The Heart yearns for what it cannot have.
The story has an Abrahamic premise with content/borrowings from the Abrahamic faith's continuity.
In the Beginning...
There was Naught and Aught-- two forces, one above the other hovering over the Empty, Watery Void. Speaking into Darkness, YH*H commanded the birth of Light and thus the Heavens and the Earth were created, formed from the formless Darkness and the Void.. YH-H said, let there be Light, so there was Light. YH-H divided the Day from Night, making Seasons, Days, Years, Time. The Earth was a flooded realm so YH-H lowered the waters, forming Dry Land, forming Terra Firma. The Yoke of Life was sown deep into dirt bounds giving way to Meadows, Forests, and Verdant Green. He crafted from the Light the Heavenly Bodies to fill the Sky. He crafted two Great Lights, one to rule Day, the other Night. Then he propagated Life, sowing seeds of Creation into the Waters to rule the Sea, Fowls to rule the Skies, Beasts to rule the Land. At last, the final work was the Creation of Man-- sowing the Breath of Life into Clay Form, giving birth to the first of his kind, Adam and a consort, Lilith. However, she was Willful and be banished to roam the land in Endless Night. YH-H then made a second consort, Eve, to accompany Adam and told them to be Fruitful and Multiply, designating them the Rulers of the Land. On the final day, YH-H rested.
Terrible Truth
Adam and Eve, unashamed of their Nakedness roamed their Domain. In abject curiosity, Eve stumbled upon a Serpent, flicking tongue and sharpened gazing upon naked form. It spoke to her, asking, "Ye that was made, ist thou unable to feast on all Yields?" Verily, she agreed, harking her creator's warning of the Forbidden Fruit, which would kill should any touch it. The Serpent did again protest, "I tell thee, this is a lie; thou shalt not die." With a flicked tongue did it continue to tempt, "Surely, thou shalt become Gods of this domain, Ruler to all." Heeding the counsel, she took upon her the fruit, biting into it, giving too a piece to her consort. Thus did they eat and thus was it revealed a terrible thing-- the truth of their nakedness. In shame, they sewed fig leaves together and other garbs.
Cast Out
YH-H returned, calling for his creations but they hid themselves in shame until they could no longer, revealing their garbed forms. Hearing their accounts about their shame for their Nakedness and the Fruit of Knowledge, YH-H was angered, cursing Serpent and Man alike for their misdeeds. The Serpent was forced to crawl on its belly for all of eternity and Adam and Eve were cast from the Gardens of Eden by Cherubim. Knowing now the Burden of Good and Evil, they were Banished, Fiery Swords to keep them at bay from ever returning.
Beget
Thus Adam and Eve bore a family-- Abel and Cain, but in spiteful jealousy, Cain slew his brother. YH-H decry the sin, punishing Cain with a heavy burden that he could not bear-- cursing him to roam the Endless Night as a Vagabound-- slain by the hands who would find him. Thus was he marked, found by none, to roam Nod east of Eden. Seth, was born from Adam and Eve whom bore many descendants. Cain, who drifted, found a wife and bore sons who themselves bore descendants. Thus did mankind multiply and make many more Sons and Daughters of Man. The Sons of YH-H came to the land unto the Daughters, bearing the Heroes of Yore, Nephilim, to live among Man.
Mabbul of Waters
YH-H saw upon the land the constructs of man and their wickedness; their inclinations and deeds twisted with foul intent. He commanded the descendant of Adam, Noah, to construct a Vessel made of Gopher Wood to house 2 of each creature, sparing him, his wife, and sons-- Shem, Ham, and Japeth. Thus was a roaring flood sent, sweeping away tarnishing lands of corruption, purged clean-- 40 long days and nights, until the 150th day. Day broke the Tempests. Noah sent forth a Raven and Dove to survey the condition of the land. Each returned to confide to Noah no area where the water did not reach. He again attempted, sending forth another Dove who returned with an Olive Branch, indicating the land's Rejuvenation. Thus did every Fleshy thing in the Vessel make their way out and reoccupy Terra Firma, and Noah his family claimed the land, clean purged of Treachery and Wickedness.
The Present is a Gift
In such times hence, humanity prospered, spanned out, and grew both in reason and logic. What was thought to be history was quietly shuttered away in libraries as archived accounts of the superstitious and religious. Indeed, much of this faith has waned with the passage of time, seeing them naught more as parables of a bygone era. The world is much different today. Humanity has lived, thrived, and spanned all corners of the world, building their own Towers of Babel, piercing the sky as they were thought to have eons go. With their machines, citadels, and technology, humanity has grown substantially. The accounts of mythological beings and the sort seem like nothing more than Hollywood tropes and fantasies imagined by corporate shills; however, little do the masses know of the existence of these beings not as a fable but rather as fact. Though much of their activities have been hidden under the guise of human activity, conspiracy theorist have always challenged their existence as being more than just stories.
Things are changing though as tensions mount. A quiet and disheartening presence lurks where it remained hidden before. Strange beings with powers and magic beyond understanding have shown up, calling themselves 'Revivalists', their work seemingly is geared towards the unraveling of humanity.
This is a story between the struggle of Mankind and their quest for Truth, Redemption, and Salvation.
