The story takes place in Seoul, Korea throughout many of the different districts. On occasion we may leave the setting to attend storylines in other parts of Korea or even other countries. In real life, Gwanak is the district where Seoul National University is located. This is why I chose Gwanak as the district in which Jeguk University will be located. The members of F4 as well as the wealthy maidens can have their own private estates to stay at, or may own luxury condos/lofts within the city. The less wealthy characters *cough* the lotus *cough* could have dorm housing, share an apartment with some roommates/friends, or live with her family in the city.
Jeguk University 제국대학교 (Empire University)
Located in the Gwanak district in Seoul, Korea, Jeguk University is among the top universities in Asia. It is known for it's all-around high quality education, specifically in business and digital media. With such high prestige, Jeguk has an acceptance rate of less than 6%, and even after managing to get in, most students struggle to afford the tuition costs. The majority of the students are children of the wealthy or upper-middle class, although Jeguk offers 25 scholarships every year, ranging in cost, as a pittance to the economically less fortunate. The children who attend are generally bred into the school, raised going to Jeguk private elementary, middle and high schools. The waiting list to get into Jeguk primary schools is endless.
