Kind and loyal
kyung-wan is very much so human focused. He often considers how others are feeling and makes his decisions based on that. He has an optimistic view point when it comes to people. He likes to believe that there is good in everyone. This attitude makes it easier for him to stay loyal to his friends even if they make mistakes.
Outgoing
People person 110%. Any party, he is there. Drinks after work, basketball game, or just a quiet dinner at home, he always likes to be with people. Kyung-wan especially loves to plan a party. He is often the person who makes plans for a someone's birthday two months in advance. When party time comes, he likes for everyone to enjoy themselves. He is easy going and fun to talk to. He likes to make other laugh.
Practical and dependable
The man was always neat and tidy. At the age of 5 he had and organizational system for his stuffed animals. He keeps his desk neat at work and his apartment clean. When he says he will do something, consider it done. Kyung-wan will follow through on every promise to the best of his ability. He double checks and triple checks his work.
Enjoys helping others
His friend group jokingly calls him eomma from time to time. He likes to take care of others. He will often stay to clean up after a party, bring soup over to a sick friend, buy flowers for the older woman who lives in the apartment next to him, etc. He finds any way he can to make people's lives just a little bit easier. This carries over into his job. He has created an after school program to help students who are struggling in his, and other teachers, classes. He will do anything to help his students to achieve their full potential.
[div class=tag]Weaknesses[/div]
Too Altruistic
Kyung-wan often puts himself second. Others always come before his own feelings. He will shoulder any responsibility possible for others. He often weighs his own success on the success of others. So when others fail, he views it as his fault. It is hard for him to reach out for help, believing he can fix every problem in every person, and then over works himself to death.
Approval-seeking
He loves to be liked by others. He puts a lot of pressure on himself to look and act the perfect part. When he falls short of perfection, it frustrates him. To have someone disapprove of him, it hurts. Instead of getting sad or down, he often becomes angry and frustrated. He almost wants to force feed them until they have at least some positive feeling towards him. He especially doesn't like to appear as different or stand out in any negative way.
Sensitive to criticism
It isn't often he gets upset over little things, in fact, he lets most things slide. Kyung-wan though, has very strong morals and likes to stick to tradition. So when someone criticizes his character or tells him that what he believes is wrong, that is a fool proof way to rub him the wrong way. Attack his family or his cherished beliefs and you are bound to get him upset.
Rash
Kyung-wan often focuses on the feelings of here and now. This is good in some ways since he is able to make a quick decision, but it also can get him into trouble. He doesn't have a problem telling others when they have stepped too far into his boundaries. He will make it clear when he can't let something slide. He may be sensitive to others and want to please others, but he isn't a pushover. Later he often regrets most of things he says in the heat of the moment, especially when he hurts someones feelings.
[div class=tag]likes[/div]
Cooking- Kyung-wan remembers cooking with his mom vividly. He was actually a better cook than his dad was and made most of the meals for the family after his mom had passed.
Teaching- Passing knowledge to young minds is truly his passion. He will teach as long as he is able to. While it has its frustrating moments, Kyung-wan finds his job to be really rewarding.
Parties and outings- Drinking with friends, movie nights, dinner parties, weddings, and more. He will often try and snag an invite to something most nights. He can't stay away from people too long.
Basketball- He played all throughout high school and college. Now him and his friends are able to play in the gym at his school every other Friday. Other than his morning run, it's a way he stays fit.
[div class=tag]dislikes[/div]
Staying put- Kyung-wan is an extrovert in almost the purest sense. He always has to be busy doing something. To be forced to sit still and do nothing is terrible.
Careless driving- After what happened to his mother, he never let any of his friends drive drunk or go over the speed limit.
Injustice- Of course, no normal person likes injustice. But the man has very strong morals and hates anyone being mistreated.
Mess- He cannot stand a messy house, office, or appearance. He likes to look presentable in public and he likes everything neat and orderly.
Artificial fruit smells- You know those candles that smells supposedly like fruit punch or the perfume that "smells" like strawberries. Well, he hates them. They always give him a headache.
[div class=tag]fears[/div]
His greatest fear is that even if he puts himself through this contract, his sister will still die. That his best efforts may not be good enough.
