he buzzing hum of electricity crackled softly around Bobbie Suzuki as she stood in the middle of a dark, abandoned subway platform, her fingers absentmindedly flicking arcs of blue lightning between them. The air smelled like rust, damp concrete, and the faint metallic scent of ozone—a side effect of her ability sparking against the stale underground air. Her combat boots scuffed against the cracked tile as she shifted her weight, eyes narrowed, scanning the shadows of the tunnel ahead.

This wasn’t a place people willingly wandered into—not unless they were looking for trouble. The subway system here had been out of commission for decades, left to decay and become a tomb of forgotten steel and stone. Faint remnants of the old world still clung to life here—graffiti-covered walls, collapsed ceilings, flickering emergency lights that barely held on, and the occasional distant echo of water dripping somewhere in the abyss.

But Bobbie wasn’t here to admire the scenery. She was here because something was coming.

She had spent the last three weeks tracking unusual energy surges through New Avalon, following the kind of patterns that didn’t happen by accident. Strange power fluctuations, spikes of unregistered electromagnetic activity, security footage glitches in areas Dominion was rumored to be operating in—things that pointed to one undeniable fact: something big was about to go down.

And she needed all hands on deck if they had any hope of stopping it.

Pulling out her hacked comm device, a sleek, black datapad jury-rigged with encryption strong enough to keep Dominion’s prying eyes out, she started typing.

MESSAGE SENT TO: [The Oracle Network]
📍 LOCATION ATTACHED
1:42 AM

-- "Shit’s about to hit the fan. Dominion’s making a move, and I don’t know what, but it’s big. I’ve been tracking power anomalies, and they’re converging here. If you don’t want to wake up in a Dominion-run hellscape, get your ass to this location. We need to talk. Now."**

As soon as she hit SEND, Bobbie exhaled sharply, feeling the familiar hum of tension coil in her chest. She hated calling for backup. She preferred to work alone, moving under the radar, taking out Dominion’s assets one by one like a ghost in the system. But this time?

This time, she could feel it in her bones. This was different.

A low rumbling shuddered through the subway tunnel, distant but deep—not the sound of a train. Her breath hitched slightly as she turned her head, listening. Something was moving down here.

Something big.

Bobbie reached for her knife holster, her other hand crackling with barely contained energy as the shadows shifted just beyond the broken tracks. The air around her felt charged, like the second before a storm.

Her message was out. Now all she could do was hope the others got here before it was too late.
