welcome to rosewood heights
Rosewood Heights is located in quaint and picturesque Vermont. Established in 1891, Rosewood Heights has been the home to generations of families, many of the townspeople being raised on produce from the local farmers and keeping warm with clothing from the local artisans before meeting someone, settling down, and raising their own families. Rosewood Heights is a community that takes care of its own, like a place trapped in time and untouched by the world around it. Even those who eventually move away claim to leave a piece of themselves in Rosewood Heights forever.
Peacefully, Rosewood Heights has sat in the valley, a hidden gem amongst the trees and farms, undisturbed until two years ago a new company moved into town: Summit Vision Developing.
Summit has one goal: get the land by buying out the townspeople and turn Rosewood Heights into a shell of what it was and instead, make it another copy-paste modern town. This, of course, has not gone unnoticed. People are protesting Summit's presence in town from the moment they bought out the old Main Street Theatre and tore the building to the ground. Without some outside help though, or with the right influence, it seems like the quaint people of Rosewood Heights will be chased out and their homes demolished.
In the centre of town sits an old fire station, one that had served Rosewood Heights back when firefighters drove horse-drawn fire engines. As the town grew, the demand for a larger station grew too and thus, the 14th Avenue Fire Hall sat abandoned. For years, the place collected dust and seemed to be falling down around its frame. Some of the townspeople wanted to tear down the eyesore right in the middle of town, more townspeople demanded that it be restored. Still, with no funding and no real reason to fix the building up, it sat collecting dust.
As Summit settled in a few years ago, a for sale sign went up in front of the fire hall. The townspeople were terrified that the place was going to be bought out and torn down. 14th Avenue was purchased, only this time by the mayoress herself. With her own money, the mayoress fixed up the building and turned it into a communal living space. The word got out to the young people, those who had left or moved on from their childhoods in Rosewood Heights, and many of them returned.
Our story begins with a group of twenty somethings returning to their hometown to live in 14th Avenue together. Will they be able to save the town, or will the beauty that is Rosewood Heights be swallowed up by time?
Hey there, thanks for reading! This RP is going to follow a set of characters that previously grew up/spent a lot of time in Rosewood Heights living in the old firehall. They all would have grown up together and moved on for whatever reason, now returning to help restore the town or perhaps for another reason entirely! The story will also follow a cast of townspeople in the same age bracket living their lives and trying to protect their town.
This rp is essentially slice of life meets small town meets drama! There will be plot to follow as well as plenty of downtime to let your characters live their best (or worst) lives.
If any of this interests you, please let us know down below and we'll be in touch!

14th Avenue Fire Hall
The 14th Avenue Firehall was in faithful service for many years until the growth of the town demanded a newer, more state-of-the-art building be built. The old firehouse sat empty for many years until it was purchased and turned into a communal living house. The Firehall is located on 14th Avenue, in town centre. It is within walking distance to the Town Hall and the Heights Market Square.

Paper & Cup Library
A star of the downtown core, the Paper & Cup Library is a go to spot for comfort. Lined wall to wall with books of all shapes and sizes, both new and old, the owners of the shop keep a wide variety of books, magazines, comics, and even movies on hand. If youโre looking for media, Paper & Cup either has it or can get it for you. People can also purchase books and other media mediums through the shop. The second floor is entirely a library. The first floor, however, hosts a small cafe and several reading nooks. Some say that Paper & Cup has the best coffee in Rosewood Heights. The store is owned by couple Morgan and Zoe Harper, two Rosewood locals.
hotel
Rose Petal Inn
One of the oldest buildings in town, the Rose Petal Inn was originally the house of the family that founded Rosewood Heights. The building has undergone several updates since then, temporarily serving as town hall, then a museum, and now finally Rose Petal Inn. The building sits just inside of town on a large property. It contains twelve bedrooms, a dining hall, and a living room amongst other locations. The Inn also has many historical artifacts from the area in it as the museum had sold them with the building. The joint is now run by an elderly couple named Betty and Gus Lawson.

Rosewood Heights Town Hall
The Rosewood Heights Town Hall is an old building that has recently been redone. Although small, the building certainly suits the townโs size and need for a town centre. Hosting only a few offices, the mayor can be found here as well as a few other town officials. As a lot of the paperwork and legal stuff is done by their township, Town Hall is often used for planning events, filling out paperwork, and slapping people on the wrist for infractions.