On a lighter note, he is afraid of bees since he is kinda allergic.

[div class=tag]history[/div]
Kyung-wan was born to his two loving parents in Daegu, South Korea. The couple had been married for five years and had finally decided to start a family. The couple had a small house that was set above the business that they owned. His appa ran a cleaning business with his eomma doing sowing and alteration work. The small office and show room were perfect for their needs. Their home was tiny, a little broken, but it was warm and inviting. Things were always a little tight monetarily, but they never went without their needs. About six years after Kyung-wan was born, his younger sister, Kyung-sun, was brought into the world. He was incredibly excited to be an older brother. He loved his sister the moment he saw her and immediately started to call her Sunnie, because she was such a cute and happy baby. The family was happy.
Tragedy struck them when Kyung-wan was 10 and Kyung-Sun was 4. One night, the family had somehow ran out of ramen and the two kids begged their mom for some. Being the wonderful eomma she was, Kyung-sook happily went down to the convenient store just a short walk away from their home. She should have been back in a few minutes. But when she hadn't come home for over a hour, their appa started to worry. When they had heard a knock on the door, something was obviously wrong. There were two police officers waiting to tell them that Kyung-Sun had been involved in an accident. On her way home, a drunk driver had sped through the cross walk and hit her. She had been admitted to the hospital, but things looked grim. She didn't make it through the night.
After that, things got harder for the family. Ha-sun had to work twice as hard to provide for his children, and they didn't have their eomma to take care of them. Kyung-wan did his best at such a young age to step into a caretaker role for his baby sister. He kept himself busy through the trauma of loosing his mother, telling himself she wouldn't want him to be sad for too long. Through middle school he struggled a bit to juggle helping out at home and his school work. His appa realized that the family couldn't keep going like this if he wanted the best for his children. Ha-sun's parents lived in Incheon where he was born and grew up. When Kyung-wan was 15, they moved close his grandparents so that they could help out. This allowed the boy to really focus on school. He was even able to join the basketball team.
He had realized fairly early in his life that he loved math and science. Kyung-wan had the dreams to become a teacher by the time he graduated high school. He got into a good university, receiving scholarships for both academics and basketball. He began studying with a double major or Teaching and Chemistry. He graduated with his bachelor's in both and got hired at a local high school where he was able to stay close to his family. He completed his masters degree while working, and now has been teaching for two years.
Just 6 months ago, Kyung-sun was diagnosed with an aggressive form of Leukemia at age 19. Without strong, and expensive, treatment she would die. Kyung-wan and his appa scraped up all the money they could to pay for it. Their best wasn't anywhere near what they needed. Ha-sun had been hired to clean some offices by a former classmate of his who had become a massive CEO. They went out to dinner one night, just to catch up a little. After Mr. Han had learned about the Im family troubles, he wanted to help them out. Being a businessman, though, meant he would only help them at a price. A contractual marriage between his daughter Mi-so and Kyung-wan. At first Ha-sun tried to convince Kyung-wan not to, but he couldn't pass up the opportunity. He'd do absolutely anything to help his beloved sister. Even marry the spoiled rich brat Mi-so.

[div class=tag]Important Relationships[/div]
Im Kyung-Sook|Eomma (died at age 37)- Kyung-wan really looked up to his mother. She was warm and friendly with everyone. She was always helpful. She taught him to always put his best foot forward. Her laugh was infectious, her smile was bright, and her happy-go-lucky spirit always made him feel better. So when his eomma died, he wanted to do the best he could to fill the whole she left in their family. He wanted to be just like her because she had made him so happy. He wanted everyone to feel the way she made him feel. He still misses her even if it's been almost 16 years since she's died. The anniversary of her death is always the hardest day of the year for him.
Im Ha-Sun|Appa (54)- Ha-sun is an incredibly hardworking man. He learn a lot from his father. He tried his best in everything he did. He was always supportive, while a little withdrawn, Kyung-wan tried his best every day to make his appa smile. The man was always doing something, whether it was a cleaning job, a parent teacher conference, repairing whatever had broken in their shabby home. As Kyung-wan got older, they became closer. His appa is a probably the best listener he knows and is an easy person to talk to. He knows that Ha-sun didn't exactly love the idea of him marring Mi-so. Though, he's trying his very best to put on a brave face for his son.
