Gosh. Isn't this a lovely surprise? Visitors! Come in, come in.
My name is Linden. How do you do?

I realize you must be terribly busy, so I'll make this introduction quick.

1. What are your favorite RP genres?
Fantasy (generally anything involving cool systems of magic), historical (1900s-1960s are periods I like to rewrite...periodically), superheroes (of the original character/universe variety), and every so often a good fandom (a la Harry Potter, Ghibli, and Avatar: The Last Airbender.)

2. What is your Hogwarts House?
Hufflepuff, yo. Badger pride.

3. Favorite topics of conversation?
Books, musicals, writing, and travel. You want to talk world building? So do I!

4. What was the last movie you saw in theaters?
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (It was so good!)

5. Favorite food/beverage?
Two words: Bubble. Tea.

Thanks for stopping by!

Hey Linden and Welcome to RPNation! A fellow Badger? Heck yeah! Badger Pride! I hope you don't mind me asking you a question: what first got you into roleplay?

Thank you, Arcana! Yeah, Hufflepuff!
This will come as no surprise, I'm sure, but Harry Potter is what hooked me. Started out in the fan fiction world then slowly shifted over. I just wanted so badly to go to Hogwarts that RP was the closest I've ever managed to get. ><

Yourself?

No surprise at all, I was honestly expecting it was because of Harry Potter.

As you can possibly tell by my signature, I started out with D&D back in 2003 with v3.5, went from tabletop to LARP and bounced between the two for a long time. I started Harry Potter RP back in... 2010 I think it was, but it was combining D&D-aspects with Harry Potter (try it, it's much more funny, the anarchy my group got up to!).

D&D seems super fun, but there are so many gosh darn rules! My friends and I tried 5th edition last year and it was fun since our DM didn't make it combat heavy (we're more of the storytelling type group than the kill everything in sight group). Have you ever tried Tales from the Loop? Much simpler game mechanics (also not a combat roleplaying game), but we enjoyed it because we like Stranger Things. (:

F Finalbeta Thank you!

It was back then, there are a lot of rules, but that is why we got into it when we did. It was easy to get used to back then. It's good that your DM was more story oriented, not a lot of DM's I've met are. I have not, I hadn't even heard of it until now. If it's like Stranger Things then sadly I am out, I did not really like the show myself.

Fair enough! (: I would highly recommend at least checking out the artwork though. The gamemnaker actually did all this awesome retro-futuristic art and then came up with the game concept to match the aesthetic. Thanks for chatting tabletop games with me!

No worries, we all have to talk about the different styles we have.
