ghost friendly
REAL LIFE ALWAYS COMES FIRST! Don't worry, I understand that entirely, I know I've done my fair share of ghosting, to which I apologise, it's a habit I've resolved to entirely break. Whilst a heads up would be nice, I don't need nor expect one!
☑ Transparency
I really appreciate the ability to communicate with any partner I have. You should feel comfortable in saying anything on your mind to me, critiquing things or suggesting changes. We're all human, after all.
☑ Literate Writing
I'm not expecting Shakespearean verse, but appreciate something to work with. My replies can range anywhere from lazy lit to novella, and fluctuate around all of those styles incessantly. I just need something good to work with, and that unfortunately means no one- liners. I try to write an average of 300-700 words a reply, but that changes often! I also would like decent grammar and spelling, but will work with anything. I'm not an insane stickler for novel length posts or anything of the sort, and strongly believe in quality over quantity.
☑ OOC Conversation
I really love becoming friends with my partners, I love to be able to send moodboards, playlists, headcanons and the lot to the people I write with. It means a lot to me to be able to connect with my partners outside of just writing! This is probably one of my most important wants!
☒ Anything against site rules
I don't break any site rules, of course!
☒ Discriminatory behaviour
Anything discriminatory against anyone is not tolerated by me. I hope that goes without saying.

To Write, Or Not To Write
To write with me, or not, that is the question. Here's a brief overview of what I like, to see our compatibility.

To write with me, or not, that is the question. Here's a brief overview of what I like, to see our compatibility.
I play any gender pairing, and love them all! I’m currently aching to play a male muse!
☑ Romance
I'm an absolute sucker for romance- as long as it's believable. I adore every trope under the sun, enemies to lovers, soulmates, right person not enough time, and so on. A good, slow burn romantic storyline absolutely gives me life!
☑ Character Development
I love to watch characters change and grow over the course of the story, and so the more complex the character, the better! I adore deep psychoanalysis of morally grey individuals!
☑ Doubling
I don't mind doubling, and love to have a lot of side characters!
☑ Angst
I adore intense, dark, troubling stories. The angsti-er the better!

Tropes, Plots and OCs!
I almost exclusively roleplay original plotlines, and only very specific fandoms have the ability to sway me. The one fandom I consider roleplaying in is The Hunger Games.
I'd be up for any plot, and have a few I'm playing around with, but would love to build something from the ground up.

1692. In a small town, off the East Coast of America, the dishonoured family of Muse A have been relegated to life outside the throws of every day happenings. Their reputation dishonoured by an alleged affair between Muse A’s mother and the patriarch of the wealthy, upstanding merchant family that bore the name of the town, Muse A and their bitter resentful parents struggle to contend with the struggles of ruin. Their parents hardly talk to one another, and their family, once full of life and love, falls apart. Scorned and miserable, Muse A takes care of their young siblings and works on the flourishing garden their family once made great effort to maintain. That is, until one night, Muse A and their mother are seized on suspicion of witchcraft. Terrified, Muse A runs from their captors, eventually finding Muse B. The eldest child of the preacher’s family, Muse B is used to both hardship and comfort. The town, accepting and trusting of their family, welcomed them in with open arms and nothing but the warmest regards. Muse B’s father, however, despite the kindly face he presents to the congregation, is a bitter, cruel man, still hung up over the passing of his wife and his choice to seek the barren and exhausting life of religion and- mainly- the riches that his job comfort him with. Muse B struggles beneath the pressure of their father, struggling with the expectations laid upon them, and, more importantly, their new role as pure, untouched and holy, being specifically selected to identify those who the town suspect engage in witchcraft. With the guilt of the lives they ruined still fresh on their mind, they take pity on Muse A, smuggling them into the attic of their home, where the two of them form an unlikely friendship, together trying to overturn the backwards, bloodthirsty system of their town and both desperate to reconcile with their own struggles and guilts.
1949 - New Orleans. Muse A is married, and the father of two young children, both bright eyes and beautiful. Their partner, a lovely, caring and traditionally perfect young lady, fulfils their perceived role as homemaker in all the ways one should, in the eyes of society. Having served as a navy general in the Second World War, and being the absolute image of macho heroism, Muse A is well respected by his peers, with a near army of friends who revere him and treat him as somewhat of a leader. Despite his life of near- poverty, in a pokey, decrepit apartment in the French Quarter of the city, Muse A makes the most of his life, nearly ideal, on a surface level. Muse B, a wealthy car manufacturer from Detroit looks to open a dealership up in New Orleans. His large family, two teenage sons, and a lovely young daughter, as well as a beautiful, ideal wife, are the talk of the town, when Muse B buys an abandoned dealership and begins to renovate. Muse A, whose current salesman work is low- paying and unrewarding, seeks out Muse B, looking for a new job. Enchanted by the man’s gumption, Muse B takes him on, under his wing, and the two begin a riotously fun and exciting friendship. One night, whilst the two are speaking over drinks in a bar, Muse B opens up about his infidelities and his deviant behaviour, spending nights in the arms of male admirers. Shocked and horrified, but sympathetic, Muse A reveals that he has often felt the same way. The two take up an arrangement, their friendship will hide their true relationship, which begins to grow day by day, the two struggling to keep it under wraps, and hidden away from their loving families, navigating a world that is not even slightly accepting of who they are deep down.
Slice of Life Plots
Modern Day. An elite performing arts school. Muse A received a scholarship to an elite performing arts school in the centre of an enormous city. From unfortunate circumstances and with a tumultuous home life, Muse A harnesses their musical capabilities and talent at the instruments that the taught themselves, they find solace in their art, and look for the school’s tutorage in order to succeed. Muse B is from a wealthy, social- climbing family, whose success comes from a history of investment banking. Their mother, an opera singer- turned music tutor- encourages Muse B to follow her path and seek out tutorage at the Elite Performing Arts School. Charming, relatively talented, and interesting, Muse B rules the school with a group of vapid, although cruelly creative and hierarchy obsessed friends who do all they can to maintain the social order of the school. After a night of alcohol and drug prompted partying, Muse B, buckling under pressure from their family and school, gives into a dare to steal the school’s priceless trophy, designed by a timeless and famous artist. Muse A, framed by Muse B’s friend's, is threatened with expulsion. Given a week to prove their innocence, and with Muse B riddled with guilt, the two of them band together to find the trophy, whilst Muse B hides the fact that they stole it, and tries to formulate their own plan to maintain their innocence. There’s a lot of room to expand and continue exploring life at this school. Side note: Characters are all over eighteen. This is a university.
Crime Plots
Modern Day. London. Beneath the shadows, organised crime thrives. Hidden in back roads and dark alleyways, drug dens prosper and bodies begin to pile up. Three families command the world of darkness and death that has taken over the city, one ancient, using their money and connections to keep the government and secret service in the palm of their hand. One new, and fickle, but with near limitless funds that can bribe and pay off anyone who might need it. One falls within the perfect middle ground, with international connections that force those in power into place with fear. All of the families vie for power alone and in secret, but together present a united front, keeping the city under control. Muse A is the only child of the patriarch of one such family. Wickedly intelligent, cunning as their parents and viciously traumatised from the life the were raised into, they’re cold as a knife and just as deadly. They’re familiar with murder attempts and ransom notes, kidnappings and hitmen hired to take them out, all whilst being groomed by their parents to make the perfect heir and successor. Muse B is completely ordinary, or at least, they were. Born into a upper middle class family of local lawyers, with two siblings and a pleasant house in the suburbs, their life couldn’t have been more pleasant. That was, until, their older sibling was arrested over drug possession charges, and later killed, in what they’d find out was a tenuous connection to the underworld. Spurred on by this injustice, and with the nerve and knowledge to do so, Muse B seeks out revenge, teaming up with a Private Investigator and attempting to orchestrate the downfall of the empires that tore apart their family. Muse B didn’t expect, however, that when they finally came face to face with Muse A, the two of them would form an unprecedented connection, and Muse A would chose to defect and work alongside them to bring down the families.
Modern Day, a big city. Muse A is a down- on- their- luck police detective. They’d spent their childhood dreaming of heroism, solving crimes and following their bookworm desires to become a Sherlock Holmes or Agatha Christie- esque detective, helping those who truly needed it and solving the crimes that counted. All of that had fallen apart after their work on a previous case had left seven dead, and their job on the line. In a last ditch effort to save their own neck and reconcile for their mistakes, Muse A takes on a long thought unsolvable case, uncovering the identity of the city’s most vicious and dangerous serial killer. Taunted my mysterious clues, Haunted by the corpses that they fail to avenge, and constantly running from the grief of their past, Muse A falls for the mysterious and enchanting Muse B. Muse B, an enigmatic and kind person, teaches Muse A to see the light of
in their life once again, encouraging them to open and up and confront their past head on. Everything seems perfect. That, is, until one notes, that Muse B is the serial killer haunting the city, and destroying the psyche of Muse A.

