1x1 Elf Roleplay

Lizzy

Lady, running down to the riptide
1x1 between Lizzy and Zilvmay

Two elves are on an island in the middle of no where for different reasons(You get to pick your reason).

Eventually the two find each other and eventually, could grow to like and even love each other.

Like all relationships, theirs will have ups and downs, but isn't that what makes love, well, love?

But then again, they could just become close friends, willing to help each other through the other's problems.

My charrie

Name: Annika

Age: 15

Height: 5'0

Appearance:

<p><a href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2014_07/57a8bf8ef240f_Annikatheelf.PNG.ff7a7c81a9b211fcc449809625753b0c.PNG" class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image"><img data-fileid="21749" src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2014_07/57a8bf8ef240f_Annikatheelf.PNG.ff7a7c81a9b211fcc449809625753b0c.PNG" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt=""></a></p>

Under her skirt she has a knife strapped to her right thigh.

Other: When she was 6 she was taken from her village by human scientists who experimented on her for over 7 years. When she was 14 or 15 they suddenly left her on an island, causing her to fend for herself and become very anti-social, shy, and timid. She can be very friendly and sweet once she opens up to someone though.

Because of the experiments, she now has 'powers', or mutations. When in water, she can stay under for up to 3 minutes without taking another breath of air. Also, if feeling scared or threatened to a certain degree, acid laser type of things suddenly shoot from her fingers. Sometimes it causes her pain, other times it just scares her.

Kossiir

Wood elf

Male

Tall for an elf (5'4")

Thin (115lbs)

Kossiir is a bard, with a love for music that takes him to far away lands in search of new songs and adventures to write songs about. He wind up on this island when traveling with an adventuring group, in hopes of complete a heroic journey. A wicked storm came and devoured their ship. Kossiir is still not sure if he was the only one who survived or not, but is doubtful the others (with their strong legs and magics) could be dead. Alas, he is alone on this island with all the time in the world to practice his music.

Coolio. I probably should put Annika's height in as well... Then we can start...Do you want to start or should I?

Annika pushed her way through a few bushes that were positioned just before the sandy shore of the island. The rest of the island was just trees, but there was a beach right in front of her. Slowly she crept out and sat down in the sand with a sigh, staring out at the ocean.

Kossiir lay out in the sun, on top of a big flat stone that was part of a bluff that out looked the beach. He half hummed a tune to himself as he tried not to fall asleep in the comforting warmth. He had been swimming all morning, one of the few decent forms of exercise around here, and his muscles were sore but in a pleasant way. The tune was about sailors who were lost at sea, a beautiful tune, but such a sad tale, sometimes all you needed was a good tune for a song to live on. He had always dreamed of writing a song that could live on in legend for not only the tune, but the tale as well.

"I guess that's how I got here, isn't it?" He mused to himself, knowing no one would hear. Sometimes irony had to be said allowed, just so the message wasn't lost on himself. He looked at his bag, full of his most important items like his dagger, and continued the one sided conversation. "I wish I could share the humor that is my unfortunate life, but buddy, you are not the best company. How I wish for someone to tell all my stories to. Oh, it would be too much to hope for a romantic-eyed-lady to listed to a song or two. That would make my life far too much like a tale, but any set of ears would do me right." He sighed heavily and flopped over dramatically, sulking. One of the few benefits to being stranded here, where ever the hell that was, was how obnoxious he could be and there was no one to scold him for his theatrics.

Kossiir looked up at the sun and guessed it to be early afternoon, and figured he had best get out of the sun before he burned too badly. Sun poisoning was a nasty thing and he had no salves to cure it. Pulling his shirt back on, he slid down of the rocks and made his way back to the beach to sit under the shade of the trees that lined it. He watched blonde hair blow slowly in the cool ocean breeze, taken in by the poetic beauty of how flawlessly pale it was. That kind of hair only belonged to the sun elves, fair and flawless. He wondered what one would be doing out here-then realized he wasn't daydreaming about an elf. there really was one. right there. On his beach. Right now. the realization gave him so much hope that he almost face planted, but managed to catch him self on a tree.

