TW; Blood/gore/swearing/and all the triggers that come along with a zombie apocalypse
Basically our characters are up in Canada, and trying to cross a frozen river up in the middle of a mountain pass so they can get to a supposed small settlement on the other side. I'd like it if our characters were already friends and knew each other for the entirety of the fall of humanity/before then. I'd like this to get shippy eventually too?? But I would like some build up since I'm looking for something more long term/plot driven. So I'd prefer Male OC's. Girls I'll maybe accept but I headcanon my char as straight so? You can still run them by me though!
PARAGRAPH FORM ONLY! Try and match my responses, but I do understand that as time goes on they will get shorter. Just gimme some exposition to start then we can drop down to 3 sentences-paragraph kinda thing. Please give me a description/slight backstory or personality rundown before we start!
Name: Aisling Grace (pronounced ash-ling)
Age: 19
Appearance: Very short, scottish background. She has pale skin and lots of freckles. Her eyes are purple from a mutation on her estranged father's side of the family. Orange hair that goes down to mid-back, and she has on fingerless gloves, jeans, and a large leather jacket lined with fur.
Personality: Spunky, sarcastic. But she does get pretty anxious and tends to lash out when afraid. Has some self-image issues, but has pushed them aside as she has more important things to stress over.
Hobbies: Very, very smart. Her mother was a prosthetic technician, and taught her how to build robots and code. As such she's pretty good with math and technology, but is a little clueless with things like geography.
Also if y'all wanna brainstorm ideas/blips with me I am 100% for it!! So if you have ideas for the plot and want to plan them out don't be afraid to just up and suggest things for us to build off of!
God I know I'm picky, but if I'm not actively interested and excited about the RP it's hard for me to lose interest. Also, if you're having problems/getting bored please tell me?? Because I am 100% up for skipping time to get to exciting events/other things we want to do with the characters so just lemme know if you want to do a timeskip!
Also please no mary-sues. I'd rather not any magic shit or special powers unless it's something more minor and it's properly fleshed out with a reasonable story behind it and not kind of just.. there. I know it sounds bitchy but it's just a huge turn off for me creatively and I probably won't respond.
Also I'm new at this so I don't really know how it works? I'm thinking once we get things figured out we can move to a different chat/messenger thing like Skype or Discord, since in those ones you can jump back and search for things in the chat really easily and it's hella convenient since I like to reread things over and over.
To respond just kinda?? Put in a little character application thing? Idk give me a picture if you have one, and give me a rundown of your character. Personality, backstory, appearance, how they know my char(??? optionally probably we can always figure out together later), etc. Also tell me about yourself too!! It's important to know some stuff about who I'll be RPing with c: And I'll just reach out to the person who I think will be the best fit I guess? idk how this works help me lmao
Below is a sort of prompt thing? Kinda shows you my writing style and how I'd like it to start, and it can go literally anywhere from here! Just as long as everything has proper buildup and is explained properly
ALSO IMPORTANT: Do not just ghost me please? If you're busy tell me (and id like someone with a schedule that's relatively free). I had a bad experience with my past RP partner after she just kinda ditched me after 2 and a half years and it kinda fucked me up, so if you have problems or shit like that let me know. I'm very patient and calm, and I like to talk things out rather than let them sit until they come to a boil. I might seem like a bitch but I'm an anxious little shit I promise lmao

"I think it's thick enough to cross. I don't think we have any other choice." Aisling cast a side-long glance to you, before her eyes drifted back to the frozen river in front of you two. Her brows furrowed slightly, and she slung the make-shift bo staff she had made over her back. "There's no hordes up here far as I know- but do we really wanna risk it?"
It was the frozen Canadian North, and though the zombies were slowed by the cold it hadn't gotten quite chilly enough yet to stop them completely. You and your friend Aisling, who had known each other for quite some time now were in the midst of trying to reach what they had heard was a small settlement on the other side of a mountain pass. Luckily an old highway ran through it, but with the disrepair that came along with the apocalypse the journey was a little more difficult than one would've liked. You had reached a river, about halfway through the pass, but the old bridge that had been used to cross it before was destroyed. Presumably blown up or burnt, but neither of you really wanted to think about why.
You were brought back to the present when Aisling stepped forwards and placed a foot on the ice, gently leaning her weight on it to try and test its strength. Though her orange hair was pulled up into a tight bun, a few strands hung loose that she had to push back behind her ears. "We can't stay here." She finally decided with a sigh, looking back at you with those oh so stunning lavender eyes. "I'll go first, and hold this-" she held out her bo staff, "-horizontally in case I fall in so I don't get swept under. Then I'll throw it back to you. Sounds good?" She raised an eyebrow, awaiting your response.
