We will be beginning at the turn of the century. Thank you for the tip. However, Chile is a spanish protectorate, but the Spain player will let you play Chile as a protectorate.

If allowed I will claim the Osage nation, which occupied lands represented as this map as of the late 17th century and worked with the French; population was estimated to be around 7-8000 people in 1800 and their main village had Fort Carondelet built by French fur trappers while the area was still Spanish (1795).