He took that opportunity to 'play it cool' and leaned up against it casually, as if he had been waiting for this other elf to show up. He opened his mouth to speak, but stopped. In this moment his words would be most important. A bard had to impress-whether it be a companion a lady or a body guard at an inn- it was their duty to civilization to be impressive! Though this wasn't exactly civilization... So instead he leaned there, with a face contorted in indecision, and watched the Sun Elf's hair flow in the breeze.

Annika pulled her knees to her chest, just staring out silently at the waves. The wind blew her hair back away from her face, but she didn't mind. She rather likes the cool feeling of the wind on her face and arms. After a few minutes of sitting there she stood up, brushed herself off, and turned around. She had planned to go look for a little something to eat, but suddenly she was staring at another elf.

I didn't know there were others here...

She thought. Because she was so timid and shy (especially around new people!) her eyes widened and she slightly edged away, farther along the beach's water line. It wasn't that she was scared of him, or wanted to avoid him... But rather herself. She didn't want to risk blowing her first chance of meeting someone of her own kind, or so she thought.

When edging away, she was still watching him, as if wondering if he would ignore her, return her gaze, or follow her. She didn't know what she wanted out of the three.

The breeze kept that hair is a graceful dance until she stood and turned around. Kossiir forgot to breath for a few heart beats.

'SHE! Hark, indeed a lady!' He thought with astonishment and overstated poetics, thinking the gods had answered his prayers, and prayed to pray more often. It was a good thing he was leaning up against a tree, as surely the shock of her beauty would have made him fall over in his place. She looked him straight in the eye and he scrambled for words, but for got he hadn't been breathing. The tall tanned elf struggled for air as she started to back away from him, and forced words out of fear she would disappear and leave him alone again.

"Wait! I mean- please don't leave!" He broke into a run towards her, stopping with a safe distance between them. he didn't want to scare her, but wanted to prove his eyes weren't deceiving him. "Please, I have been shipwrecked here for - how many moons?- Oh its not important, just...Don't leave me here, abandoned like a bad dream." He groped for the right thing to say, failing in his endeavor.

When his eyes met hers she quickly avoided them, ducking her head down shyly. Because she had been edging away slowly, he easily caught up with her. She pursed her lips together and slightly raised her head, but didn't meet his eyes again. She wanted to say something, at least a simple 'Hello', but she couldn't get the words to leave her lips.

Did this guy really want to talk to her? Why? She began to play with her hands slightly out of nervousness.

'Oh, she looks nervious. I'm coming off too strong, again aren't I?' He thought, seeing her fingers move anxiously.

"I'm sorry, I've just been here-alone- for far too long. I've even started talking to my bag," he apologised, holding up the bag for emphasis. "I was startled your presence. I- I'm rambling again..." He sighed.

This was not how he wanted to greet the first person he had seen in the three months he'd been marooned here. He passed a hand through his hair.

"Let me start over, lady. I am Kossiir, young bard out to sea. Well, I was out to sea and ship wrecked." He bowed deeply and he said his name. "I am honored to find you here."

Her face slowly turned a light pink, then a rouge or red color. She was a little embarrassed now. why? She wasn't positive, but some of it was because she felt awkward, not talking. She also felt like a fool.

Here someone was, trying to be nice and friendly to her, and she couldn't even meet his eyes.

Now she felt rude, so she forced herself to speak, but most of it came out as hushed squeaks, "I'm Annika...Hi.."
((I will be gone till sunday. You can post if you'd like, I just won't be able to reply as soon as I usually do.))

Though he was still a little too overjoyed for the sudden company, he forced himself to play it cool. He smiled sweetly, if ever a bard could, at her words. He was glad to hear her voice-anyone's voice- especially so that she was willing to speak with him.

"Alright, Lady Annika, I am graced with your ears, as is all i could hope for. You needn't speak more than a request for me. I do so love my own voice," he said with a wink. "But to use it for your pleasure would be the greatest pleasure for me."