Im Kyung-Sun|Dongsaeng (19)- Kyung-wan has a very close relationship with his little sister. Often times it was him who took care of her since their appa was busy with work. He helped to get ready for school, packed her lunch, helped her with homework, and read her to sleep. He affectionately calls her Sunnie, not just because it is cute but she is the sunshine in his life. Sunnie is one of those infectious personalities. Even if she is going through so much physically, she doesn't allow it to stop her mentally. She is still as positive and hopeful as she has ever been. He talks to her, by text or phone call, almost every day. He can't help but worry about her, Kyung-wan basically raised her.
Kim Man-Seok|Hyung/Best Friend (28)- Man-seok and Kyung-wan met in college. He was studying physics and applied sciences and the pair ended up in a high level chemistry class together. Man-seok, although older and extremely smart, had a bit of trouble with the course since it had been awhile since he had taken a chemistry course. So, naturally, Kyung-wan helped him out. They became really close after that. His hyung helped him a lot through college, giving him pep talks as he needed them. They both like basketball so they started to play together to let off steam. Man-seok is the only person other than his appa and Sunnie to know that his marrige to Mi-so is fake. Actually, his hyung had tried to get him to back out of it before he did anything stupid. Still, he understood how desperate Kyung-wan had been to help Sunnie, so he has helped him cover up with the rest of their friends.
Baek Hyo-Joo|She's..uh..special (25)- Where does he start with Hyo-Joo? They have known each other for quite some time actually. She was a young librarian working at the same high school as him. The two had only really talked in passing until one night when they all went out after a school wide meeting. The pair really hit it off and became fast friends. They had been friends for about three years. Until recently Kyung-wan realized he really liked Hyo-joo and wanted to tell her. That was when his sister was diagnosed and this whole contractual wedding happened. Kyung-wan wasn't able to tell Hyo-Joo that he's has had strong feelings for her for a long time. Part of him wants to tell her the whole story so that when this whole thing is said and done (if she actually likes him back), they'd be able to get together. That is if she's willing to wait for him.
Han Mi-so|Wife..apparently (age)- After hearing about her character from others, Kyung-wan knew this was going to be difficult. Not only was she spoiled, but she was also a jerk. He tries he best to be nice to her. She has a knack for finding all his anger buttons and pressing them. Over and over again. The worst part is he has to act all lovey dovey with her in public like they are a real couple. For the most part he just wants her to leave him alone, but alas, she is his wife. On paper anyways. He can already tell this will be the longest year of his life

[div class=tag]attire[/div] Kyung-Wan's style is mostly dictated by his job. He's mostly seen in a button down with dress pants and a nice pair or shoes. On his off days he likes sweaters and jackets, especially when it's cold outside. He normally keeps his dress pants, on occasion he will wear jeans, and chooses a t-shirt to 'dress down'. While he never had a lot of money, he always tried he best to look put together and sharp. When at home, though, a sweatshirt and a pair of sweatpants are just fine.

[div class=tag] body modifications [/div] despite the gossip, Mi-so has yet to enter a plastic surgery clinic, the only body modification being her ear piercings.
[div class=tag] clothing style [/div] her love for opulence is reflected in her wardrobe. It's a dress extravaganza, her preference clearly going to the pieces that exhibit her affluence. A breakfast at Tiffany's flair with an extensive jewellery collection. Mi-so is unafraid to be seen and dresses to turn heads everywhere she goes, doesn't matter the occasion. Even within the comforts of her home, the woman holds her appearance up to a certain par. Never could she be seen wearing slacks such as sweat pants or oversized sweaters. These are clothing items she wouldn't even want to be found dead in. Elegance holds the standard, as it should be.

An enigma of a woman and a rose with many thorns. Her soul can be a vortex; pulling you in without awareness and suddenly, you are stuck into a cycle that you can't seem to break. But that's okay, because it's paradise there. Everything is beautiful, brimming of wonder, and you are attracted to that mist of mystery lingering about. It's your own wonderland and you are so entranced by it that you want to stay - even if it slowly drives you mad. Her persona can alter on the whim though, especially if you get too close. Mi-so is an expert in holding people at arms-length while making them believe to be close to her. A carrier of unfathomable confidence and selfish to an extent that she's not afraid to throw people to the wolves if it means survival. Life is a game and she intends to stay 1st place, using everything at disposal.
