Two complete strangers arrive in Gravity Falls and happen upon a 4th journal revealing the secretes of the quiet town. What evils lurk in the surrounding woods? Will they survive their summer?

Piper was not in a good mood. After barely making it through finals, she came home to discover that her parents would be leaving soon on a two-month-long trip, without her.

"Your father and I were invented to a convention down in L.A.," her mother tried to explain while shoving a bundles of clothing into a suitcase.

"But for two whole months? That's more than half my summer! " Piper screeched.

"It's a very important convention, honey."

"You can't just leave me here, though."

"We aren't," Piper's father chimed in form across the room, "You'll be staying with a... friend of the family."

"Which friend?" Piper asked.

"Uh... Susan. She lives up in Oregon."

"Oregon! You can't send me to Oregon to stay with someone I barely know!"

"She was the only one who was willing to look after you on such sort notice," her mother replied, trying her best to calm her screaming daughter.

"You better start packing now," informed her father, "You'll be leaving for Gravity Falls tomorrow morning."

Piper did not bother to argue with them any further. The following day she boarded a small plane, much to her dismay, and departed from her home in San Francisco.

Hours passed, and now she sat on a rickety bus winding through the forest. The bus was practically empty, the only other passenger being boy across the aisle from her. He looked about her age, maybe younger. Piper tried not to stare at him for too long, afraid that he would catch her in the act. Leaning back into her seat, she distracted herself with another game on her smart phone. Hopefully they would be arriving in the town soon.

Mannet was encased in his music, the slow clap-like drum providing a smooth beat for the vocals to come in on. He didn't particularly enjoy Gravity Falls, but he had already spent one Summer there so he was kind of used to the area and its terribleness. Mannet glances over to the girl sitting next to him, she looked kind of cute to him, but the girl's view drifts over to Mannet. He instantly looks away, hoping she didn't catch him looking. Mannet continues to listen to the music until the bus stops. He gets up and walks to the front of the bus where a rather robust man awaits, "Huh, see you later, dude!" The man says to Mannet as he walks off, the question mark on the man's shirt described how Mannet was thinking at the moment; cloudy and mysterious.

"Oh well, let's see what can happen this Summer." Mannet jokefully remarks, not aware of the adventure he was about to embark on.

Piper rose to her feet as the bus came to a stop. She collected her baggage and exited the bus. On her way out, she gave a small nod to the driver. He seemed nice, but she was much to nervous to make any direct eye contact with him. Strangers made Piper a bit... uneasy.

The wind held a slit chill as it rustled through the trees. Piper stared out into the surrounding woodlands with dread. She was aware that Oregon was home to a vas number of forest, but she never expected the town to be right next to one. Hopefully, she wouldn't come in contact with any wild animals, which was highly unlikely. The best thing she could do now was to stay as far away from the woods as possible.

Piper reached into the side pocket of her backpack and uncovered a map of Gravity Falls. A building labeled "Greasy's Diner" had been circled in red ink. She traced the path she would have to follow with a finger and looked around for the corresponding streets. The boy who had sat next to her on the bus was standing a few meters away. She could hear him talking to himself. Never-less, she thought it might be a good idea to ask him for directions.

Gathering all her bravery, she approached the boy.

"Umm... could you, uh... h-help me?" Piper muttered.
