Realistic or Modern 1700s French Supernatural/Magic Academy Lore (Elements of Steampunk)

In 1700s France, Humans and Supernatural Races live together in a society that uses Steampunk/Magical Hybrid technology.
The year is 1743.

Section I: The world around us
The Skyfleet​

What is the skyfleet? The skyfleet is France's Aerial Military consisting of warblimps, dreadnoughts and flying birds, The skyfleet consists of 300 Pilots, Captains, and a number of magineers who maintain the ships and animals.

The skyfleet has protected the nation since The Great War I.E Section 2 Important Things. As the mainforce that protected the nation, saving e Prime Minister himself, The Skyfleet achieved fame, being revered by the citizens of France

Most young kids dream about joining the skyforce, there is a certain thought that adventure awaits in the skyforce.

The Skyfleet also protects the nation from the badlands to the West. A land inhabited by dark swamps and karshes and home to The Darklings, a race of evil creatures who seek to destroy the country.

The Prime Minister and The Government​

France, or as it is known as, The French Armada is ruled by A Representative Government in which a prine minister is elected, along with a court of law. Very similar to modern day european governments. The Prime Minister has the ability to negate laws but is able to be overruled by2/3 vote of the court of law, The court of law is allowed to vote on laws to be passed but only citizens may bring up a law to be passed or removed.

France is Also broken into three provinces run each by a govenor with limited power to run day to day tasks and general things to keep each province secure.
The Prime Minister currently is Victoria Ives who was elected two years ago and will remain in office for another 4 years unless reelected.

Provincial Schools​

France has three provinces,
Northwall, the northern most province and home to the mining province. Northwall handles metallurgy, banking, mining and engineering.
Fairview School of Fine Arts is Northwall's School.

Anthermene, The middle province, home to the farming province, Anthermen handles farming, animal training, resource developement, Aquaducts and other things. Providence Academy is Anthermene's School. Our story takes place at providence academy


Southker, the research province, Home to the research of magic and steampunk technology, Southker contains the great library and handles magical and steampunk research. Falkreach Institute is Southker's School.

Each Province contains a school of pedigree, The pride of each school. Those who excell in previous education or are recommended are allowed at this school however most of the alumnus are generally born of nobility from a noble house or high ranking positions.

The amount of noble houses is unknown, as there are dozens upon dozens of them.

section II: Technology, Magic, and other.


Magic​

The world uses magical and steampunk technology.

Most pf the steampunk is developed by Southker, Southker is extremely famous for it's work in magical and diesel technology across the world. If one is interested in developing future spells or technology, then ones best bet is apply to one of the many companies in southker.

Uses of steampunk include blimps, automatons, steam trains, clockworks, steamcars, etc.

Uses of magic include pyromancy, life magic, death magic, Diviner magic, etc.

Vampires are creatures of the night historically. Although in light of recent events they have been allowed to appear during the day. After the great war spells were placed in cities allowing them to be unharmed by solar light in the cities.

Vampires possess great physical speed and strength. They are classified as supernatural and not magical. They do not possess magical powers. They also have enhanced senses.

Elves are magical beings, similar to humans, they have average physical prowess and innate magical adeptness. They can practice any school of magic although most lack the raw willpower humans possess. They also possess great beauty among the races and a certain elegance.

Fairies are also magical beings and possess weak physical prowess, they however are the most powerful in magical capabilities. They are second in beauty to the elves.

Humans possess average physical prowess and above average magical capbility, they have the highest willpower among any race. They can be driven to learn spells that most would give up on.

Werewolves posess immense physical prowess. They have incredible strength and above average speed. Their senses exceed even vampires although their ability to think rationally during their transformed state is limited, although some are better than others at it. Werewolves posess no magic.

Merfolk possess above average physical prowess and below average magical capbilities. They often are limited to a handful of spells and rely on the mixture of physical and magical skills for combat. They posess a certain affinity for charm and water magic.

Nymphs posess high magical skills, second to fairies and below average physical prowess, they are very good at mastery of elemental magic.

Goblins posess poor magical and physical capabilities, they however are masters at steamwork and machinations.