He passed over to the largest tree at the edge of the clearing, where he had stashed his violin. It was too delicate to store in his sack, he left it somewhere dry where it was least likely to get damaged. Getting his hand on it, he gestured with gusto. He began tuning it instantly, plucking the strings till they rung out the perfect pitch.

Finally prepared he beamed at her with a smile he had used to his benefit before-as with the travelers he'd sent out to sea with-then softened a bit, remembering her apparent shyness.

"Lady, what kind of song would you? A sad song surely not, a ballad may hapse? Or a light reel?" He lightly pulled his bow across the taught strings of his weathered instrument. "I find that when words are hard, songs are best."

Him being so friendly and talking so much only seemed to make her a little more uncertain of what to say, and she blushed. Someone really wanted to make her happy?

"I-uh... Anything would be wonderful." She managed to say, unsure of how any of the songs would sound. She hadn't heard any form of music for a very long time...Sometimes however, the scientists in the lab she had been trapped in would hum some sort of tune, or whistle.

Annika was impressed and quite curious about this stranger, and wished she wasn't so shy and timid. Then she wouldn't be stuttering over her few words, and fidgeting nervously.

He bowed deeply again, and brought the dark violin to his chin. The the sunlight the dark wood almost looked purple. He pulled the bow up, and after testing each string and making some minor tuning adjustments began to play a soft kind of Celtic reel. As he played he closed his eyes, lost in the music as he wove longer notes with quick fingerings. He swayed back and forth ever so slightly, at peace with himself and his beachy solitude all at the same time.

Though he didn't exactly thing while he played, he never really did (he believed in feeling the music to make it more real to the listener), but he felt glad to have a new set of ears to play for. He also hopped she would allow him to follow her about the island and play for her, mostly so he wouldn't have to be alone, but he also felt she could benefit from it as well.

She listened and watched him intently, very curious and impressed by his performance. After a little while of him playing, she didn't feel so nervous and awkward anymore, and a small smile played across her lips.

As he let the last few notes ring out into the ocean he opened his eyes to see Annika watching him, and better yet, she was smiling. An infectious kind of smile that made it impossible for him not to smile along with her. Kossiir dipped the violin down, but did not drop it from his shoulder. He eexamined her, and suddenly it dawned on him.

"Beg pardon, Lady, but what brings you here?" He looked around a bit, violin still at the ready."Is there some kind of settlement on this island I didn't know about? Or?" His voice trailed off realizing he was being a bit too nosy. He cursed at him self silently for not realizing that maybe she had a way off this island, or that there had been people this whole time, and he never discovered them.

"Uh. I don't think so... I was just left here.." She said in an awkward tone, as if she was fibbing a little. She still didn't make eye-contact either, but this time it wasn't just because she was really shy.

Kossiir raised an eyebrow. What did she know, clearly she wasn't comfortable with sharing it, but why? Was she protecting something or scared?

"Are we in some kind of danger, Lady Annika?" He said in a more serious tone, lowering his instrument from his shoulder.

Though he was still apprehensive, if what she knew didn't pose an immediate threat to them, he decided to let it go until she was more comfortable with talking about it.

"Would you tell me if we were in danger?" He posed it as if she were to do him a slight favor by sharing, rather than acting as if she was hiding something. "I will trust your word, but I cannot protect you if I don't know you need me to." He smiled widely.

"I guess it would just depend on the danger. Like, if a bee was chasing me, I might not." She shrugged. There was actually something much bigger and more personal that he couldn't help, and she didn't plan to ever ask or even tell him about it.

When she saw him smiling at her, the corners of her lips rose slightly, making her smile a little in return.

"Oh, if a bee were chasing you I may know about it by your retreat." he laughed at his own lame joke, but was glad she didn't seem on edge any more. He looked up at the bright sun. "I was actually about to take my leave into the shade, before I burn. Perhaps we should find something to eat, and I can play you another tune?"

"Ok." She agreed, Another small smile graced her face at his joke. (Short.)

(Hey, also I may be a little less attentive for a while. They were supposed to come set up my internet, but never did, and I'm running out of data on my phone, so I need to use it less. Just wanted to give a heads up that I'm not ignoring or leaving, just struggling with internet providers. lol)