Her intimidating mien and mastery in complimenting and insulting you at the same time has not gained her many favourable opinions and truth may be that most of her social circle only remain because of social obligations. Mi-so is not a sparer of feelings and is known to be brutal with her commentary, but it's not her fault people are so sensitive, right? Aside from the requisite social events and work, the woman rarely leaves the house. She has built a castle of isolation and crowned herself queen, finding most social activities to be a waste of time. Her work ethic is debatable. Rather than burdening herself with so many tasks, Mi-So uses her charms and beauty to have people 'aid' her so to speak. In other words, she lets them figure it out while she treats herself on a shopping spree. This does not mean she is careless about her work however; she still demands perfection performance-wise and if her standards are not met, a berating will surely follow. Mi-so is a temperamental girl and doesn't set herself above throwing a tantrum to express her annoyance.
A person too jealous, too sharp, too passionate and with never enough regret. A lover of opulence and all things sparkling. Independent to the core and does well convincing herself she doesn't need any people. But maybe, maybe there's more than meets the eye. Maybe Mi-so is not as materialistic and void of empathy as she leads on... It's a mystery yet to be unravelled, but are you prepared to handle the answer?

Mi-so was born on a cold winter's eve. Her parents were esteemed members of society and their union a result of arranged marriage. It was not only meant to be a merger of families but also companies. Her grandfather from her father's side had long eyed a coalition between the two hotel chains to strengthen their position in the market and cut the competition short of demand and a marriage was what it took to seal the deal. Fortunately for them, it turned out to be successful. The Han family grew in wealth as their hotel chain secured the top spot and any future born children were to be promised a life full of riches and opulence.
A promise kept true. Mi-so was treated like a princess from the moment she breathed her first breath. Her parents made sure she got top tier education by hiring private tutors and saddling the kid up with as many extracurricular activities as possible. Her father was mostly absent but made sure to compensate it with many luxurious gifts. Her mother stayed at home, though, and showered the little girl with so much motherly affection it could become overbearing. You could say Mi-so had the best of both worlds; wealth and affection. If only it could stay that way..
Mi-so was eight years old when her mother was diagnosed with an incurable disease. The doctors said they could extend her life-span for at least six more years, but that, ultimately, they were unable to save her mother's life. Mi-so doesn't remember much of that day, except for the fact that she had never seen her parents cry before.. but she can't forget the tears streaming down both of their faces.
Mi- so was fourteen when she had to say goodbye to her mother. She passed away in her sleep. The funeral was a blur in the mind, the messages of sympathy and condolences all merging together into one great heap of empathy she could not deal with. Mi-so remembers being angry, angry at the people for offering their thoughts and sympathies like that. It was easy for them, as bystanders of the bereaved, to accept that the passing of her mother was a sad occurrence. They could go on with their lives, content in their knowledge they'd done a good thing - being a goddamn human being. They didn't have to deal with the raw pain, the emptiness and the loss. And that made her bitter.
Mi-so was sixteen when she fell hopelessly in love. He was not of the same status, but that didn't matter for he was the most wonderful human being she had ever met. The best thing? He fell in love with her too.
Mi-so was seventeen years old when her father remarried. It was quick, way too quick for her liking, and she resented the woman and her stupid son for inserting themselves into the family like that. It didn't help that her father started to invest more time in them rather than his own daughter either.
Mi-so was eighteen when she let the 'i love you,' slip from her lips for the first time. She was currently studying abroad in France, it was 4 AM. and she was severely sleep-deprived. But that didn't matter either, because he returned those words, and Mi-so felt like the happiest girl in the universe.
Mi-so was twenty years old when her heart got broken. She had just returned from her study abroad, only to find out her boyfriend had cheated on her and was actually only after her money. Asshole. It was that shattered heart that led to a vow to protect herself from future pain and heartache. And one she still lives by today.
