catra wasnt one to typically show up to work on time, but seeing as her foster mother recently made her a manager (and with how little any supervisors were there, this made catra basically the boss) of their little coffee shop, she decided that taking her responsibilities seriously would help in terms of getting the higher ups to shut up with their complaints. so when she opened up the coffee shop and got everything up and running before the rest of the staff showed up, she did so with minimal complaints. this was her chance to show she deserved her college tuition paid for; which she was currently paying for by working two jobs.
the aroma of coffee and various breakfast delights filled the nostrils of the darker skinned brunette as she made her way to each individual table, wiping them down and ignoring the annoyingly chirpy music playing overhead on the crappy speakers. catra thought it was too damn early to be listening to upbeat pop music, but somebody on this side of the earth was probably thinking the exact opposite at…
catra turned her head to glance at the clock..
….545 am. speaking of which, where was all of her staff? only two people had clocked in so far. they opened at six! where the hell was everybody?
the annoyance must have been clear on her face because her coworkers made haste in clearing to the other side of the shop to avoid getting on catra’s bad side. she didnt mind. catra was seen as the ‘hot but mean bitch’ that worked at the shop, but everyone knew she was far worse to deal with in the morning. there was a lot of things and people catra hated, and waking up early was pretty high on that extensive list.
catra paid no mind to those coworkers and continued to clean up the lobby. she knew that the drive thru would be busiest, but the inside was disgusting and it would get busy in about three hours. besides, it was a great excuse to keep from having to talk to anybody outside of work related stuff. catra didnt like small talk either.
