  i'll never be able to overstate how much i love this series. i've seen the movies and read all of the books (including the ballad of songbirds and snakes).​

  
  ✧ for canon/oc, i'd love to write an oc across from finnick odair and am happy to double up as anyone—canon or oc! i'd like for any canon/oc plots that take place during canon to bring some fresh ideas and twists to the table. i'll need to be swayed into considering a complete AU setting since i'm mostly interested in exploring panem, but i'm not beyond negotiations.
  
  i'm also happy to try my hand at characters from the ballad of songbirds and snakes (i see you coryo girlies and lads), but would prefer separate storylines, or an oc/oc pairing on my part.

  ✧ for oc/oc, i'm totally open! i'd love to write a canon-divergent AU in which we plot out our own hunger games (ideally one that coincides with the quarter quell), but i'm also fine with other settings and premises such as exploring more of what citizenship is like in the capital, exploring the careers of the peacekeepers, or digging deeper into district 13's comeback. honestly, i love this universe so much that i can probably be talked into most things, but here's a few general ideas as potential talking points:

  alright, so i do need to admit that i've kinda fell off the mcu train in recent days. i'm familiar with most of the films and tv shows except: she-hulk, werewolf by night, guardians of the galaxy vol 3 (this will change soon). i think i only saw the first two seasons of daredevil and agents of shield, and the first season of iron fist and agent carter. maybe five episodes of the runaways and the first two or three episodes of cloak and dagger. idk, it's been a hot minute. i've seen most of the x-men movies, and some of the old cartoons (big hype for '97). i've also seen all the spider-man, venom, deadpool movies.

  let me preface this by saying: i love this series for what it was to my younger self and what it could be, not the gross mess that it is right now. that aside, i've seen the movies and read the books (minus the cursed child, which i will never read) and am slowly working my way through hogwarts legacy!
  
  i'm interested in exploring most eras (founders, grindelwald, riddle, marauders, golden trio, etc.), but i'm admittedly not too keen on a next-gen cast following the golden trio. i'm also open to the idea of fleshing out some of the other magic schools (specifically ilvermorny, durmstrang, and beauxbaton), but would prefer to keep to hogwarts for the main school setting, if there is one.​

  
  ✧ for canon/oc, i'd love to write across from harry and/or draco, charlie weasley, regulus black, or sebastian sallow. i'd also like to note that i'm not terribly fond of aging characters up just for the sake of romance, nor do i want to make hogwarts into a university. post-canon plots are an option, though!

    • i'm open to writing characters from all houses but ravenclaw and slytherin are my favorites.
  • random idea that just came to my mind as i wrote the previous line: hufflepuff student and a ghost that's still trying to figure out how they died. could be a former hogwarts student or even just a ghost that ended up at hogwarts somehow. i just think it could be fun to put a more supernatural spin on things and do more with the ghosts, paintings, and peeves! neither student's house are set in stone, btw!

  i've seen all of both series multiple times! currently working my way through all the comics with the novels next on my TBR. still haven't seen the live action show! ​

  
  ✧ for canon/oc, i'd love to write across either zuko and/or mako. i have some ideas i'd really like to play out, so i'll describe those in the spoiler below. i'm happy to write as any character, but would like to note that i'd love to write for azula, sokka, or bolin.

  for ATLA:
  my ATLA OC is a waterbender from the northern water tribe. if we're following the canon storyline, the gaang will encounter her in the foggy swamp. following the war, she'll be pressured to return home and assume the role of the new northern water tribe princess in the hopes of tightening political structures. which makes things a bit more difficult if there's something of a situationship between her and the new fire lord. not to mention that the north hasn't forgiven the fire nation for the attack that cost the life of the previous princess. so, yeah. this is going to be very political and full of drama and my other wish is to really dive into the political mess of the fire nation too, following zuko's ascension. i'd also, really, really love to do more with azula here, whether we give her a redemption arc or follow her further into madness i just can't see her not being a major player in all these developments. i also want tons of uncle iroh and the rest of the gaang. oh, and the cabbage man, too.
  
  also open to starting with earlier canon events as well!
  
  for LoK:
  my LoK OC would be the granddaughter of my ATLA OC, and therefore, the daughter of izumi and younger sister of iroh. the fire nation never completely came around to her grandparents' marriage, given that her grandmother took ill and died young. so she's been posing as a non-bender all her life while dabbling in waterbending secretly. her story kicks off when she decides to stow away on her brother's ship to visit republic city. beyond that, i'd love to eventually dabble into more politics by later arranging a political engagement between her and wu and shoving mako into the middle of it.

  
  ✧ for oc/oc, i'd probably have an easier time listing what i'm not super keen on doing. i'd like to keep the lore and power scaling of the avatar intact. as in, nobody else can wield more than one element, and the avatar is always one person. i'd also prefer to keep to the avatar cycle in that the next avatar following korra (if we choose to involve canon at all) would be someone from the earth kingdom (or maybe republic city?). apart from that, i'm pretty open! here are a few potential talking points:
  

  • a member of the dai li is tasked with hunting down the new avatar for the earth monarchy
  • the new avatar lacks a single motivated bone in their body and has to be dragged across the world by their reluctant babysitter
  • republic city turf wars/probending rivalry shenanigans/metalbending cop vs rogue
  • doing more with the restoration of the air nomads/air temple
  • exploring a future era where technology now challenges the necessity of the existence of bending (aka rebel benders vs big machines)
  • classic rag tag group of friends help the avatar save the world
  • twist on the chosen one trope where the avatar is killed prematurely, and someone else has to take a stand to try to bring order to the world
  • or we can go a different route and follow a guardian figure doing their damnedest to keep the young avatar alive

  i love the idea of mechas fighting big monsters and exploring the drift compatibility system between pilots. for anyone unfamiliar with the series, it takes two individuals to (safely) pilot the mechs and they need to be "drift compatible" (a phenomenon that isn't predetermined by whatever relationship does or does not currently exist between two people). while piloting the mech, both individuals minds are synced, meaning they're able to access each other's thoughts, feelings, and memories. so there's a battlefield within the mech as well as outside of it and the potential is endless!
  
  ✧ here's some ideas we can build off of:
  

  • half of a famous pilot duo died a year or two before the start of the story. the one remaining has insisted on "piloting solo" which has taken an immense toll on them over the years, leaving them a shell of their former self. one day, an outsider (maybe they're an outlaw) is brought in because an algorithm determined them to be drift compatible with the remaining pilot.
  • two rivals at a military academy are confirmed as drift compatible
  • two pilots each lose their respective partners in a major battle and are forced to drift together when only one of their mechs remains functional
    • bonus points if these two have some...unresolved feelings and issues.