Fantasy Plots
Nothing specific here yet! I’d love some high fantasy worlds, though, with heavy world building and a lot of detailed description!
Dystopian Plots
A perfect Utopia. Military intervention and nation revolution, combined with the effects of climate changed and Capitalistic desire left the world a hollow shell to be rebuilt. Contained, perfect communities sprung from the ashes, five in total, surrounding a singular idealised city. The specialism of each community funded their economy, One agricultural and farming, one specialising on luxury items, one focused on textile and material production, another on mining and raw materials and the final on military and weapon systems. The central city is closed off, controlled strictly by a government formed out of the elite families that control each of the communities. For the rich who inhabit the city, life is perfect. Their work, in medicine, scientific advancements and a corrupt version of environmental studies, is largely self contained. The work of the communities, large towns and villages interconnecting to form regions spanning upwards of three- four hundred miles, is also largely isolated. Those in the communities tend not to visit others, and nobody in the overall population has risked stepping away from their life completely. The world beyond is uninhabitable, touched by nuclear fallout and climate disaster. The military will not let anyone leave. The population flourished and grew for sometime, until the corruption of the government led to dwindling funds for the industries that supported everyone else, and worsening confusions for those in the communities. The only hope was worker harder, so that one day they could afford life in the city. It became an impossible pipe dream. Muse A lives in the city. Their family, with close connections to the government, pushes Muse A into the rigidly controlled entertainment industry, after a mysterious offer from a friend on the governing body. Muse A, a talented singer and powerful persuasive personality, is used as a propaganda sock puppet to indirectly keep the communities in line, whilst used by the government as personal entertainment for the families. Muse B, living out in the weapon and military community is aware that their best option will be to join the military, rather than slaving away in factories and fighting starvation. Once they’ve completed their training, they’re assigned a position working in the city, dealing with the underground black market and the illegal trade of government prohibited or sanctioned goods. There, they realise there’s an underground revolution playing out, one which they join without hesitation, despite the knowledge that its discovery will inevitably lead to the torture and execution of them and their loved ones. On a raid at a government party, their assigned with the kidnap of the largely hated and scorned at Muse A, a task that they succeed at. They’re assigned with their watch before Muse A is either disposed of or agrees to join the cause. The two of them realise they’ve both got a lot more in common than they could have ever imagined, and once Muse A, begrudgingly agrees to join, the two of them form a bond that their circumstances fight to break.
