The Yaru Food Community Building had just come up with the best idea-a food competition. It'd be open to everyone, well, at least the chefs that are willing to participate. Of course the Yaru squad will provide the ingredients during bracket rounds, and give a warm up. All participants would be led into the introduction hall to give up why they wanted to join, and whether they think they'd be able to win. Each round will follow up with a subject/topic, and the chefs that participated will just have to find a dish worthy of the judges' tongues.

!!

As much as this sounds like Food Wars, I have to break it to ya'...it's legit Food Wars but with my rules XD. I'm hoping for at least 3-5 rounds, but if we have more interest, of course the rounds would increase. Yet this does not include the practice/warm up rounds for the chefs, nor the breaks so characters can interact and converse. The description may be a lot more smaller than you think, but I hope the roleplay will come up to be bigger than it seems.

Chef Contestants
#open
#5+ Needed
The characters competing within the whole competition, and trying to meet up to the judges' expectations. Note that you'll be required, or at least be able to search up, to know how the dish for the certain round is made. Not too descriptive-just the basics are needed.
Judges
#open
#2/6
The people-mainly just mentioned when dishes are finished so they can eat the food, while watching the chefs prep the dishes, and during breaks-that judge whatever the contestants make. Please note that even if you can't taste the dish, the main idea is how you like the way the IRL person described how they made the food. Even so, the OC you made can make criticizing comments / insults towards the dishes- simply by obtaining the role.

As much as it is a popular rule, it also is the best way to win as a chef. (Judges are safe in some ways but...nah.) Having descriptive posts help increase the likely-ness that you'd win a contest round. If it's under a paragraph-which I forbid-you'd probably fall out of the round.

To make it fair, no, one does not permanently lose in the contest until the final round. While the main contest is playing, losers will be able to go against each other in a cook off someone beats the group. By then, the main contest would be finished and the winner of that round will go against the winner of the losers' brackets.
03
Judges, for those who apply for this role AND for a chef, please note you cannot vote for your own chef to win. You will be forced to vote for another contestant other than yourself whether you liked yours best or not.

Sounds fun and different, I am keeping an eye out, if I participate I'll definitely wanna try chef/contestant :). Judging based on descriptions might be a little weird to do in practice, but interested to see how this experimental thing goes if it takes off.

This seems super interesting! I'd love to be one of the judges!
Alright~
I actually expected most judges to also be contestants bc they're not used AS much as the other, not the other way around lmfao
