Hi there, I'm Iron and I don't know how to code. But plain text should be more than enough to get my point across. I'm currently looking for 1-2 new AoT RPs. I'm slightly a they/them slightly over 30 and a very busy bee. But RPs are my favorite hobby — have been since I was 10. That’s more than two decades by now, wow!

I’m happy to play as either character for both ships!
And that's all! Feel free to shoot me a message if you're interested : )
About my RP style and expectations
- Post length? Dynamic. Long, detailed starters require more words. Short dialogue scenes require less. Anything from 100 to 1000+ words. I post fairly often, but I have a busy life, and there are days I don't go online at all.
- I cherish two things about RPing. First is the emotional depth carried over from the fanfic genre. I love delving into a character’s emotions, their biased and flawed way of perceiving the world, exploring everything that makes them them. And the second is its collaborative nature. Us building this together. These two are my focus, then, in every post: my character, on the one hand, and interacting with yours, on the other.
- Symbolism, themes, allegories, analogies, metaphors, overarching development? My jam. Feed it to me, right into my hungry, hungry mouth. Speaking of hunger, here is a theme I adore: Rotting worlds, decaying societies, the irresistible beauty of the slow fade into ruins, characters raging against the dying of the light, acts that shine all the brighter for being stuck to the abyssal darkness of the universe? Yes. Yes. Yes. Some other themes I adore writing about: identity (!); complicated relationships with the culture-specific expectations of society; the burden of duty; obsession & devotion & worship; (internalized) homophobia; fear & aggression & violence; curiosity & kindness; the line between selflessness and the dissolution of the ego; and I’m sure I forgot a dozen at least.
- I love ships, I love shipping, I love building intricate relationships between our characters and relishing in the emotional catharsis. Romance or angst, fluff or unhealthy relationships, devotion and drama and toxicity and obsession: as long as the dynamic between the characters is engaging and interesting, I'm all over it. I’m picky with dynamics - very picky - but on the other hand, that means that once I love a ship, I really, truly adore it with all my heart.
- I'm happy to share a writing sample with you in the early stages of our plotting.
- Ghost-friendly, super chill and relaxed in OOC communication.
- Please be older than 21 years, preferably older than 25. Join me while we’re plotting. Come to me with your ideas! I am of the yes, and mindset of improvisation theater: I’ll take your ideas and build on them! Write when you want to write, talk to me as much or as little as you want to — in short: be comfortable. This is our hobby, yours and mine, and I want us both to have a good time. We deserve it!

They are currently my #1 favorite! Both characters have such depth — which multiplies in their relationship. I adore a lot of aspects about them.
There’s a certain inevitably doomed melancholy to them — which makes the idea of breaking out of this inevitability all the more attractive.
They’re clearly and utterly devoted to each other: A kind of closeness that borders on ‘us against the world’ and all the unspoken intimacy that brings with it. Even (especially) for two men who resist vulnerability.
They have certain roles to fulfill, shouldering burdens and expectations from others en masse. And they do it together.
And lastly, the ‘charismatic general x his loyal attack dog with mutual respect for each other’ dynamic is always... chef’s kiss.
A canon-divergent post-canon option is an all-time favorite for me: Carving out meaning for themselves in a world they never thought they'd see — together. The melancholy of an almost obliterated world. Broken men in a broken world and, finally, an opportunity to find peace.
But I’m also more than happy to explore ‘hidden moments’ in canon between them. Maybe there’s something to celebrate, or a death to mourn, and there's too much alcohol imbibed, and certain things happen that shouldn't have happened — and now they have to deal with the consequences?
Usually, I steer clear of stories set outside of the canon universe. But I could see these two in AUs: simply a historical AU, WWI or late 19th century soldiers or something like that.

With those two, I’d love to explore the highly canon-divergent scenario “What if Bertold survives and they return to Marley together?” (With or without Eren. Depends on what we’re planning to do.)
Us fleshing out both characters and developing their comrades-in-arms relationship.
Their guilt of leaving Annie behind vs the relief of being home. The reality of living in a hellish place that's Marley — especially after they tasted a different life on Paradis — as living weapons.
Nobody but you could ever understand, and all the desperation that arises from this.

I love Jean very much! This is because I’ve watched AoT and have good taste. I wanna explore what happens to him post-canon! Vague ideas about him with one of the surviving Marleyans. Or one of the surviving people in the world, I suppose. Maybe even someone from Paradis, years down the line.
And that's all! Feel free to shoot me a message if you're interested : )
