about me
hey there welcome to my thread! my name is gemini (though I often go by gem) and I am currently looking for a few 1 x 1 rps to keep the creative juices flowing in these rather horrible times. a few things about me...

↠ I am nineteen
↠ I'm in EST though I'm up until like two or three in the morning so usually it doesn't matter
↠ I am currently on a medical leave due to an injury (not that it really matters since the whole quarantine thing)
↠ If I am truly invested in a roleplay, you can expect incredibly frequent responses (at least one every day or every other day)
↠ I tend to write 3-10 hearty paragraphs as long as I have something to work with
↠ I also tend to write fxm plots but I will also write mxm and fxf plots and everything in between
↠ I prefer to write in threads or a separate PM. if you wish, I also use discord but find it rather difficult to write long posts there
↠ I'm totally fine with mature themes but I prefer to avoid certain topics (trigger warning) self harm, eating disorders, rape/sexual abuse, glamorization of mental illness
↠ you will also see that I do not have a lot of concrete plots below. that is because I view roleplaying as building a story together as a team and I think having a super specific plot kind of takes away from the amazing things that can happen when a plot is built together. also, if you have an idea that is not listed below but you think I'd enjoy, please don't hesitate to ask! I'll try just about anything

I am looking for...
↠ a partner who is mature. I hate putting age limits on things but please be at least sixteen though I don't plan on age checking or whatever
↠ someone who likes to chat and plan oorp
↠ someone who is willing to put the time in to create a good story
↠ posts that are at least 3 paragraphs (more is always welcome)
↠ literacy in posts/decent grasp of the english language (ie. no text speak, a good attempt at proper spelling and grammar). if spelling/grammar is difficult for you, please just let me know!
↠ doubling. I absolutely love to double, especially when it comes down to fandom related roleplays. in roleplays outside of fandom roleplays, I also love to double and have the stories interconnect somehow, I always find it super interesting. that being said, I'm also totally cool with having two completely separate plots but I always like to double
↠ drama and romance in a roleplay

now with all of that boring crap out of the way, lets get on with the plots! note, most plots only include a muse a and a muse b. however, I am totally open to reworking the plot to double or doing the plot twice with two different sets of characters. if you are interested, please PM me {please do not post here!}

  ☾ the hunter and the beast ☾
  supernatural, realistic/modern, romance, werewolf or vampire, angst, mxf
  muse a is well known in the supernatural hunting community for being one of the most intelligent and powerful hunters in her country. there have been few hunts that ended without success in some way, often resulting in more success than she bargained for. for years, she has been fueled by the hate for the supernatural following her father's suspicious death on a hunt when she was only twelve. muse b is a werewolf/vampire, feared by the public and forced to hide from the world in the depths of the forests and mountains that surround the town. his species and family had nearly been hunted to extinction due to the misunderstanding of supernatural creatures, calling them evil and vile animals.
  
  the day has come to finally finish the hunt and to eradicate the supernatural from the town and muse a has joined the hunt. when muse b catches wind of the hunt, he captures muse a to make an example of her but he cannot bring himself to kill her. instead, she is taken into the woods and kept alive until he figures out what to do with her. the more time muse a spends with muse b, the more she begins to understand that perhaps they are not evil and simply misunderstood. will she change her mind and help protect muse b and the species she once wanted to destroy? will muse b be allowed back in with their family once they find out he has been working with a human?

  muse a and muse b were childhood best friends, growing up as neighbours. they attended the same schools, were in similar clubs, spent every spare moment together. they even had the cliche pact that they would marry each other if they were both still single at forty. what neither person would admit was that they liked the other but refused to admit their feelings out of fear of ruining the friendship eventually high school graduation rolled around and the two moved apart and life moved on, vowing to stay friends even through the distance. ten years later, the two are back in town for a high school reunion after not speaking much after the summer following their high school graduation. is their chance to say everything they didn't all those years ago?

  muse a has never done well in school. in fact, they couldn't be bothered with their education at all. it is always more fun to break into stores, graffiti walls, smoke a joint after sundown. their entire high school career has been spent on and off of suspensions, nearly daily suspensions, and failing grades on the path to not graduate high school. they seem to be cruel to others, only hanging with the other bullies in the 'tough crowd'. muse b is intelligent, driven, kind, loved by the faculty and students for their helpful attitude and wit. they are an honours student well on track to the ivy leagues with a bright future about them.
  
  no one would ever guess these two ever had anything in common.
  
  both muse a and muse b come from abusive homes, born into a life of hate and fear. they're both missing one parent, left to fend for themselves by the remaining parent. the difference between them is how they coped with the situation. the school, knowing their stories, decide to pair the two up, muse b being muse a's tutor. muse a attempts to frighten muse b away, assuming that their intellect meant they were weak. but muse b has a lot more in store than muse a expected. the situation only becomes more complicated when the two begin to fall for each other despite the fact that their friends would not approve of the other. can muse b help muse a graduate? will muse a be able to get muse b to loosen up and have a good time for once? will their deep romance flourish or crash and burn?

  realistic/modern, romance, mob/mafia, 1920s, speakeasies
  prohibition is running rampant in chicago after the vicious events of world war one the decade before. speakeasies and gangs run the city under the radar of the government. muse a is a detective with the chicago police department tasked with taking down these speakeasies from the inside out. it is dangerous work with the gangs that run them breathing down their neck and they are incredibly good at their job. muse b is an entertainer at muse a's next targeted speakeasy, famous for their many talents. what happens when muse b introduces muse a to their world of dancing, singing, and crime?

  muse a is the consiglier to the boss of the rocci crime family. they are talented, eloquent, lethal, and, most importantly, trustworthy. muse b is the daughter of the boss and infamous for her rebellious attitude and disregard for her father's rules. it is decided that muse b is to be sent away to train to become the next boss of the crime family under the guidance of muse a. will muse b be able to learn? will she disappear from the crime family's grasp and live the life she always wanted? will muse a follow? {can also be a modern setting. a good plot for doubling with the above plot, knock three times}

  1940s, wwii, romance, fluff, war, mxf
  throughout high school, everyone always said that muse a and muse b would always be together. they were in love, or at least as in love as two naive teenagers could be. unfortunately, the beginning of wwii split the two apart with muse a being shipped overseas in the army, leaving muse b behind with nothing but letters to communicate with him by. but not even oceans and a war could keep the two apart as muse b fakes being male to enlist in the military as a medic, fighting the war alongside the love of her life.
